Is there a way to use AWLS with the US (Tarawa) or UK (HMS Invincible) carriers in game? Sent from my FP4 using Tapatalk

+1 for British Harrier GR7/9! I would happily settle for purely visual model with the extra weapon rails Sent from my FP4 using Tapatalk

fixed M05 confusion
MagicSlave replied to Sharkku's topic in F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign
I am confused. Should I see contacts on datalink in this mission? For me the datalink shows nothing. D/L is switched on (AIC). -

Marianas Special Use Airspaces Template
MagicSlave replied to MagicSlave's topic in Missions and Campaigns
On the contrary, I think that they are military training areas and their airspace is controlled by the Andersen ATC (see the document that Northstar98 linked, that is the source I used). The primary bombing range of Andersen, R-7201 (Farallon De Medinilla (FDM)) for example, is located in the southern portion of ATCAA 3A. -
I just uploaded a map drawing template containing published ATC Assigned Airspaces around the Marianas Islands from real world documents. I've used this in my own missions and thought that it could be useful for somebody else also. I use it together with Nealius' real world tanker tracks template I just wish you could save the drawings as a template... The only way I have found to add these to an existing mission is to manually copy and paste the nav points and drawings lines from the .miz file using Notepad++ which is a bit cumbersome Edit: oops, the user files upload is still pending approval... Attached the miz file here in the meantime... Marianas Special Use Airspaces.miz

Help, CVN-74 John C Stennis supercarrier disappeared
MagicSlave replied to MagicSlave's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for the answers, my mistake. I must have taken a too long break from carrier ops... -
Am I going crazy? I place the CVN-74 John C Stennis in mission editor and get the old stennis, small and without deck crew. The other Supercarriers work fine. I'm double, triple and quadruple checking in mission editor, I only have one CVN-74. I have also removed all mods, run the repair, uninstalled and re-installed the Supercarrier module, to no avail What could be wrong? Attached is a mission with CVN-74 and CVN-73. When I run the mission, the 73 has deck crew and the 74 doesn't and it is also too small (i.e. it apparently is the old non-supercarrier Stennis). Stennis Bug.miz

DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis
MagicSlave replied to Eight Ball's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Never thought that I would enjoy flying a cargo plane in DCS. But I'm really liking low level flight, cargo drops and combat landings! -
It seems that the "advanced comms" have worked with Tarawa & Harrier at some point, see this video for example: But it seems that no more... See and Hope it gets fixed soon.. AWLS/ICLS for the Tarawa would also be a nice feature, since the NAVAIR 00-80T-106 (pg. 5-11) references it... Well, I'll just practice CASE III TACAN approaches until that.
-
Practicing CASE I departures and recoveries on LHA Tarawa... Are the "supercarrier" style comms supposed to work with Tarawa? When I report "Inbound" to Tarawa ATC I only get the old basic response. I own and have installed the supercarrier module, if that makes a difference..

I have owned the Harrier since it first came out, and flew it quite a bit back then. I hadn't touched it for like 3 years, but now during summer vacation I suddenly got the urge to try it again. And I have been having quite much fun! The module has progressed much with many added features. I especially have to mention the training missions, which are in my opinion the best ones for any module I have flown! Big thanks to RAZBAM and Baltic Dragon for these, they have made re-learning the Harrier so much easier! I guess I wanted to express my gratitude for the module. It has been a long process and I understand that it still is not complete, but going through the training missions I realized how incredibly complex aircraft the Harrier is (on par with the ED's Hornet), and it is no small feat to develop such a module! So thank you for the hard work and keep up the good effort, RAZBAM! A couple of videos of my practice sessions: P.S. I would especially like to see AI Harrier's capable of landing to FARPs P.P.S. And of course a RAF Harrier Gr variant! (Just cosmetics and outrigger pylons for the AV-8B variant would do...)

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that! I guess I'll have to put some serious practice in before trying this campaign again. Trapping feels whole lot different game now...

Yeah, that's the one I just now managed to refuel with gamma at 2.9. Feels good, man. Just to get a ramp strike because last time I flew the Tomcat, there was no burble... This makes one humble, that's for sure. Anyone have any tips for the correct technique for anticipating the burble? Just DLC or power or both?
