  1. There is an airshow in southern Switzerland from September 15 to 17th in Sion. Featuring: Swiss F/A-18C Hornet Rafale Eurofighter Mirage 2000 Mirage III (!) Hawker Hunter Belgian F-16 Saab Gripen Patrouille Suisse (6x F-5) Breilting Jet Team (7x L-39) Frecce Tricolori (8x MB-339) https://breitlingsionairshow.com/ and here's a video I've shot there last time:
  2. Don't miss: -the central museum of the russian armed forces (Dostoyevskaya metro station) -Kolomenskoye park (Kashirskaya metro station) -Vdnch is an impressive park (vdnch metro) -Moscow city is also quite impressive to see (Mezhdunarodnaya metro) Enjoy your trip!
  3. Don't know how to how to embed this... https://www.instagram.com/p/BVSgYvIFSmy/
  4. I don't think so, this bug is really old and I think it will be fixed with EDGE and the new clouds in 2.5
  5. Very impressive! Seems you have a better imagination than me, if I had to build something without drawing every detail in advance I'd be lost
  6. She is... a good singer and guitar player, love this one the original version and the cover
  7. I've visited the local airbase this week, there's a lot going on during the World Economic Forum in Davos:
  8. Thanks lads! That was quite a show, awesome! Looks great so far, keep them jets coming
  9. Hi, I'm really enjoying the F-5E. Awesome product! There are two things I noticed: the first one is a light cone that travels with you no matter how you set external or interior lights (see screenshots attached). They also seem to light up the ceiling inside the shelters at Creech AFB (e.g. parking spots C01-04) but only during F2 view. It is there without anything running (cold and dark) As mentioned elsewhere the Landing/taxi light is a bit weak it seems. The second thing I noticed: whenever I switch the oxygen supply to the OFF position the diluter switch jumps to 100%, it is also set to 100% when on ramp start (cold and dark) I think it should be on "normal" by default.
  10. To me: yes, I've just downloaded the newest BIOS last week. Didn't try the USB drivers for quite a while now.
  11. It has already been translated from russian, so I can't get some of it...
  12. A swiss air force F/A-18C Hornet went missing at 16.30 local time. No further information on this until now (as usual ) https://www.admin.ch/gov/de/start/dokumentation/medienmitteilungen.msg-id-63551.html
  13. +1 Thanks for this module guys, great work! Even though it's been announced as "Early access" and "WIP" in the main screen, I couldn't tell a thing which would remind me that it is WIP. To me it seems to be 99% finished and perfect! Training lessons, great manual, clean module without obvious bugs, everything is there Brilliant work you've done here, thanks Belsimtek!
  14. A few weeks ago I've visited Wales, a great place to visit with lots of things to see:
  15. The cockpit shows a Swiss Air Force number "J-3085" and they do lack ILS equipment but they all use the huge analog radio equipment and not the digital as in the sim. I guess ED got their hands on a F-5 which was sold to the US for use in one of the agressor squadrons, kinda funny that they buy their own fighters back again after so many years. Just checked: I was thinking that the 3085 should be a patrouille suisse tiger, it is indeed: http://m.airliners.net/photo/detail/id/2805485
  16. One of them landed safely the other pilot was able to eject and only suffered from minor injuries, because he landed in/on a green house. They were very lucky

    DCS: F-5E!

I think it's not just the squirrel, it's our air force too or please tell me a good reason on why every F-5 flight during bad weather was cancelled back when I served my duty?

    DCS: F-5E!

One of the devs stated it doesn't have one and I wrote that I could well imagine. :book:

    Are you Swiss?

    DCS: F-5E!

Swiss F-5Es are definately NOT all weather fighters. Remember that it was projected to be a "low-cost " fighter for US allies, so I could imagine very well that it doesn't have an autopilot.
  21. Something old for once, but I really enjoyed this. Incredible to see how complex the engine management is.
  22. For your information: I used both Win 7 and 10 (x64) and had the same issues. Fidldling around with EHCI and XHCI handoff settings brings some improvements, but nevertheless sometimes you need up to 5 attempts to get the system running. Mine keeps hanging either just after POST or during booting (Windows logo showing)
  23. I have my 3rd X99 chipset motherboard now and this chipset just has massive USB problems. First I had a Gigabyte GA-X99 Gaming 7 WIFI (two of them) and now I have an ASUS X99-WS/IPMI. The issues stay the same: -boot loop when using certain USB devices (I have an internal card reader) -system instability -being unable to handle USB 3.0 (depends on BIOS settings) -absolutely no solution to come around (it all started in mid-2014) I built my first system with the X99 chipset in December 2014, none of the BIOS firmwares fixed the issues, since one week I have the ASUS board (latest firmware) same problem. You will find all sorts of threads around the Internet, describing things like "boot loop", "USB problems" etc. TL;DR If you are planning to build a new system DON'T get a X99 motherboard, it has various issues with USB devices.
  24. This looks so great, I really hope it won't be long
