  1. Take a look at what DoctorK is doing with LOMAC. Yes, it's not really dynamic (a la F4), but it is random, and in my opinion, very fun! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36455 He said he's not going to do one for BS, but it shows that it's possible.
  2. Thanks for the help, anyway...your advice was exactly what was wrong! I got so worked up about the whole "trim" thing, that I forgot the basics! :D
  3. :poster_oops:Nevermind got it sorted. N00b mistake, needed to re-cal my stick.
  4. Forward Cyclic on Trim button I've searched through the Trim topic but can't find it. Ever since I've had BS, I've had NO problem trimming. I get it. I don't need an explanation how it works. But for some reason when I loaded up BS today, my trim keep adding forward cyclic, not matter what I input. I can be at a hover, with stick centered and press the trim button...it automatically adds forward cyclic and my helo nosedives. I SWEAR I've never seen this before. All Autopilot modes off, FD off. But now I can't trim the way I've done before...I really can't trim at all now. Did I screw something up somewhere?
  5. Just out of curiosity, are you planning to add any more features? Not that I'm complaining, mind you...this program rocks!
  6. Had a blast with this last night. Didn't do very well (got my arse handed to me). I was flying the T-Frog on a CAS mission. Managed to dodge the SAMS but got nailed by an intercepting F-16 Flight. The battle-field was just jumping with activity...my FAC firing smoke rockets, the SEAD flight popping off SAM sites...a flight of Su-30s doing CAP. Just awesome. DoctorK...you are the BEST!
  7. Awesome! Can't wait to try it tonight!
  8. This has the potential of being one of the greatest mods ever. I am REALLY impressed. I flew a mission last night that was completely awesome. I was leading a flight of Fulcrums to hit a military base at night. Sure enough, the FAC came around and lit the area with flares so we could see it. Rolled in and AAA started to come up. Very nerve-racking. When I finally returned to base (barely), there was an Su-25T ferry flight taking off from the airfield, and another Cargo flight incoming. Loved it... and it's so damn simple to customize and use. Hat's off to you sir...one question, though: Where were you 4 years ago??????? :D
  9. Here ya go: All credit to 666th_birdy: http://352ndfg.com/smf/index.php?topic=1164.0
  10. Yes it is...there's a simple edit that was used in LOMAC that also works in BS. I'll need to search for it though as I can't remember what the steps were.
  11. Well I was hovering after about a 1/2 hour of instruction. Picking up and putting down were another matter entirely! :D My instructor had me hover-taxi back to the tarmac on my second flight (I had to weave in between parked helicopters..I was VERY scared). I almost killed us putting down, though...dropped the collective too fast and he grabbed it from me at screamed "NO". I LOVED hovering...I'm not bragging here, I just took to it fairly quickly. Unfortunately that was about the only thing I took to! (I left flight school after only 10 hours due to family reasons). This was in a Schweizer BTW.
  12. Well, when I was taking Helicopter lessons, I used FSX to practice start-up procedures. My instructor said: "Wow, you got that down quick!" :D
  13. Wow...more great stuff! Thank you!
  14. Okay, I got mine to work. You need dotNet 3.5. I had 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0. Works like a charm now! GREAT program. I'm havin' a blast with it. It's nice to load up the kinda mission you want to fly, in the aircraft you want, and just go blow stuff up. The Fast Battle Planner is too simple, and the stock missions I've played too many times! This is exactly what the "Doctor" ordered! ;) Keep it up!
  15. This sounds GREAT! Exactly what I've been waiting for...can't wait to get home and try it. BTW, I tried running it at work (just to see what it's like) and it wouldn't run. Do you need LOMAC installed for it to work properly?...I'd assume so. I've got the latest DotNet updates, too.
  16. Depends on who likes to be on top. <zing> Thank you, thank you...tip your waitress, try the veal...
  17. Excellent, thank you...
  18. I seem to remember a preview vid that had Ka-50s attacking an Aircraft Carrier. Anyone remember what it was called?
  19. So are there any circumstances when we should set it to "low"?
  20. SLI is overrated...at least for sims. In fact, one of my cards (8800GTX) overheated so I removed it. I haven't seen a difference...in fact, the case is cooler now without the extra card heating it up. I've also got the Q6600...what kind of cooling are you using? I'm considering O/Cing but don't want to press my luck with air-cooling. Sorry to de-rail the thread! I was looking at these commands myself. I was going to post the same question, but you beat me to it.
  21. Ok, folks...here ya go. Insert this into the LandTexturesTGA.cdds file using ModMan. Found in \Bazar\Terrain\Surface\ I accept no responsibility if you blow up your PC. ;) CLOUDSHADOW.rar
  22. Okay, no problem...I'll do it this evening! Does it matter to anyone if it's a ZIP or a RAR?
  23. I found out another helpful tip online last night: Don't drink and fly! I had a few too many White Russians (oh, the irony) before going online. I did fine until I ran across the enemy. I didn't get shot down, though. I was just about to WP 6 when I saw them. I then freaked out, yanked the cyclic back, dropped the collective too quick, and got into a vortex-ring state. BOOM. Next attempt, I said "Screw the valley, I'm going over the top". I forgot about the warning in the briefing about staying IN the valley. BOOM. Not even sure what got me. No laser warning, no visible baddies...just BOOM. Apparently my explosion could be seen for several kilometers and was very entertaining to watch. So, from now on, stay off the sauce before flight! Although, I didn't have any icing problems this time out...so that's something anyway.
  24. I don't know if I can...are there any legal issues? I wouldn't think so, but if anyone knows otherwise, please tell me...I don't wanna get into trouble. :) I can't do it from work, but if I have enough time tonight at home, I'll upload it somewhere.
  25. HAHAHAHA!! That's GREAT! And I can sympathize about the wife & kids...I've been staying up late just to get some time alone with my new "love"... :) And yes, you DO have to ask for a disconnect...I found out the same way you did!
