  1. IIRC1, there has been a "training pod" in real life for the ARAK rockets, which had a switch on the pod to choose for firing only one rocket per trigger press, or fire the salvo (all). IIRC², HB implemented this function in a sense to use that function from the cockpit, and solved this via the ENKEL mode, in order to give at least the pilot the option (which was much more elegant than just selecting this via a kneeboard or something else). IIRC³, The computer calculates for the center point of the salvo, thus firing a single rocket might miss the target always (too long or too short, I dont know for sure) @MYSE1234 @Cobra847 please correct my 3 statements above if you know more on that old story.
  2. I think it is worth mentioning it in the manual update after the next, which was already finished and locked; therefore I set a reminder for the next revision.
  3. The line not beeing visible or blinking is a current bug, which Myse is aware of, and I think for the upcoming patch he already solved that issue. Can you remove the above info about the line not showing from your post please, just to keep the necessary info there and throw away the uneccesary one...
  4. I was able to exaclty replicate this situation, where the HUD + ADI leads me to the wrong point of the circle:
  5. I am currently in the process of finding out if the distance to the runway has an influence on that, and if the TILS does something to that, because initially, the TILS is blinking, despite I had turned it to another channel (in this case to 01, and not to A - which would be 12 for Kholki) which would mean it uses the localizer for horizontal guidance for a short period of time.
  6. Hey Snappy, good morning! After reading through, I went back to watch my own track once more. And yes, point 5. is exactly what is happening: First the HUD turns way from the approach course / track, then it seems to realize its fault and comes back. I didn't notice that when flying, maybe I looked at something else in the pit during the time of occurence. I hope that @MYSE1234 will dig in soon, and gives us a little hope that this becomes repaired someday (e.g. in the next 24 hours) So we have two obvious bugs: The first one is described in section 2., and the second one is described in section 5. I will leave everything as you have written here, since you have done that very professional manner, and everything needed is there I think.
  7. Find the logic how to do on page 87 in the RC2.1 manual:
  8. Just for the records, this bug has already been solved.
  9. @Snappy Can you still reprodoce the issue? I did a test today, and I wasn't able to reprocude the issue. I was landing at Vaziani Airbase, starting hot in the air.
  10. @Silhou This was repaired in a previous update and can therefore be closed. Thanks!
  11. Happy to help!
  12. Hey Elf, I was looking into your TRK file, and I found the issue: Somehow the slats/flap switch was set back to position "OUT", which is the middle position, but it is only accepted in the lowest position "OUT & DOWN", as required a few steps before. And yes, the TRK hosts the entire original mission + additionally the controls inputs and tracking data of your flight. Besides all that, I also noticed the jump forward during the canopy closing procedure; I think you are flying in VR, and you accidently pushed the levers forward?
  13. Never mind, happy you made your way through the jungle!!
  14. Updatelog: 2024-10-21, 21:59 UTC =================== Dear Viggen drivers! Regarding the Quick missions, I have some news for you: .) All quick missions in section 7. Countermeasures have been updated to accomodate the correct amount of chaffs. .) The older pictures describing the sections U22 ECM pod and U22/A ECM pod have been replaced by pictures taken out of the current manual version. .) A picture describing the Quick release mode taken out of the current manual version has been added. Happy SEAD! TOViper
  15. Hint: Fly against humans, not overdriven pseudo-AI that are fighting with cheat-mode set to ON This adds much fun, and much realism in terms of aircraft performance.
  16. Just for the records, this non-blocking issue was resolved two updates ago.
  17. Good approach for solving a problem! May I ask which issue you had with step 3 (which are the STAB AUGs)?
  18. Oh, thats a whole other story After turning off the radar (or not), I leave the target, and then I press T0 and then everything reverts back to the standard wingspan mode. But you are right, the ranging is done with having the radar at A0. @MYSE1234: Is there some internal logic that keeps the ranging active while the radar was set to A0?
  19. Yes, radar ranging can be turned on and off with TAKT IN at adress 25. No need to press T1; target lock (IF radar ranging is used) is done by trigger UNSAFE. The radar will then "lock" the position with the strongest radar return (or the landscape I guess when no objects are there). Furthermore, if a M point is selected currently in the destination indicator, a target fix of that waypoint will be made at exactly the location where you are aiming. null
  20. Yup, good luck mate!
  21. Hello Chops, watching your video, obviously your real throttle is not pulling back the simulation throttle to IDLE, it still stays too far forward: If I just turn my head (no shift), and look down to the throttle lever in the cockpit, the IDLE position should look like this:
  22. Hello Chops, The first entry sounds like a technical issue; did this problem go away in the meantime? The second entry is not an issue, the crew chief simply doesn't respond to this command (note: Crew chief <> Jester!). Regarding the third entry: A procedure is something different than a checklist. Often - also in reality - people mix up these terms. A procedure is more like a receipt what to do and how to do, and includes many system checks that are not super important for flight safety. A checklist exists in order to finally make sure that all really important items have been accomplished, because they ARE really important. If you miss one of these (or ignore what the checklist tells you), you most probably rush into problems, ranging from smaller problems up to flight safety relevant issues. Hope this helps you a bit. Hey saltyleon, I am just curious, have you phinally managed to fly that lesson with success?
