OK, first, the patch rocks! Absolutely love it. Second, IIRC, when my wingie would call out targets: "Contact Armor Target, 1 o'clock!"...it used to show up on the TAD as a white "wedding cake" symbol. It no longer seems to do this....at least in quick action missions. Am I forgetting to do something here? Forgive me, I'm still learning the Hog.

I've been using "Programmer's Notepad" and it seems to be working okay so far. I'll try and insert my server.lua file into the zipped MIZ file when I get home from work at see what happens. This has been keeping me from continuing that campaign and it's driving me crazy.
-
Wow...I did not know that. Very cool. Thanks!
-
Okay, I'm just stupid, but I can't find these folders for this mission. I've found the MIZ files, but that's it. When I open it in the editor, I can't find anything unusual, or where to replace the server.lua. Where am I looking again?
-
Thanks, I try replacing the server.lua with my modded one and see what happens.

Don't know if this is a bug or intentional, but I'm having a problem flying campaign missions. I've set up my views to have a different FOV and a different view angle limit. But when I try to fly the 2nd mission of the Revanche <sp?> campaign, the view reverts back to default. I've got the "keep these settings for all missions" checked in the options, but it still gives me the default FOV and angle limits. I've searched the forums, but found nothing. Am I missing something?

This is completely awesome! Your post had made my week. Can't wait to try it out. And I have messed with the ME some (just setting up some basic missions to try out tactics). But I'm afraid I don't have the imagination to come up with any interesting missions. :(

Any program that will just give me some random missions in single player would be great. Doesn't necessarily have to be "Dynamic". DoctorK's RamGen was exactly what I was looking for. Even if we had some sort of FC --> FC2 mission converter it would be okay by me. The only problem being the new airbases and the ones that got removed.
-
I'd be willing to buy DoctorK a copy of FC2 if that means we see a RamGen for it.

Turn Vertical Sync on in the nVidia panel...turn triple buffering on for good measure as well.
-
You just know I had to bump this. DoctorK, you gonna get FC 2.0 and work your magic? As it is, FC 2.0 is great but woefully lacking in the missions and campaigns dept. And updated version of your generator combined with all the tricks that the new mission designer has could create some great random and dynamic missions!
-
I'm really hoping DoctorK will make this compatible with the upcoming FC 2.0...please oh please!

Just curious, any more updates?

Help with graphical glitch in clouds?
tn_prvteye replied to luden's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I think this problem pops up no matter what the settings. I installed the latest Nvidia drivers, and set the profile to "trilinear" and "quality". It worked fine. I then played some Il-2, came back later and loaded LOMAC. During a morning mission, the clouds screwed up again. I reset everything in the control panel, but no go. Set to "High Quality", still no change. Is there anyway to get LOMAC to use the older driver's DLLs instead of the new ones? I like the performance increase with the shooters I play, but I'm going back to the older drivers if I can't run LOMAC. Gotta have priorities you know... -
Freakin' awesome DoctorK...thanks again.

A Poor Man's Dynamic Campaign Engine
tn_prvteye replied to ericinexile's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Take a look at what DoctorK is doing with LOMAC. Yes, it's not really dynamic (a la F4), but it is random, and in my opinion, very fun! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36455 He said he's not going to do one for BS, but it shows that it's possible. -
Thanks for the help, anyway...your advice was exactly what was wrong! I got so worked up about the whole "trim" thing, that I forgot the basics! :D
-
:poster_oops:Nevermind got it sorted. N00b mistake, needed to re-cal my stick.
-
Forward Cyclic on Trim button I've searched through the Trim topic but can't find it. Ever since I've had BS, I've had NO problem trimming. I get it. I don't need an explanation how it works. But for some reason when I loaded up BS today, my trim keep adding forward cyclic, not matter what I input. I can be at a hover, with stick centered and press the trim button...it automatically adds forward cyclic and my helo nosedives. I SWEAR I've never seen this before. All Autopilot modes off, FD off. But now I can't trim the way I've done before...I really can't trim at all now. Did I screw something up somewhere?
-
Just out of curiosity, are you planning to add any more features? Not that I'm complaining, mind you...this program rocks!

Had a blast with this last night. Didn't do very well (got my arse handed to me). I was flying the T-Frog on a CAS mission. Managed to dodge the SAMS but got nailed by an intercepting F-16 Flight. The battle-field was just jumping with activity...my FAC firing smoke rockets, the SEAD flight popping off SAM sites...a flight of Su-30s doing CAP. Just awesome. DoctorK...you are the BEST!
-
Awesome! Can't wait to try it tonight!

RaMGen: Random Mission Generator Bata1 for LOFC
tn_prvteye replied to DoctorK's topic in DCS Modding
This has the potential of being one of the greatest mods ever. I am REALLY impressed. I flew a mission last night that was completely awesome. I was leading a flight of Fulcrums to hit a military base at night. Sure enough, the FAC came around and lit the area with flares so we could see it. Rolled in and AAA started to come up. Very nerve-racking. When I finally returned to base (barely), there was an Su-25T ferry flight taking off from the airfield, and another Cargo flight incoming. Loved it... and it's so damn simple to customize and use. Hat's off to you sir...one question, though: Where were you 4 years ago??????? :D
