  1. Is Force feedback enabled ?
  2. Some of the evidence that the current RWR has some issues have been deleted because they do not comply with rule 1.16, so I assume of course that before removing those posts the moderator cautiously sent those links/posts via PM to the devs as I would seriously loose patient if belsimtek comes by and says they don't see any sufficient evidence anymore.
  3. If you look earlier in the post, you'll see that the server crashed everytime someone got in a Harrier.
  4. The issue that was plaguing this server has been solved, for quite some time now, the VPS needs a virtual audio card, it seems like this has always been a problem with DCS but particularly with the Harrier, probably because Razbam, and all third parties are now able to make custom sounds if I understood correctly, made them using a different method then ED's I guess. Anyways, no Idea if we will see this server again, It's a shame because even if it wasn't perfect, I still prefer it over Blueflag and DDCS.
  5. Funny because when I bought it, no where did it say it the flat window wasn't functioning in VR, it didn't matter because you had the physical unit in the Mi-8 but now it says it's not currently compatible, how long are we going to wait until this is figured out ? Will this ever be figured out or will it stay like combined arms ?
  6. Here is the video, it's a "Quick" flight from Kerman to Bandar Abbas, with a few hard maneuvers. Loaded with 100% Internal fuel, 3x150Gal Tanks and 2xAIM-9P5. I do adjust the ADI a few times, after takeoff is the where is saw a ridiculous amount of error (around 9°), it seems to accumulate error particularly at low speeds. ${1} EDIT : Forgot to save the track like an idiot. This isn't really a very good report, I'll try to make something shorter and that showcases the problem instead of having 30 minutes of raw footage.
  7. Well in the F-5 it's a problem but I didn't notice it in any other aircraft that I own. I would like to know if the same bug happens in the F-86F, being the closest aircraft to the F-5.
  8. I will try to provide one today, maybe with a video, what do you want me to do in it ?
  9. Indeed the stabilization fails, in the exact same way it used to do at the Hornet's release but only when doing heavy maneuvers (rolling left or right, pulling max G, put the target at 45° relative to your nose then level the plane will guarantee the loss of lock, especialy during rapid rolls, you can see the antenna trying to stay on target, and at a point it just gives up and goes all over the place, the antenna has lost the target). This is what I would do after firing a Fox 1, a crank maneuver, I can't rely on the radar, for me at least it's not ready for BVR combat, I also sometimes can't lock targets with the TDC, usually when they are within 5nm.
  10. Lets see if you can spot the difference with the release menu ^^. Says only beta testers can have access to this module but the buy hyperlink does work.
  11. Hello, I think I already saw this reported but I can't find the post and it wasn't fixed. the NS430 pop-up window in VR does not work, I can see the blue bar at the top of where the window would be but there is nothing else, I also cannot move it nor resize it. Hope this can be fixed :). Regards, Rex.
  12. He is talking about the INS displays, there is a left one and a right one. When you are in ALT setting, the left screen is in feets, the right in meters, pressing the left plus (1 key) or the left minus (7 key) on the numberpad will select the left, same thing for the right. The button to initiate alignement process when in ALN mode is the VAL green and yellow button, it is said by the narrator and it lights up. While it's not highlighted, if you follow the tutorial closely, it's pretty clear. Those training missions are really good in my opinion.
  13. The video was done a long time ago, before blast deflectors were synchronized, but the bug is the same.
  14. This is still an issue and it also happens with blast deflectors now that they are synchronized in MP.
  15. The beta was ported to release, nothing new since the last openbeta update.
  16. Nobody posted it because there is nothing new.
  17. I5 and a 1080 works just fine, i don't know who keeps spreading this myth but probably people that haven't had their hands on both, I went from an I5-4670K to an I7-8700K, still have my GTX 1080, makes no difference, even in known CPU intensive titles like Arma 3. Back on topic though, I realized that my GPU was hitting a Temp limit, it's quite hot in France and it was stuck at 82°. While removing this Temp limit made things a little better, my GPU was still not at 100% usage. And unfortunetly that makes VR almost impossible to run because whatever settings i put, i will still be at 23 FPS per eye, seriously going from PD 1.0 to 2.0 didn't make a difference. Using VR preset didn't help either.
  18. Yup, it does that on the Caucasus Map aswell.
  19. Please gib overwing vapors ^^. Can we expect an update today ?
  20. Oh well, guess I should have watched the video with sound ^^. Since people ask everytime on the forums about known issues I just automaticly searched for the changelog, Apologies. Rex
  21. ED still hasn't fixed it, i don't even understand why beta was switched to release, there was no fixes for the latest problems reported on the beta branch.
  22. Hello, Since the release of the Persian Gulf map, grid numbers, town names,... move with zoom and are not tied to the map itself. Here is a video, I was on a multiplayer server, and I'm pretty sure this happens also on the Caucasus map because I tried to find a group in Georgia with grid numbers and ended up placing a marker 50 miles away from it. Rex
  23. It would be very nice if a moderator could move back this post to the bug section, which is where I originaly posted but due the lack of evidence was moved here. I have already asked a moderator a few days ago, but did not get an answer, usually these requests are dealt with pretty quickly. (I'm not complaining)
  24. Hello, I tried to place landmines in my mission with 2D models enabled and the game froze completely, the logs said : Also the landmine doesn't do any damage. Cheers, Rex.
  25. Well in DCS, chaffs will affect the missile, which is not exactly realistic. A doppler radar with basic CCM will filter chaffs without any issues, rendering them useless if they are used alone (by that i meant without the use of ECM, which when in use with chaffs can, by sending energy on the chaffs instead of the aircraft, possibly create a new contact that could confuse the ennemy's radar, in DCS this is not simulated yet). Chaffs can be usefull used that way, and are most likely used like that today. Flares in DCS get you out of any IR missile, just fire a couple of them if the missile is more then a half a mile away it will go for them. the AIM-9M is particularly bad in DCS because of that, all the AI's i've encountered in the Harrier, flare once and my missile is trashed. They don't have supercomputers on board but they can analyse the signal, they can compare the size of the target to the one of the flares (or other heat sources) it picks up,... Missiles aren't dumb, it feels like they are in DCS. Of course flares are designed to mimic the aircraft (i'm not sure but they could be developped for each aircraft). Flares used in massive quantities, with appropriate maneuvers, will make a "wall" and potentially save you, maybe when you are far enough the missile will switch targets, but when the missile is in close (half a mile seems too close), I seriously doubt you can avoid it with flares. Countermeasures aren't useless when used properly, but right now in DCS, more with flares then chaffs, it really seems whatever you do, you can get away with countermeasures. I'm sure with the new FLIR coming for DCS and other ECM/Radar improvements, I'm no expert but i'm sure we will see a big change. EDIT : Lets get back on topic :), I'd be happy to continue the conversation though.
