I'm building a 1/72 scale Su-25T(39 really), and I came across a unique camo scheme I like. However, I can only find side views. Does anyone have any more reference pictures of the following aircraft? (Red 84) I really need top views. I may also create a skin for it if my Photoshop skills aren't too rusty.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info!

Is there a parameter that essentially means "On mission start"? I've looked around Hoggit, but can't find what I'm looking for. This is a 'Do Script File', BTW.
-
Ah function call AFTER the function. Makes sense.

I can't code...like, at all. But what I can do is take snippets of other people's stuff and mash them together to do things I need. I don't release these franken-scripts, and only use them for my own off-line missions. I hope this is acceptable, and won't get me in trouble. Anyway, I'm having an issue. I'm trying to run a function at mission start that was originally called from the F10 Radio menu. Is this possible?

I think you're making a VERY generous assumption about my flying ability. :joystick:

Quick question about the OOB.ini file. I looked through the thread but didn't see this question. If I change the Player=true from one unit to another, is this all that's required to generate a Campaign with that aircraft? Or is there another place I need to change the flyable aircraft in the campaign? And then run the "First Mission" BAT file, of course.

Nordic Battle - Viggen DCE campaign
tn_prvteye replied to Cristofer's topic in User Created Missions General
I actually had the same issue with other DCE campaigns. Apparently, Civilian Traffic got broken in a recent patch...that added with all the static A/C kills FPS. I turned Civilian Traffic off, and everything was back to normal. -
Excellent! Thanks for the quick response! Now back to trying to take off in the Spitfire.

I know this is WAY down the list of things to look at, but I was wondering if the Fast Mission Generator Templates and Nodes would ever be implemented? It's still a pretty handy tool for us offline guys.

Ok, I had to replace my X52 after it finally broke (for good this time). I decided to try the the T.16000M (the HOTAS version with the throttle). And I HATE the software. Anyway, I've got an odd issue and I was hoping someone here has seen it before. I'm avoiding using the TARGET software for now since when I run a config, none of the hats are recognized by DCS, and I HAVE to use TARGET to program all of it. When I don't run a config, DCS sees all the hats and buttons fine. So, I decided to assign a modifier in DCS...I assigned a button on the throttle as a modifier. However, this modifier acts as a TOGGLE switch instead of a"press and hold" to activate switch. In other words, I hold down the modifier button and then another button and then release....the modifier stays active until I press it again. Example: I've assigned JOY1 to Cockpit View, and JOY2 (modifier)+JOY1 as external view. So I press and hold JOY2, then JOY1...I go to external view. Now with JOY2 not being touched, I press JOY1 again...still goes to external view...like JOY2 was still being pressed. I press JOY2 AGAIN...release, THEN press JOY1 it goes to Cockpit view. This make any sense? I hope I've explained this well enough...I haven't had enough coffee yet. Yes I know I can use the TARGET software, but I want to avoid that if possible. UPDATE: Ok, I definitely need more coffee. I assigned it as a"Switch", not a modifier. Please disregard, but I'll keep the post up as a lesson to others...don't be like me. :D

Yeah, but I'm a single-player guy, and my AI wingmen can be...difficult sometimes. :)

I started switching to Medium Freq ENT mode after the target gets into range, and that seemed to help keep a lock a little bit. Still getting blasted out of the sky quite often. Don't get me wrong, I love the Mirage, but its survivability seems a bit low...at least in the BVW department. It will totally kick ass in the dogfight, though.

I've searched the forums, and it seemed there was an issue with Radar losing it's lock, particularly after firing a 530. This is happening to me all the time now. Most the shots are head-on, and the targets do start to beam. But every time? I haven't made a kill with the 530 in quite some time. The missile is just about to impact, and the scope goes blank. Can't even re-acquire. Just wanting to see if this is indeed a bug, or I need to try a different approach.

It's all in the init folder...seriously. There are comments for everything, and I even managed to made a very quick (not for release because it was seriously simple) campaign in the Caucasus. The Engine doesn't care which map you use. Again, all that's needed is time. I just looked at his base mission, figured out that the LUA files have a tasking order that uses the units' names as the identifier (i.e. EWE site 101) and then lists them as a potential target. You'll need to go into the LUA file and create a target list of every unit on the map....very time consuming, but I can see why he did this. Then add every load-out type, for every mission type, for every aircraft in the Campaign. It's highly configurable. Granted, I haven't tested the Tiger campaign much because I keep dying. Alot. :D How the hell do you guys fly the F-5E? Seems like suicide.
-
Well, I can't speak for MBot, but looking at his scripts and the files in the INIT folder, it IS possible. Very time-consuming, but possible. You basically have to create an initial Mission with all the ground forces and Targets in place. Then create the OOB in the LUA files...THEN create target lists and so on and so forth. It's all laid out in the files, it will just take some time to create one from scratch. His other scripts do all the Campaign work. So doable, yes. Quick? No.

Oops, forgot that part. :). I managed to get it to work last night myself...No time to test the mission, though. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Change the CMP file. You'll see the line I'm talking about. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Excellent!!! I may have purchase the Tiger now. :) Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

I also thought I'd try to modify it a bit for the Causcus. I took a peek at the scripts, and immediately closed the browser. The amount of time MBot put into this is astounding! My weak skills are not up to the task. MBot, I know earlier on you said that this engine was designed to be adaptable to different theaters and aircraft. After bug squashing, will you be releasing any documents or tips for users to make their own campaigns? Please don't think I'm complaining, you've done an amazing thing for DCS!
-
Crap, don't have the F-5. But I'm sure this is just a stepping stone to other campaigns and theaters. Looking forward to the future of this mod!

I'd like to try it, too! I really need some 530D practice. Any missions that have a random element to them, I'm all for.
