  1. I currently use two displays: main display - expensive DELL Monitor 27 inch with 2540x1440 pixels second display - cheap ancient (2008-ish) LG TV 32 inch with 1360x768 pixels Honestly the difference between the both is not that big. I have used the LG TV as my PC main monitor for years and it worked great. Input lag is very small. Do a good research on input lag before you buy, thats the main argument for gaming use of a TV.
  2. Zooming changes your Field of View. In VR you need a fixed Field of View that works in correlation with the headset. If they let us zoom / change Field of View in VR in analog way, then you would have to set it back to correct FOV everytime after you zoom. Most of time the view will be distorted and people will report and rage that VR support is broken. That's why they don't let us analog zoom.
  4. I have problems with the Rift microphone and Voice Attack too. The recording audio from the Rift is very quiet. Voice Attack barely can hear the mic. All settings in Voice Attack and windows are set to loud.
  5. Wow thats really a tight space ! The pilot seems to be thin and justs fits inside :) I think the reason why in VR scale is never 100% right is because in reality we measure space in realtion to our own body. In VR you dont have that reference and therefore the brain does not 100% believe the scale.
  6. Sorry, I have no answers, only more questions :) Have you tried other aircraft in VR? For example the overall scale of the F15 cockpit is ok. Some switches and stuff on the sidepanels look a little "thin". Also in Race cars I often have the impression that things are not thick enough. In VR this seems like a "paper thin" effect. I guess it is a very fine balance to make things not too thick and not too thin in VR. There are a lot of factors for the scale everyone experiences.
  7. I just did ! It was the most awful second of my whole week :)
World 1.5 Caucasus Modules: Flaming Cliffs 3 Vision: Oculus Rift CV1 Headtracking: Oculus Rift CV1 Sound: Oculus Rift CV1 Comms: Voice Attack Controls: Hotas X52 Pro Rudder: Race pedals Handtracking: none Motion: none Force: none VR 2.0 Software: DCS World 2.5 Caucasus, Nevada, Strait of Hormuz Modules: KA-50, A-10C, F-14, F/A-18C Vision: Oculus Rift CV2 Headtracking: Oculus Rift CV2 Sound: Oculus Rift CV2 Comms: Voice Attack, Vaicom 2.0, Simple Radio Controls: Hotas Thrustmaster Warthog Rudder: Flight Pedals Handtracking: Leap Motion / VR gloves Motion: 2 DOF Motion Rig Force: Jetseat
  10. Priority list 1. Flyable: keep DCS World main focus on higly detailed ultra realistic dedicated combat aircraft 2. Non-flyable: Maybe add some civil / unarmed military AI aircraft (not flyable by player) to simulate real world traffic around airports and in no-fight areas 3. Flyable: Maybe add unarmed military aircraft like AWACS, tankers, cargo, reconnaisance, surveillance drones etc. I think to put in the classical FSX civil airliners is not advisable for Eagle Dynamics.
  11. Very well worded :) I am a typical happy user that has been enjoying DCS for years and reading news / keeping up to date about DCS since Black Shark 1 was announced. I just recently started posting some VR comments in the forum.
  14. When the boom touches the plane: the whole tanker explodes. All 4 engines explode simultaneously, the cockpit starts burning and it has bullet holes all over it... thats some serious holywood action going for a slight touch ;)
  17. @assafm25 I think since last weeks update 1.5.5 clickable radio menu is implemented natively in DCS? Try that out.
  18. It depends also on the aircraft, some modules get better FPS. I think Pixel Density 1.8 is too high. With 1.8 you render essentially 4K in stereoscopic 3D VR for two eyes. Your other settings are fine. Check some of the other threads about VR Performance. 2.0.4. is completely broken for VR. For everyone. Don't try that. 1.5.5. should be fine tough. Problem could be the newest Nvidia drivers are very bad.
  19. Another glorious friday :) The friday DCS news are the highlight of my work day every friday :) Please keep the habit of publishing friday News, I love it ! :clap_2:
  23. I have good performance and no problems too. DCS 1.5.5 + Oculus 1.10 everything fine !
  24. Just write google an E-Mail to get the license to use their stuff. I think they will make it a gift for DCS ;) And then it's just some simple coding to implement. One DCS employee for a half day I would say ;) Just kidding. VR is great, I want to try Google Earth VR too :)
