  1. I already had a ticket and asked for an official confirmation of changing my order from 57PPD to 50PPD. They then send me an email confirmation and I now also see the correct (changed) order in my profile on the website. Never been a Pimax customer so far, but their support was on time and helpful. Now I am wainting for the first reviews of the Pimax Super next year and than I am happy to wait for the 50PPD...
  2. Tested DCS yesterday and it looks brilliant. SC deck crew also make so much fun. Thank you ED for the good work. However, I noticed yesterday two tings: During an F18 campaign in Syria, the mission started at sunrise. I was surprised to see a bright spot in front of the mountains in the east. It turned out to be the reflection of the sun in the fog, which should have been blocked by the mountain because the sun was still below the mountain range (but its image was visible in the fog in front of the mountains). Unfortunately, I didn't make a track for this, but I would like to mention it here anyway. Furthermore, the F5 nearest AC button no longer works for me. Has something been changed in the basic settings?
  3. Did you cancel the order and placed a new order? Pimax „manually“ changed my order and I will not see it on the website. I do not trust this process fully.
  4. The 50PPD ist now available, shipment estimated for March 24 (instead of Jan 24 for 57 PPD). I have just asked the customer service to change my order from 57PPD (120 HFOV) to 50PPD (135 HFOV) - even though extra 57PPD unit would "only" be 399 $. That was no problem at all for Pimax. I can´t think of a use case having to panels, as I am always looking for a wider FOV. That´s why I am willing to wait a bit longer until Spring 24.
  5. Same here, so I start saving for the 50PPD as the RTX5090
  6. Let´s wait and see. They advertise, that we don´t run into perfomance problems, since we can omit Anti Aliasing and take advantage of Dynamic Foveated Rendering. I have a powerful PC, if that is not enough, Pimax runs into deep problems.
  7. Just ordered!
  8. There's a good old joke in Germany on the subject: ‘What's the quickest way to get a Starfighter? Buy a field and wait’ When I look at the ratio of 292 out of 916, it's still better than the outcome of my flights in DCS.
  9. Amazing news! Looking forward to the next update. Thanks for sharing.
  10. I agree with you unreservedly. I have also invested a lot of money in DCS, not only because it is a great simulation, but because I see it as support for the ED team and want to support the further development of the company and the game. However, we are now reaching a point where more maps will give us more options, but at the same time open up more construction sites. I know the mantra that they are all different teams and I want to believe that. But for me, I'm no longer prepared to invest money in unfinished products that take a long time to complete. I'd rather do without the 30% discount and just buy the module or map in 2-3 years when it's ready. However, if ED's business plan is aimed at generating revenue with new early access releases, they should consider whether this plan is still the right one for the future in view of all the feedback here. I realise that ED needs revenue, but in the end we also want to have finished products in a measurable time. Perhaps this can be reconciled somehow?
  11. Thank you, every update is welcome! Even though the community - like me - was certainly full of hope for further improvements, I'm glad that you've sorted out some campaign bugs.
  12. Know issue for Retribution / Persistant / DCC. Simple solution: Open Mission in Mission Editor, simply click save mission, leave Mission Edtior, run mission and aircraft is available
  13. Digital Crew Chief (DCC) is also an alternativ: https://github.com/Kilcekru/dcc Even though, it is very limited in available theatres, it is very performance friendly.
  14. The management of the software itself is not that bad. Both the platform and the Seatbelt Tensioner run on the same software, which is completely plug & play. Apart from that, I only need Winwing, Thrustmaster and Brunner as software for the joysticks and panels. The cable clutter is the bigger problem. I pulled the platform out of the corner for the video, so it's a relative mess. Once it's back in the corner, the cables will be a bit better organized. But the number of USB input devices is quite frightening
  15. Dear FlightSim enthusiasts! A few years ago, I shared my 6DOF motion platform with the community here, and I’m excited to say that after countless hours of work and fine-tuning, I’ve finally completed what I consider to be the ultimate hardcore flight simulation setup. My rig now includes a wide array of equipment, from various joysticks/collectives and Winwing instrument panels to a Brunner FFB base and a Buttkicker for added tactile feedback. The latest addition to my setup is the brand-new Qubic System Seatbelt Tensioner QS-BT1. I was skeptical at first about how much difference a seatbelt tensioner could make, but I have to say, the impact on immersion is nothing short of amazing. It adds an entirely new layer of realism, making every maneuver feel even more authentic. The combination of motion, force feedback, and now the seatbelt tensioner truly makes it feel like I’m in the cockpit of a real aircraft. If you’re interested in seeing the setup in action, I’ve put together a video where I walk through the entire cockpit and demonstrate its capabilities.
  16. OMG, now I have to play the game without the patch. And you know what? It's still a lot of fun! I won't let delays spoil my mood.
  17. Thank you. Nothing more to add.
  18. Yes, that's certainly a solution to avoid any disgruntled comments. However, given the number of users, I still believe that the chronic complainers make up a maximum of 1% and that the remaining 99% are happy to be informed that something is in the pipeline and can also deal with the fact that deadlines are being postponed. For my part, I am happy to receive any information from ED and am sufficiently understanding that they can change plans at any time. It's just a game. I think - especially in today's world - there are more important things to pay attention to than the postponement of a release date for a patch.
  19. I understand the frustration of the community, I would have been happy about a patch today too. The fact that the anticipation or disappointment is so great at least shows that DCS is still a very popular simulation. On the other hand, we have to ask ourselves - as with every delay - whether it was the right decision. What would be the point of releasing the game today (or last week) if it ended up containing bugs that would spoil the fun for everyone? The forum would be full of justified criticism that ED delivers unfinished updates. Yes, if you announce a date, you should deliver on time. But it doesn't always work out that way. The only option left for ED is to announce nothing at all and surprise us with patches. At least then nobody will be disappointed. Anyone who complains here should think about that before hitting send.
  20. Guys - I simply love your support! That tool immediately solved my issue and NS is running just perfect, Since I use a motion platform and the new Qubic seat belt tensioner is waiting to arrive, I just added a seat belt to my seat and I have to admit, that turning my head is now even more restricted. So NS is a perfect solution! Thank you all for your help!
  21. I downloaded XR Neck Safer yesterday and now I don't know if everything is working properly - I'm a little doubtful at the moment. I was able to set up the software and also calibrate / centre the headset. However, if I then want to enlarge my view to the rear, the same thing always happens - regardless of the method (smooth, gradual ...). For example, if I look to the rear right (e.g. 100°) and tell the software to extend my view by 40° (to 140°), my VR view turns to the rear by 140°, but a black screen appears on both eyes on the left. It's as if the view is rotating to 140°, but my headset is at 100° and I can only see the 140° view on the right edge of my field of view and a black screen on the left (as a delta between 100° and 140°). If I extend it to 180°, my vision is nearly completly black. That can't be intentional, can it? Does anyone know the problem? I have not yet copied in any api/dll, as described in some forums. Could that be the problem? Of course I am running DCS in OpenXR and not SteamVR.
  22. Hey Dangerzone! This is a great topic and finally someone is writing about the problem that many people probably have. There are so many wonderful modules and yes, I too am tempted to buy most of them. This also leads to the fact that I have modules that I am relatively familiar with, some that I have tried out and others that are covered in a thick layer of dust. Balancing my job and family, I manage to play DCS two evenings a week, so this limit is an additional challenge. In the end, I take a module and fly it for a few weeks until I feel like playing another one. With some modules, it's easy for me to switch because I've familiarised myself with the aircraft (A10II, F18, AH64, F86, BF109, Huey). But to be honest, I can't remember more than these 6. As a result, switching to an F16 or KA50 always takes time to refresh my knowledge. I'm currently learning the F4, just as I learnt the F15E. But the latter has been completely forgotten again because there is no content to play (too few missions / campaigns). The F4 brings a lot of this with it, so I'm trying to add it to my shortlist of permanent aircraft. My problem is that three other favourite aircraft are coming sooner or later - the A6, Tornado and Eurofighter. I have no idea how I'm going to manage that. I also have the F14, MI8, Hind, MiG15 and MiG21 slumbering in the basement of the modules I've bought and hardly ever flown. I'm really hoping to retire, but that will take a few more years, then I'll have more time and will probably be able to memorise less. I guess I'll have to resign myself to my role as DCS-Patreon and lousy inventory manager.
  23. Got it solved - thank to the great ED support! It was a bug created by my Arduino Controller (for FFB Joystick). Simply unplugging it from USB and reconnecting it let DCS start again. First time for me (in years) using ED/DCS support and I must admit they are extremly fast and helpful. Great service!
  24. Hey, after years of flying DCS I am stuck for the first time without having any ideas left. After DCS update I wanted to launch DCS for downloading the newly purchased KOLA-map. But DCS does not start anymore. What I did: Run complete repair Reinstalled Nvidia drivers Did Windows scan for any corrupt drivers Did windows update Renamed DCS folder in Saved games to "temp" No matter what I do, the log keeps posting the same issues, all linked to ERROR_ONCE DX11BACKEND Any ideas? dcs.log
