  1. I have this also in VR where it appears there is lighting in one eye and not the other. I also noticed that even during daylight flying, if I turn the instrument lighting on, I am getting a flickering effect inside the cockpit. I can't recall right this moment if it's console or instrument lights doing it, but it does do it, and it's rather uncomfortable.
  2. This is accurate. I observed it routinely from the flight line, fuel pits and hot pad.
  3. VF-31 used to go full burner all the time out of Oceana in the late 1990s in their -Ds. VF-101 also went full burn routinely in the same time period, they flew A+ and B birds. I can't think of many that didn't really. Safety standowns occur, but once they clear issues, they go back to routine ops.
  4. I finally had a chance to get some seat time. I love it. One thing I noticed is that the throttle in the cockpit doesn't move which makes it a little quirky to get started, but I can't complain. It's beautiful. And naturally, I had to go toe to toe with Maverick... (If you refuse Top Gun references, you shouldn't be simming!)
  5. Waited for what seemed like forever for this A-4. Then the day finally came, and the A-4 was here. And, I don't know, it's beautiful. I haven't had much chance to fly it, but I did take it for a quick spin, though mostly just looked at it on the pad. Love it.
  6. I may be off topic, as I didn't read everything here, but I just had the chance to check it out for a short test flight, and, I love it as is, how is, where is. My disclaimer is this was a non-combat, daylight free flight.
  7. G-force is meaningless when one is using anti-gravity technology. Everyone knows this.
  8. What kind of setup are you using for brakes and/or rudders?
  9. Double check that your wheel brakes aren't on, and that you have the finger lifts popped up to get some burner.
  10. I didn't personally do any kind of professional testing, but I did just fly the thing. Did not quite maintain it's advertised 56,000 fpm climb rate (references I've found commonly available), though it did come pretty close to the advertised service ceiling, or exceeded it slightly depending on the information source. Mach 1.02/230k ias, 54,940ft. Certainly didn't seem like a ufo to me.
  11. The tease! Still definitely looking forward to it. You guys have done amazing work.
  12. Just played with this for a very limited time this morning. All I can say is, you should try it. Well done.
  13. I certainly didn't care for it at first, but it grew on me. I'd be happy if we could have that back, or something that made the NVG FOV smaller within VR.
  14. FWIW, I copied the LUA files out of the backed up (previously copied and planted on the desktop) controls and pasted them inside the proper folders within DCS and that solved the issue for me. No more frustration.
  15. Again, rebinding, and growing extensively frustrated at it. I'm unable to remember what certain commands were called, so it's caused me to not fly for the day.
  16. It's a bargain. You can overstress the airframe, wreck, get shot down, trap on the boat, launch, do all the stuff an F-14 can do and it only cost 70 bucks. Alternatively, you could go drop 30k on a 1968 Cessna and deal with hangar fees, maintenance, certifications etc. And you only get to wreck that once.
  17. I still can't get over the dedication. It's been a bumpy road and you guys are just pushing on and this is shaping up beautifully. Thanks for your dedication to this project; I'm very much looking forward to this.
  18. Definitely a mod with some staying power, as I'm still flying it. Referencing the posts regarding landing explosions, I have not experienced this and she seems to still come in just fine. Very enjoyable.
  19. In all the years I've been simming...or gaming otherwise for that matter, I've never before seen updates every two weeks. Sure, there are bound to be moments of disappointment, however, the fact that ED keeps working on this stuff is amazing. We could be like other sims of the past, and wait months upon months for a fix then when the elephant in the room is still the elephant in the room after the update...wait more months.
  20. SA-2 worked for me, though I did add the P19 (?) radar truck to the group.
  21. There's definitely a lot in this update. 01471.335 INFO : Installed 795 files. Hornet Radar seems to be working as before.
