  1. To me, everything is looking spectacular. I'm getting ridiculous frames on NTTR (surely due to lack of structures haha), really good frames on Caucuses, and I forgot to check Normandy. I fly in VR with fairly high settings, and I really would be hard pressed to complain right now.
  2. I have experienced a similar issue in the past. Aircraft would pull one way, then I'd correct with rudder, and it would just get exaggerated the longer it happened. I looked like I was taking off under the influence. Turned out my brakes were dragging due to pedal calibration. I was not experiencing a roll tendency after rotation though.
  3. For real, I've been feeling this way, but that was definitely put the right way. I had some issues early on, but I am 99.9% sure it was the system I was running. Now...oh my. If I could add some "feel"; G forces, etc., I would almost not know I wasn't really doing it.
  4. Well, the rx470 was running DCS in VR fairly acceptably, at least in single player. I don't recall my settings off the top of my head, but it normally remained around 45fps, obvious occasional dips when over Vegas or similar. I was running it with DS on. This video was on the 470 in Rift, though it uploaded at a low resolution, that's not what it looked like in game. I did record it using the win+g method, it uploaded in 380p I believe.
  5. Resolution day to day is 1920x1080, for DCS it's whatever Rift defaults to. 2400 because that's how this system arrived. I can't overclock, this mb doesn't support it. DCS is currently on a regular old hdd.
  6. I've been a long time fan of AMD stuff, and I'd bet the last time I bought Intel or Nvidia was in the 1990s. I guess it was familiarity, I don't know. But, I'm currently running a recently resuscitated system; I'm not 100% sure what happened, but it required multiple windows resets to even get close to running right again. It's pretty much my sig, minus 8gb of ram. I'm looking at an i7 8700k, 1080ti setup. UserBenchmark vs what I'm currently running has the i7 setup beating out this one by over 50% all the way around; 132%, 135% and 125% vs 53%, 53% and 44%. That said, I know that's "on paper". Will this reflect in the "real world"?

  8. I keep seeing a lot of info about F/A-18A thru D running all these different engines, yet when I was with VFC-12, all of our (A, C and D) Hornets ran F404-400s.

  10. I am experiencing a crash since I had to reset my pc that I never had before. This process entailed a 2.5 reinstall, including the downloads. I can load Nevada with no problems, but I went to create a mission in the Caucasus map and it popped up a window regarding metashaders. It presents a "Retry" or "Cancel". Retry doesn't do anything, it maintains the error, and Cancel crashes DCS.   11. It took another windows reset, followed by zero driver installs, and adding some runtimes provided to me by some oculus users. I'm good to go now, and like I said, it wasn't a DCS problem, it was an Oculus problem.
  12. This is definitely not a DCS issue, it's an Oculus issue. If anyone has suggestions, however, I am all ears. It launches fine with the Oculus stuff turned off.
  13. It opens to the main screen, starts playing the music, but does exactly nothing. That said, I've been having serious Rift issues, and only just today was able to even get into the Oculus Home. I'm not sure if I have an Oculus problem or a DCS problem. Log not attached, telling me "invalid file".   14. Seems to be a unique situation. I've removed everything and anything oculus related, gone back and forth with oculus tech support with attempted fixes to the point it seems they've given up, and I'm no further along than when I started. This is very frustrating, and I do not see a solution in sight. Thanks for the reply though.
  15. I had an unfortunate issue occur and it required a windows reset. I'm running win10. I've been running Oculus for quite awhile, and following the reset I made sure everything was updated (windows, other drivers, etc) and I went to install oculus. It goes through the download process, and a good bit of installation before it tells me to restart my pc and try again. Any ideas?
  16. I had to do a windows reset, and I've reinstalled everything. Now, I cannot get DCS to work, period. I was in the process of adding my activation keys and got a "DCS crash" notification. I ran a cleanup and a repair, and same result. dcs.log-20180209-135007.zip

  19. I am experiencing this as well, however, I am not seeing any logs created in the users/saved games area.
  20. Not the best pic, but it was taken with a 35mm camera quite some time ago, and this is a digital pic of that pic. This was the airframe that put all of our aircraft "off the ground" that day haha.
  21. I too am topping out memory usage around 3.5g, and my system is not a powerplant by any means. 24gb ram, rx 470 and ryzen5
  22. I had to go to display settings, scale and layout, and change the size of text, apps, etc to under 150%
  23. That's an interesting statement, but it is lost on me as I am not on any other forums. I can not in good conscience rely on a television series to obtain information, so I will continue to rely on official reports and documentation.
