Hi everybody, made a video of a single player mission I created to emjoy the m-2000 and Nevada map. Enjoy.

Well, maybe not that bad an idea. I guess it is difficult to enjoy dcs without participating in this forum. The beast is too much to handle alone. So many tips and hints and so much outdated manual and information. Yes YouTube helps a lot, but you need to know what to look for. I look into the forum and learn so many things I never new existed. I do not visit forums in the internet usually. Actually this is the only one.

Eagle dynamics would be able to see who of the known accounts is still buying new modules. Not sure if the updater will login. It would be the best way to identify who is using which version. It would probably be not a big thing for them to scan the internet for any servers and protocol number of logged in users?

You changed everything but the video card? what card are you using?

Actually dcs does not support sli yet. Was mentioned in the last video interview by wags.

The problem is that we only get confirmation if a patch gets out, but not always if not. Back when Friday was news and patch day, we would know if or if not there is a patch. A short comment from the developers that today there will be no patch would be very helpful to reduce the anticipation for some of us.

Raise the pixel density to something like 1.5. you can find it in the VR tab.

I have 6 drives. But my new ssd is actually not connected to sata, but m.2 using an adapter card. About 6 times faster. But you will need enough free lanes on your motherboard.

Been there. It is now one year since I started with dcs. My ssd kept getting fuller and fuller. There was no space for Normandie, so I started moving 2.0 to another disk. But that disk was not ssd and that was way too slow to have fun. In the end I did what most others did (you can read it in their message footers) i got another ssd just for dcs. Yes, yes, I know, i'm a dcs junky. At least I know it.

Hi, I came across a problem editing my first dcs video. I used a recording of one of my missions and played it back 2 times. Both times where recorded using ShadowPlay. I did this to get different camera angles of the same moment. Afterwards I put both takes into a multi camera aware editor (I used Davinci Resolve) and was able to switch between camera views. Now, what I noticed is that the clouds in dcs do not look the same in both takes. They seem to be randomized in a way that cannot be reproduced in the playback. Looks strange when in one camera there are a lot of clouds, while in the other, there are none. Did anybody have the same issue? Does anybody know how to fix this? Maybe by defining the random seed at the start of the playback somehow?

Hi, I was searching for a good editing software and came across Davinci Resolve. Has anybody any experience with it? The free version is more than enough for editing dcs playback movies caaptured with shadowplay. I'm still searching for some nice color 3D LUT (Lookup table) to give the movie a special look.

@funkyfranky, I want to be able to change my setting in the GUI without loosing these settings next time I change it using your OvGME. I also would prefere to have one batch file for 2D and one for VR to do everything including starting of DCS. So, I wrote a batch file similar to what mithandra wrote in https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171629.

@mithandra, I came to a very similar solution using batch files to solve my problem of needing more than one option.lua file, as in 2D I can go much higher with the settings for recording a video. See https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190666. But you might want to enhance your batch file by adding a line at the end that copies the option.lua back to optionsVR.lua respectively optionsNOVR.lua after dcs.exe has terminated. This way, you can still use the GUI to make changes to the current settings and they are not overwritten on the next start.

I'm not sure how one would manage alternative configuration files like that. How do you ensure that if you change the settings, it is not overwritten next time you switch to a new option version?

I'm searching for a way to have several game options to switch between. I fly only in VR, but then run the recorded track in 2D to capture as a mp4 clip. I assume that everybody who is uploading these nice movies we all love is doing the same. In VR I need to reduce some of the system settings and unfortunately I have to enable Labels. In 2D I can go much higher with the system settings especially in 2.1.1, as I can use Anisotropic Filtering and MSAA, Labels look ugly in a movie. I start DCS using 2 shortcuts that turn VR On/Off. Is there a way to pass a CLI option with the location the options.lua? I assume that is where the options are stored? Somebody must have a solution to this. It must be annoying a lot of people. Thanks, Azrayen and Ramsay now I know that it is how it is suppose to be and how it is implemented in actual airplanes of today. I did not know that an airbus had a synthetic runway.

Hi, need help or confirmation. I'm currently experimenting with ILS and autopilot. The autopilot is suppose to bring the plain down to the runway, which he is doing quite well, only that the last 2 - 3 meters are rough. I noticed that the synthetic runway actually is a bit higher than the actual runway and that the autopilot would hit the runway just great if it had the same height as the synthetic one. Why do I have this mismatching of synthetic and real runway? Now, is anybody experiencing the same thing? Am I doing something wrong? Edit: I'm testing this at Creech.

Just checked in Creech and there it works. Tower sends me to the correct runway to takeoff against wind. Thanks!

Hi noticed that Creech has runway 13 and not 12 as in your chart. Typo or was this changed in the last NTTR update?

Die gibt es scheinbar nicht für NTTR? Da fliege ich im Moment nur noch. Normandie ist zu langsam in VR und Georgien zu langweilig.
