  1. Hhmm, looks strange... you could check in the catalyst if there is an option for "AA-transparency" (thats the name in the nvidia control panel, don't know if it's the same for ATI) maybe this will help? you have to try...
  2. thanks for the help guys. the flag-stuff seems so be more complex than i thougt :)
  3. hi guys just wanted to ask 2 questions about triggerfunctions. english is not my native language, so even with the printed english manual i'm kinda lost about these: - when creating a new rule/trigger, i can set different rules (the middle part) for the trigger. are these rules AND or OR? so if i make the rule "unit in area" "unit=ONE" "area=Trigger" and (in the same trigger) the next rule is "unit in area" "unit=TWO" "area=Trigger", will the trigger happen when either ONE or TWO are inside the area, or have ONE AND TWO to be inside the area for this? - can someone explain me what to do with the "FLAG"-thingies? i just don't get it how the flags should work. maybe one small example would be nice.. thx and happy landings!
  4. i think, in RL you have to press/push it to move the collective. in BS, i never use it - the collective moves with no problems at all...
  5. maybe it works, as long as everyone has the mission saved on his harddrive? we have to test it... otherwise, it will be fixed anyways, so no worries about that
  6. for me, it seems like Vista is running BS with less FPS than XP, until you "loose the break" by running it on multiple cores... just a feeling, but most of the FPS numbers i see around are not very high on vista, even on good machines. without changing anything, i get 45-65 FPS out of my XP 32bit: Q6600 2.4Ghz 8800 GT 512 MB onboardsound 1680 x 1050 everything maxed out, exept water (normal) and shadows (all planar) 4xAA 8xAF v-sync on/enabled TrackIR and SaitekSST running (and maybe 20 troyans, on a very fragmented HDD :))
  7. it's a little bit strange first, the whole trim-thing... yesterday i tried different methods. if you don't hold down the trim button when maneovering, it works best if you only HIT the trim button and immediately release the stick. do not press it longer than for a fraction of a second. otherwise, hold it down while steering, then release the trim and immediately release the stick. if you hold down the trim longer than a fraction of a second, but not long enough (i don't know the time, maybe something around 2-3 seconds) it seems to turn my shark into a gogo-dancer, shaking like crazy. btw, maybe it depends on the stick?? i'm using a x-52...
  8. so... then... do you think it will be less realistic than Call of Duty 4? humm... and i hoped it would be at least have some level of realism like...say... pacman. exept the damagemodel of pacman, which was not very detailed. maybe your friend is interested in a old tamagochi? i should still have one around somewhere :)
  9. jesus, it gets melodramatic... i would prefer the freedom of not to have pay taxes instead of having to make a (uuh, international!) maybe-phonecall every 9 months for something i don't need, but want. by the way - it is usually no problem to change parts of your hardware like graficcard, ram and/or processor. mostly you need a new activation when you change the mainboard... or setting up a new windows. which has to be activated by phonecall after 3 installations...
  10. read the OS (windows) license - the hardware is yours, but not "the computor"... exept you use linux, but then you will have some problems with BS :)
  11. i really don't see the problems with online activation, phone activation or limited installs. almost every software is having it in a form or another. i prefer to KNOW about it in advance, not like many other products which tend do "call home" and send informations about this and that from your hard- and software... if you feel treated like a criminal because a product you buy is secured against criminals, you should maybe talk to someone or take some pills or whatever ;). no, seriously, you feel offended by all the locks on all the cars on the street? you wouldn't steal them - but maybe someone else!? so you have to deal with all the keys and stuff like that. and even worse... you have to drive your product to a officially approved mechanic to make some maintenance from time to time, otherwise you loose your guarantee. and it costs money! jesus, the world is evil! btw - for all the windows users, read the license of use (which you agreed) only ONCE. maybe you will be surpised :)
  12. hmmm... right now i'm thinking about searching for torrents and reporting them... usually i think it's the developers / publishers problem, and they should care about stuff like that by themselfes. and usually, some (especially big) publishers almost ask for it, because they sell unfinished products for "public betatesting", don't support the community and very often the product is (imho) not WORTH the full price. but in this case, i really can NOT understand how people can spread that software in unofficial ways! we ask for a hardcore-SIM, and the market for these is small. We all know, that IF we want to get some more sims in the future, the companies producing them have to EARN MONEY - noone is producing them only for fun. And then, i always see people complaining that there are no innovations out there, too many small developers had to close the gates or had to sell themselfes to the "big" ones, and they don't support risky innovations - they produce the same games, year by year, only the numbers change (and some grafics), like fifa05/06/07/08 etc. And then, the very same people complaining about these facts and telling storys why they pirate software, and why they would buy it when there only would be something worth to buy etc., start pirating a INNOVATIVE product, a HARDCORE-SIM for a small market, and a SMALL INDEPENDENT DEVELOPER A N D PUBLISHER. so, all in all, i really don't get it how stupid people can be! and it REALLY pisses me off. and i really think about doing some research and screw them...
  13. nah, they told us that the manual will be released before we can buy BS, so we can study the manual until we get our copy :) 1. manual (2. pre-order ?) 3. release! 3.1 moaning 3.2 patching :) :) but honestly, i hope there will be no 3.1, and no urgent need for 3.2 heh...
  14. it wouldn't work like the trackIR, which is a passive system. in this case, you need at least 2 dots per finger for 3DOF which are reflecting the IR beams. maybe it would be possible with a single active emitter on your fingertip and the passive sensor as a reciever on the screen... but anyways, i think for real immersion you still have to build your own cockpit with all the switches etc. i still wait for the release of the special "hat" which is "reading you mind"... if it works fine, you can access most of the switches just by thinking :)
  15. amraam, the website glowingproductions.com is already in use, just4info o_O
  16. i do some video editing by myself from time to time, and it is a real pain in the *** to optimise the output - so i would definitely say it's not worth the effort of (at least!) +100% workload only for a small piece of the eyecandy-cake...
  17. *makesnote* - cancel the pressurized canopy - cancel the electrical heating system ;)
  18. dich trifft man aber auch an jeder ecke hehe :)
  19. http://emotiv.com/corporate/2_0/2_5.htm i'm looking forward for this - just think, and it will send the key-combo :) sure, the first versions won't be able to turn some knobs, but klicking and combos shouldn't be a problem. by the way, hello all together
