I'm starting to have more than 8 triggers in a mission and some of them are actually good to use in other missions. But I have no idea how to copy a trigger from one mission to the next. Of course I can save it as a new mission and start from scratch, reusing the triggers. But then I cannot copy a trigger or a set of triggers from another mission back to this new mission. In other words: where can I found the actual code fo the triggers so that I can copy/past it in a text editor? Would make my life much easier. There must be a way. I cannot imagine that actual missions in a campaign are all created every time from scratch.

I habe the same issue at night in any map. Only Persian gulf map night light is good. So, fly in Persian map for now.

Interesting, I do that all the time. But I never pause during playback.

I noticed that accuracy is much worse if you pause while playing back. Try without pausing.

[FIXED FOR NEXT UPDATE] Radar and tracking
kunterbunt replied to DarksydeRob's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have the problem that fly head on towards a target and the radar will never find it. Not one time. Only once did I actually see a target, but my joystick was not working and I was not able to test if I was bale to lock it. Never again. I wait for about 3 minutes and then I can see the enemy and he shoots a M9 at me and I'm dead. My radar will not see him. Is this WIP or am I too stupid to use it? I followed Wags video. -
How do you turn on runway lights?
kunterbunt replied to Charley's topic in User Created Missions General
Unfortunately lots of clouds with train in the early morning will make it very difficult to spot the runway. Better leave the lights on all the time. -
I have a 980ti and fly in vr.

Wow, i was really looking forward to this guide but was not hoping to get it another month or so. Super!

Great feature for mission designers.

Performance in VR is too low, what is wrong
kunterbunt replied to kunterbunt's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Using the recommended settings (MSAA x4, my god) is getting me 34 FPS in Caucasus map. These settings are not for my GPU. I cannot use MSAA. Using MSAA x 4 with Pixel Density of 1.3 will even limit the main screen FPS to 53. While MSAA off will give me 127 FPS in the main screen. The same test in the Caucasus map with MSAA off gives me 45 FPS. Very happy with that. The same test in the Persian Gulf with MSAA off gives me 30 - 45 FPS. Very unstable frame rate. Looks as if Persian Gulf map will cause unstable FPS through unstable CPU high usage. My GPU is not busy. In other words, it is a Persian Gulf problem. Lets wait and see if it becomes better after release. It is still in early access. -
Performance in VR is too low, what is wrong
kunterbunt replied to kunterbunt's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Why would CPU be a bottleneck in VR at 30 FPS but in 2D at 51 FPS? Anyhow, I switch off all shadows (why would that be CPU intensive?) and moved view distance to minimum. Morrows where already off (why would that be CPU intensive?). Result: same as before. No change what soever. 30 FPS in VR. My i7-3770K is about 5 years old, but single core performance is only 33% less than i7-8770K. 33% should only help to reach 40 FPS. So my question: Does anybody get more than 40 FPS out of VR in DCS? -
Performance in VR is too low, what is wrong
kunterbunt replied to kunterbunt's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Thanks (504)Blade. PD is set to 1.3, but I suspect that GPU load would have been 100% if that is the limiting factor. Concerning MSAA, I used standard VR settings (push the VR Preset button), so MSAA is Off. I attached my settings now. They apply for 2D and VR. I always check if my GPU is set to "prefer maximum performance", as once after an update it was back to normal. But, all these tips help only if my GPU is the bottleneck, which it is not, as it is idling at about 60%. -
Due to poor performance in VR in combination with Deferred Rendering I investigated to find the bottleneck in my system. All test where conducted using the standard VR settings for DCS and parking hot in the F-18 in the Persian Gulf map. The results are strange. My results in VR show that although my GPU is only running at 63% (basically not busy), I cannot get higher FPS than 30. My GPU does not seem to be the bottleneck. So, it probably is the CPU, which is running 2 cores full power. Sounds logical. My results in 2D show that although my GPU is only running at 58% (basically not busy), I get 51 FPS. Why is it possible to get 51 FPS in 2D if the CPU is the bottleneck? If my GPU is not busy in VR, it should also be possible to get 51 FPS. Why can't I get 51 FTP in VR? What is the actual bottleneck, as it does not seem to be the GUI or CPU that is limiting me to 30 FPS in VR. Any advise? I would get a new computer, if it would help, but I'm not so sure about it, as both CPU and GPU are not the limiting factor. I'm also a bit disappointed by performance increase in CPUs in the last 5 years.

Agree that it would be nice for eagle dynamics to state if HDR is actually in the roadmap for the next years. I usually buy a monitor for at least 7 years. So, would not buy one without HDR at this moment. 7 years is a long time.

From my very simple measurement I got 22 FPS with rain effect instead of 33 FPS without the effect. All in vr. If that is true I will have to live without it for now.:( What are your meals Experiences?

night time flying looks like dust everywhere
kunterbunt replied to fitness88's topic in Virtual Reality
Wait, you tell me that you do not have the “Oculus VR, LLC” key in your registry? That was generated by oculus, not me. I only added the UseSpud in that key. -

kunterbunt replied to fitness88's topic in Virtual Reality
Yes, but let me share the export from regedit. Look as if regedit will not export the first part "computer". [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oculus] "UseSpud"=dword:00000000 But I also added the same value to the existing key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oculus VR, LLC] "UseSpud"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oculus VR, LLC\LibOVR] "AswEnabled"=dword:00000001 -
night time flying looks like dust everywhere
kunterbunt replied to fitness88's topic in Virtual Reality
Yes, thanks. Interestingly, I had an entry in the registry that starts with oculus but ends with inc something. Sorry, not at my computer currently. Is it possible this entry is no longer valid with the new version? -

kunterbunt replied to fitness88's topic in Virtual Reality
tried this and did not see any change. If it is the grainy filter that can be seen in very dark scene, then it is still there. Any ideas? -

What amount of pixel density are you using, also called super sampling. It might have an impact on this effect. -
And that is why I’m actually anticipating the f-14 even more than the f-18. I hope it will have a distinctive character.

Oh, thanks, you are right. Did not think about that.
