Do you think ED has a licence from Boeing for the F/A-18 ? The point i am trying to make is that the F-14 will be a sealclubber or nerfed. How many times do you want to get farmed online before you get this ? Mig-31 has the speed to mitigate the AIM-54 range. This means that against it, the F-14 has to turn and leave its missiles unguided. It is the only SIMULATOR nerf you can put on the AIM-54/F-14 combo.

So, i understand that you are a gamer, and you look at it from that perspective. However, ED claims to be a flight simulator. This means that if they bring a F14/FA-18 module to market, the simulator remains flawed, as the contemporary adversaries of these aircraft are not offered. They can of course nerf the AIM-54. But if they do, they can strike the word SIMULATOR from their offer. In a simulator, you can develop tactics by using the advantages of you aircraft against the aircraft that were developed to counter them.

The only logical solution to this problem is for ED to move the company abroad. They can never be the "go to" flight sim if they leave a hole in russian aircraft design from 1970 onwards.

I am thinking of buying the volair Simpit. Anyone have advice about what length to choose ? They also have the option to buy a curved extension, has anyone tried this ?

So, for the reasons you mention i will never own a rift (had the DK2) What i am now waiting for is DCS 2.5 F/A-18c and a next gen VR set to merge for me sometime this year. Was also waiting for Star Citizen, however as it stands now it will not support VR. Do you see any hope for the coming VR headsets hyped by Windows, Wormeaten ?

Exactly this is it. Rift/Vive are complete products, but they don't have the resolution i want. Fine when you look inside the cockpit, but trying to spot something in the distance is like being near-sighted. Pimax has better resolution, but it's still not a complete product. Software is still poor/non existent and not supported. For now i have no option but to sit on my money and wait for the right product. That is why i am keenly interested in feedback from those of you that have a Pimax.

Being that this is the first VR device that has the resolution i look for, has ED given any indication that they will develop this for DCS ? With the add-on tracking it can be my threshold system. And how is the current experience in DCS ?

Think you are wrong on the F18. BST has been brought inn to do the development. The F18 is being worked on as we speak. They have from what i gather, some systems to implement, then there is testing. My guess Q3, Q4.

What i find interesting with the 2 seater development is the possibility to make a strike aircraft like Su-24/f-111. Totally new type of gameplay and experience. Got the mig-21, will get the f-18. But if i buy something after that it will have to be a new type of aircraft. Will also get the mk.14 spit if it comes.

I mean, the thing has : 4 20mm machine cannons Torpedoes Rockets Bombs And it is one of the most unique aircraft ever made, with contra rotating props, turbine engine and it is carrier based ! So, can the 2 other people in the world that find it utterly beautiful, chime in and let the developers know that we want this beauty in the game.
