Well that's debatable. Some would say it was the only way to get Japan to surrender and if those 2 cities werent bombed they would have fought till All Japanese were killed or captured. Therefor inflicting still many more casualties on the allies as well.

I allways thought the biggest mistake in Aviation history was either Japan bombing Pearl Harbour or Hitler Bombing London.

The graphics.cfg is most likely the problem. Just try to match the text as best as possible to this Modman cant edit files only add them. the CDDS files are new and support high res the default Cdds files do not.

That wasnt Default, I zoomed it out manually b4 taking the screenshot. Im overclocking my 2.66 to 3.08 at the moment. (thats just the CPU) Later when DDR800 RAM drops in price I'll pick some up. but right now I'm happy with the performance I'm getting.

Well I went and splurged a couple of weeks ago and bought a new Computer. Took a break from Lock On and finally got it running again yesterday. Most of us mortals decided mirrors are just too resource hungry to run. Well not any more. Check out this screen shot with the FRAPS counter in the top left. Updated Feb 2007 New version of Engine Cowlings on all 3 skins.

It might not be designed as a flight sim but I still enjoy cleaning the map up in the AV8B (Harrier) using the GBU's as dumb bombs. The Choppper flight model is ok but no better than OFP. I hear they are going to try and improve both in future versions. The Multiplayer code is 1000 times better than ofp. Thank goodness.

There are two reasons why LockOn is a small online Community. Egos and Laziness. Most who fly LockOn have inflated egos about their ability and expect like any other online game after a couple of nights of flying they should be getting as many kills as everyone else. When they find that's not the case and they might have to Study or train or be part of a team and follow orders to succeed. they go back to the quake style games they've allways played. Its a shame but Complicated Combat simulators like this will allways have a small online community. Dedicated Servers, links to HyperLobby or any other ideas will never change that.
