  1. Have you set the throttle axis as a slider?
  2. Don't think it's hard, (resource and time restrictions only), as VAICOM a free plugin for VoiceAttack pretty much does some of the things you are asking for already. It integrates with the existing kneeboards, and records all the comms from the radio communication. BUT I'm not sure it does it for special dialogs from DLC campaigns. Don't remember to be honest. For those special cases, I just press ESC and click show history or something. Well, I actually do that with a VoiceAttack command together with Taz1004's "Non pause briefing" mod. What you ask for is how it should be done by ED, along with the features of all mods mentioned in this thread. Cheers!
  3. Are you using the "Communications Menu" keybind "\", and not the correct PTT keybinds to transmit? The communication menu keybind only works on the ground, for FC level airframes, and if Easy Comms is enabled under the general settings. Many missions force Easy Comms off. Cheers!
  4. I believe substantial is the word here as I'm not aware ED is neither public nor have that many shares. [emoji6] That said, quite a few of us are planning to win the lottery, and then invest! [emoji1] @Tank50us you have confirmed you're with me, right? [emoji6] [emoji1303]
  5. @biguest3 Short answer, not a bug, perform a full repair. TL:DR I get the same when I let Helios install its patches, so I have a "mod" that will revert those changes Helios does for the Phantom. Not sure if exports are supported by HB yet, while I've read about users that have successfully accomplished this without seeing what you see. I've yet to try to fix this personally. Cheers!
  6. @BluesRocket What's your stick settings under the special settings for the Viper? I've turned those off with zero deadzones for both axis. (We didn't have those settings before as ED forced us to use a virtual force sensing stick, even if you had a regular sprung one). Apart from this, I fly the Viper with an entry level stick, the TM T16K, with no curves or deadzones whatsoever. AAR will click one day for you, and it will feel like some great, (while stupid ), accomplishment, and you will be amazed of how easy it actually is. But, it must click! Just like swimming or riding a bike. Can you formation fly? If not, learn that first. Greatest advice I received. In the Viper, as a fly by wire airframes, (that trims itself and stuff), it will do the most work for you, as long as you are a little steady. Throttle management is much more important! Also! When you open the refueling lid, the, the computer in the airframe will change the input sensitivity levels, (landing levels?), which will be different from when you're in ordinary flight. Hence why I don't like using curves in the Viper. Now, everyone else's input and personal advices are incoming, and welcome! Pick those that works best for you! Cheers!
  7. Yup! And not only for the modules you own, but all. So users can make better educated choices. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  8. @Oriole Try to open the Windows joystick tool, and delete tbe calibration/settings there. Then try to recalibrate in the VPC tool.
  9. Yeah, but he was using his phone, and as you say, they are not always up to day. @Tom P Just let him be. For some reason he will always oppose ideas he doesn't understand/see the benefit of. Personally I run a script after updates that copies all pdfs to my Onedrive. Use your favourite cloud storage. Another neat trick is to have a Kindle/Amazon account, and just send them to the Kindle app.
  10. Attack? He responded to a pretty off hand remark that came out of nowhere without any form of constructive criticism. Read the room! Well said. You're in the right here and I thank you in advance for your hard work! Cheers!
  11. A repair will always be the better solution, while like Rudel mentions. A repair doesn't touch Saved Games if there's a corruption there. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  12. There is no standard in DCS. Left should be down and CCW. Right the opposite. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  13. No, rename the DCS folder under your saved games. Probably a corrupt file. Many people have been running into issues lately. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  14. I use VoiceAttack for pressing the spacebar. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  15. Excellent! [emoji1303] @BIGNEWY @NineLine it seems this bug has resurfaced. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  16. @YoYo I agree with @Silver_Dragon I think ORBX will go south and make a Baltics map, and OnReTech is for sure making a Balkans map. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  17. Fair enough! The attention to details catches me off guard quite often. Haha!
  18. You're either joking or not working in IT. @Dragon1-1 is totally correct. Not that many years ago there were quite a few jokes in the industry about NATO systems still running NT 4.0 with needed floppy disk support.
  19. Did you fly a mission on the Caucasus first? Try to restart DCS, and then enter the same mission. If you still receive the same error save a track and post it here. If not. Fly a mission on the Caucasus, then the same mission on the PG map, and save a track. This was a common bug some years ago. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  20. Yes, either the map team should come up with their own company name and be a single entity with both SA and Kola map under it, or the SA map should be transferred to ORBX to avoid confusion for the users. Maybe one of the issues is the assets that came with the SA map. Who knows if their part of the map, or Razbam. We see now that other Razmab assets might also be removed from DCS like the Tarawa and the KC-130. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  21. True, file and folders that are not part of the DCS core, while placed there, will/(should) not be removed during updates, and not break IC. However, they will be removed during repairs. I do this for user missions and campaigns. @Despayre, your way of batch files are nice. Personally, I prefer adding any file to the core with mod managers. @ASW, have you considered making playlists by having mod packs in a mod manager? If you name them like @draconus says, you pretty much have full control. A almost betting you can even disable/enable them during flying for swapping out the tapes. That at least works with kneeboards. I applaud HB for adding this nostalgic feature, though I have not, and I probably never will use it. Stopped messing with sound files ages ago. I use a Spotify plugin for VoiceAttack. Way easier to just make my playlists there, even if my MP3/Flac library is about 1TB. I cannot bother to convert them to OGG. Cheers!
  22. I just ignore them. [emoji6] To be honest I never ever noticed it was there anyway, until someone complained about it. Actually, it's not here on the forum, only on the main site, right? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  23. Count me in! We've seen the videos of crew members climbing out of the Apache. Hopefully all the groundwork has been laid to make these animations work throughout the sim, especially for soldiers and helicopters/transports.
  24. He's probably using Steam, and as this is his first post, he was probably not allowed to post at the correct place. Funny this way this forum. Probably the best way is to have new users post a "hello" in a "this is me" welcome thread.
  25. Well, it sort of is. The model was made ten years ago, and the subcontractors that made the special necessary mandatory parts to keep it running doesn't exists anymore. Tough luck! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
