Please look into fixing the ATC on the NTTR map (and the caucasus map). At least for the poor guy that had to model all those useless taxiway signs :music_whistling: I know this is a known issue, but my opinion is that ED should fix at least the taxi, take-off and landing confirmations in an order that you won't get three denials and one OK within 30 secs Further it would be useful if ATC tells you which runway 21 (Nellis) you should land on, left or right. The best thing would be a proper guidance all over the taxiways in a way it was done in Microsofts () FS9/FSX Since the SOH map will come up next year (or so), it would be a bummer to add several new huge airports without the proper simulation of traffic on taxiways

I agree, improving the Mission Generator in general would be great as well

Since I'm using the mission generator a lot, it came to my mind that a selection box would be really helpful if you're trying to shift multiple units to another place. Have a look at the attached screenshot: the mission generator places the units way too far from each other, so the JTAC won't be able to designate targets neither is any unit attacking the other coalition. The laziest way to solve this, is to move all the units closer to each other. :smartass: If you would be able to deselect some units again by using the CTRL-key, as you are already used to do in other software, the funciton would be even better :smilewink: I think this tiny function would be great for mission builders and would make it a lot easier to place units.

Thanks a lot for this! Great to have a little view "inside" ED. I'm totally one of the guys that are annoyed by the WWII stuff that was coming out during the recent years, I have been waiting on NTTR since the release of the "Alpha-Alpha" version of it in 2009 when the DCS A-10C came out as a beta (NTTR alpha then disappeared for a few years as some people may know) I have been waiting for the F/A-18C Hornet since at least 2012 and didn't care much for anything else that was released since 2009 (with a great surprise by Belsimtek last summer, the F-5E) Again: thanks a lot for this open statement, I think a lot of people will appreciate it as much as I do  I have experienced other small software companies struggling with new graphic engines, so I think I know what this really means (namely a CAD software), I'm really glad you kept going this way

Exactly I really hope the Mission generator will get some attention after 2.5 is out, currently it's not always creating proper singleplayer missions to use JTAC, but that would fill another thread...
-
My question was more like: will the whole JTAC thing work as we already know it or arethere differences?
-
Will we be able to work with JTACs the same way like in the A-10C? Is it possible to receive data from JTACs over the Link 16 network in the Hornet?

Swiss Hornets were partly built in Switzerland (two of 34 were delivered directly) They all have titanium reinforced wings and structure Unfortunately I can't give you a source for this, I've been searching it for quite a while now  There was an article about the stress tests they conducted during a mayor overhaul, to see if the components perform as expected EDIT: not what I meant but as I see some stuff for all the Hornets are made in Switzerland: aileron-trailing-edge-flaps-shrouds

Maybe some of you should start another pointless east vs. west discussion thread instead of spamming this very informative one... :poster_offtopic:

Where was the other incident?

Hab ich mir auch schon so gedacht. Sobald das 3. Video kommt, denke ich, wird es sich nur noch um wenige Wochen handeln bis wir die Beta kriegen. Fürs Start-up braucht man ja so ziemlich alle Systeme. Da ich davon ausgehe, dass das Flightmodel und Radar die aufwendigsten Teile sind und damit begonnen wurde...

Hi, they are still there you just have to open his album on the site (and avoid the million ads opening ) album link

I just got mine a few days ago, I ordered it at conrad a german/swiss electronics supplier. My TrackIR 4 stopped working after 11 years, so it was almost brand new when it gave up :D Paid roughly 180€ for the 5 version, it was the cheapest reseller for Switzerland Edit: The box had an aerosoft sticker on it, so aerosoft.com may be the original reseller

Maybe something like this? Ah the links are broken :glare: This is the new link: https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/search/site/sr-71 hmm: U-2 Flight Handbook Time flies when searching this database :) EDIT: I managed to fix the above link: The U-2 and OXCART programs 390 pages (!)

If this really is the case, it will be a lot of fun to try it out. Must be really scary in a bad weather/night scenario in real life

Thank you, I can't rep your post. :noexpression: Really interesting to see some one of the creators of this world

Danke :smilewink: They always handle the Hornet cokpit as top secret, if you're serving or working on the base, you can do whatever you want... I always wonder why the radio wasn't replaced over the years
