  1. Very cool mission. Only difficulty I had was my wingman ramming into me while during taxi to runway 26 for takeoff. I stopped at the end of the runway to prepare for takeoff and he ended up rear ending me and totalling his plane. Other than that, maybe add the waypoint number in brackets to the text for the radio dialog like North 1 (waypoint 4). Really cool though! Thanks for putting in all that hard work.
  2. If the totally free TF51 weren't in the game, I might agree with you. If people want to buy it for acrobatics, fine we've got our novelty module now go knock yourselves out. What I don't want to see is anymore simple GA modules that don't fit with the rest of DCS be developed just because they're easier to make.

    MFD Setup

Look for the key bindings to export Left and Right MFD... you need to press it at the start of every flight. I've got the MFDs exported to 2 small LCDs, works fine.
  4. I think the weeklong hype train was a poor choice, especially with what the module turned out to be. Good luck with the CE2.
  5. I think they'd have been better off just finishing the Corsair and tuning the FM as needed. The lack of Mig21 attention and the week of teasing leading to this controversial module is just a bit too much. To be honest though, this thread has over 40,000 views in a week. I'll bet there are enough people out there who will spend $30 for this. They might regret it a couple days later, but they'll shell out.
  6. It's no joke. ED would not let their logo be plastered all over videos and marketing material for a "joke module".
  7. I've actually found that all my AAR practice in the Harrier has helped me tremendously in the hog. Even though it's a probe/drogue, the Harrier refueling probe is out of sight off to the left of the pilot, so it really makes you focus on the visual cues of the tanker itself. It seems so much easier now to refuel the hog because you can see the boom in your peripheral vision while keeping your eyes locked on the tanker.
  8. All hints in this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3316691&postcount=328
  9. And they all fit like this yeah?
  10. It's this. All the clues add up. Christen Eagle II. reddit thread, credit terrificfool & rainbow dash: Hint 0: It has fasteners Hint 1: The Eagle is a bird. some might call it a super bird. There was also a Super Eagle variant Hint 2: I don't think anyone knows what that checkered image is (could it be a wing strut?) Hint 3: The cube is for sport aerobatics which is flown in a 1 km3 cube Hint 4: This is an aerobatics diagram to clarify hint 3 Hint 5: The Christen Eagle II is from the 1970's Hint 6: Rivets match up just right (accounting for curvature, of course).

  12. That specific Aresti diagram is this... which is for model airplanes? So confusing.

    Sidearm

Same with the ZSU23 although that makes more sense as it is a shorter ranged AA system.
  14. Yes it's pretty slow - Will take a few minutes to drain.
  15. From Reddit: (credit zZChicagoZz) Batajnica Airodrom, Serbia. Might really be Super Galeb.
  16. Does it mount 4x 20mm Cannons, have a variable incidence wing, and was involved in an extremely hazardous photo recon mission during the Cuban Missile Crisis?
  17. A P38 would go great over Normandy to mingle with the plane that replaced it in the theatre it had to be withdrawn from. Would make perfect sense for DCS!
  18. These hints are trash.
  19. I've found landing on the Tarawa to be pretty easy if you don't bother with coming to a complete hover and having no regard for how it's actually supposed to be done. Just take her down slow and steady to the deck. Nozzles to 84 degrees at 1-2 miles out. Flaps down, gear down, H20 to landing. You can maintain 5-10 degrees nose down to keep the deck in sight without adding much speed. When you get close, nozzles to full aft to slow down, then nose up to witch hat on horizon, nozzles to 84, and lower yourself to the deck. Be sure to slam the throttle to zero before you hit the deck, otherwise you'll bounce.
  20. That is awesome. Will give it a go tonight! Thanks very much for putting that together.
  21. Super Sabre and Mig21F.

  23. I see why none of the preview videos were done in the 1.5 branch... Anyway, all other aircraft work great but in cockpit view from the harrier is very poor for FPS. Down below 30 frames with plenty of chop. Everything is smooth from external views so it's something in the pit. Tried turning off the MFDs to see if it would help, but no joy.
