  1. Well an overhaul is coming so it can only get better, it's already a solid aircraft. And yes as clickable aircrafts go it is pretty easy to learn compared to others (of course not including WW2 birds ^^).
  2. I'll have to do more tests with heavier payloads but it seems that with a fairly light aircraft the problem is no more or at least alot less noticable, but that's probably just me, after cycling the flaps, thank you. But this is not indicated in the DCS manual, I don't think it is in the landing lesson, this is something that has to be added. Attached is the NATOPS checklist, it's not complete but putting the flaps in auto is one of the first items. I should have dug this up ages ago. Regards, Rex.
  3. We're talking about a departure here, the FCS acts as if you boltered even if you have landed and when you take off for the second time, it's pulling up and really doesn't allow you to pitch down (the exact same behavior observed after a bolter). This can't be correct, the FCS gives you good authority and pulls up enough to keep your aircraft at 8.1° of AoA just after rotating if the airframe you are using has not flown beforehand. Also an F/A-18C pilot who tested the DCS module described the behavior of the FCS after a bolter is incorrect, and that along time ago, i'll try and get the video, in the mean time the youtube channel is called A.E.W.
  4. This issue is still very much present in game, every time I launch from a catapult after landing or take off from a runway after landing, with the same payload and trim setting then on first take off, not touching the controls, the FCS pulls up way harder and prevents me from pulling the nose down with the stick, the same can be observed if you bolter on the ship, the FCS will pull up hard after you leave the ramp and it's almost impossible to pitch down for a few seconds. EDIT : i'll come around to gather the essential information and create a bug report.
  5. I'd like to add that the IC does not detect a modification before it is loaded which means that the game will crash if you try to log onto a server which has IC enabled and pure textures or models required. So usually the hole IC becomes a real problem after having run the ME or a mission, it can be fixed by restarting the game but that is a annoying and b, since i'm loading 10GB at least in pagefile everytime I start something on DCS it's killing my SSD.
  6. Hello, I noticed that when running texture mods, the client side IC does not specify what kind of modification the client is running. This means that if a server does not require pure textures BUT has IC enabled, and the client is running a texture mod which breaks IC and is shown in the IC "report", the client will be unable to log to that server, which renders the server side IC parameters useless pretty much because the client is breaking IC even with the specific modification allowed by the server. Hope what I wrote is clear, Regards, Rex.
  7. Yes it looks like this has been fixed, i'll have to do more testing but unlike before, it's not turning in "steps", it's smoothly flying to intercept.
  8. Would be nice for this to not be left behind.
  9. It is most likely the problem, I recommend you try to install a virtual audio card or something along those lines.
  10. Inside ? Are aircrafts allowed in Mosques now ? :D
  11. Check that DCS is using an audio device, you can see it in the DCS.log in the first few lines. If it says it does not have any available then it might be the cause of your lags, that's how it was fixed on two servers I know of that had the same issue.
  12. If you mean the "alpha" letter followed by the AoA value, this letter and number should disappear when your FPM is inside the E bracket.
  13. Here is a track where you can see me evading sa-2 missiles by barely doing any maneuvering and not using any countermeasures, you can see some of the missiles passing at less then 100ft from my aircraft without them detonating, each and everyone of them were within 100m of my aircraft at some point, this is a general problem of DCS, not just for the Sa-2. Warheads and proximity fuzes need to be worked on. EDIT : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1QfYdev5wODXKbgLA0BwF5sbcHYMahmjx Sa2ProxyFuzeBug.trk
  14. Along with the Sa-2 doing weird maneuvers when trying to intercept, this makes it completely useless.
  15. Hello, I've encountered a couple of issues with the AACQ mode, an extract from the DCS : F/A-18C manual : So If I place my TDC over a radar plot, it will lock automatically instead of pressing the TDC and having a hard time locking this target, and if the TDC is not over any plots it will lock the CLOSEST aircraft in the scanned volume, so the closest aircraft detected relative to you. But from my experience, when the TDC is not over any plots and AACQ is used, it will randomly lock an aircraft from multiples detected even if they are sometimes out of the scope. Track attached, 5 M-2000C in front of me at different aspects, all at the same altitude and speed. Hopefully you can figure it out because AACQ is not very reliable in this scenario of "panic locking", failed me alot of times where I would have a bandit detected very close and it just locks something that was out of my scope (but still detected) 50 miles away. Regards, Rex. AACQProblem.trk
  16. Thank you for the answers :). Just a quick correction on my first post, only the left DDI changes to Stores when going in A/G or A/A mode.
  17. Hello, The is a thin area at the junction between the HUD and the front panel (gun camera) where the JHMCS stays on. Pictures Attached. Regards, Rex.
  18. Can confirm that in A/A mode, if a lock is commanded and the selected weapon is switched that the antenna elevation will freeze.
  19. Hello, I'm unsure if this is a bug but when switching to A/A or A/G mode, the left DDI automatically switches to the stores page and the right DDI to the radar page, will try to get a track later today. Regards, Rex.
