De nada! BTW: The feature is documented here. I am pretty sure most people don't read what Heatblur wants them to read ... Mi dispiace di non parlare italiano. Purtroppo ho avuto un pessimo insegnante di latino. If that makes sense .. ?

The images are shown at 70% of DCS windowsize. You have two options: "Normal means": Remove them via COMMS menu > F-10 Other > "Disable pictures" and use the ones in your kneeboard; the kneeboard size can be changed via mouse. "Hack": Load the mission into mission editor and change all cyan triggers starting with "SWITCHED CONDITION (Enable pictures T0x X) and set the TRIGGER ACTION "PICTURE TO ALL" to higher values.

NORDIC RESPONSE – a new Viggen campaign for the Kola Map
TOViper replied to Gretsch_Man's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Hey Gretsch_Man! I flew the 1st mission too, and I liked it very much. Only thing was that the guy standing at the holding point for RWY 32 didn't move away (despite I had clearance to go), and subsequently all other flights were blocked. The mission worked until the end though, and I managed to get it finished, so no big deal. Don't get me wrong ... but ... erm ... I love the Viggen, and I personally love everyone who is somehow working for the Viggen Kisses! TOViper -

Viggen anti-jamming modes (AS0-7) what do they do?
TOViper replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Oh, that's an interesting spot, never noticed that. -
Would be one of my "within 10 seconds instant buy actions". 0 seconds for thinking, 10 seconds for paying. Period. Others hate this idea, but I would simply love it. I don't care if it is a 100% representation or not. I just want to fly a Viggen without compressor stalls when hunting MiG-21s

Viggen anti-jamming modes (AS0-7) what do they do?
TOViper replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
The AS mode selector indeed influences the radar picture. Try it out: Place Russian warship Moskva on map Approach Moskva with the Viggen flying in 200 m above sea Turn on the radar and try to sweep the radar beam over the ship When your radar is sweeping over the Moskva, observe it jamming; thereby it might be a little hard to determine its current position caused by the missing range information); this is caused by the strong noise (black areas on the radar screen) Now use AS mode selector in different positions, and see the changes in appearance of the noise on the radar screen Maybe (!) then you may determine its real position by getting not only the bearing, but also range Depending on range and height above sea you might get different results, but its important to observe the mode selector indeed changes something ... -
There must be some "Sitzhöhenverstellungmechanismusmotorstromversorgungsleitungsabsicherungsreparaturanweisungsblatt" somewhere....

Now we can start thinking of the reason for a seat heating ... hm. Maybe some pilot-induced "oscillation"?

Skill levels in the sim don't fit what is written in the manual
TOViper replied to TOViper's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
Was just an accidental find while thinking about this and at that the toilet ... -
Guys, in MP last week I had serious troubles with sling loading a 23mm Howitzer on HACA DYCA server. I select # > F6 > 23 mm gun > I see red smoke on the package > I see the rope coming; my buddy in the OH-58 didn' see the rope > I try to tension it > in 400 ft above ground still no tension > I release. When trying to select another cargo with # > F6, I see the menu option "Cancel hooking cargo"; it never disappeared, even after selecting it several times, so I was not able to select another cargo then. I tried two times with 2 UH-1s within the same mission, but to no luck. Is this related that the carg used in the mission is NOT a specific "UH-1 Cargo"?

East of Kerman in Persian gulf hosts a lot of desert, though I am pretty sure they didn't film there. I flew there years ago when it came out. Has a very specific beauty this map, especially in the Iranian area I feel.

Maybe its better to remember the position of the needles (2 o'clock you are most probably rolling or falling from sky, 4 o'clock you are barely getting to fly, 6 o'clock you are in the comfort speed range, 7 o'clock you approach higher dynamic pressure areas, 8 o'clock you get in lower subsonic speed range, 9 o'clock you are slowly approaching transonic range, etc.). Remember these positions together with their related values if you can, so you don't have to really read the values, but instead just glance on the needles which are much more easier to spot. If you need exact values, you can always reserve one or one and a half second (shouldn't take much longer). It's time to use a curvature for the roll axis then; I have Warthog as well and I feel that a curvature value of ~10 to 20 is good enough. The same applies to pitch axis (considering pitch stab is ON); with a curvature of 20 you should be fine here as well.

Hey thank you for your quick response! Luckily, I got it working using this trick. Would be good to have this trick in the documentation in order to avoid unneccesary questioning here in the thread... Thanks and kind regards! TOViper

Hey! I downloaded the mod, put the folder Su-30_EFM_V2.7.98b to saved games > mods > aircraft, fire up dcs, go to mission editor, select russia, put plane on the map, click fly. Unfortunately I am not able to enter the cockpit. I have all necessary FC3 modules licenced and active. I am using latest DCS 2.9.13. version. What did I wrong? Please help, thanks!

Yup, happy it works for you again, after a long time of experimenting I was interested in this thread, I had similar problems in the past, but got it somehow "sorted out" by doing this and that, and by then avoiding the software for about a year or so. I did not remove and start from scratch though. It's good to know that at least this "hard reset" of VAICOM is good enough to get rid of the problem your machine had.
-
As last resort I would try other buttons and if this doesn't work, I would start from scratch with a new configuration. I have no other ideas left.

Maybe its not the very best idea to nuke everything. Maybe its better to just simply backup everything, start with a clean input folder, and do some tests. If you experience problems with just one or two buttons, you could then use your original input folder, and get rid of only the bindings that aren't working. Reading through your longer post above, it seems that the problem is the controller itself (I dont have any experience with these TBH), so it might not be worth nuking everything. Usually it takes ages to bind everything for all aircraft and it would be sad to lose all of them, you know what I mean?
