Hm, not on that page; it is not even described on page 253, where it should IMHO. I'll add this for the next update, thanks for the heads-up guys. This is what I've prepared within the last 20 minutes: null -

Feedback Thread - Viggen Update July 11th 2024
TOViper replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
THIS 100% I love you all guys! -
I do the trick by cycling (activating - deactivating) the quick release with my thumb on the right hand (Warthog). This gives flares every 0.3 seconds or so ...
-
Hm, maybe an issue with the canopy not opening correctly or the throttles not set to IDLE. These are the only two things that are checked by the lesson logics at that stage.
-
Hello MustangSally, which lesson are you refering to? Take-off is lesson 03, visual approach is lesson 04?
-
Really looking forward for the repairs and patches! It's really the time for more "viggening" again ...
-
Not so far what you described. I sometimes noted a timedelay until the entered waypoints from the F-10 map appear on the kneeboard. After cycling all of the cartridges once, in the second run mine appeared then.

I can confirm that locking from front-aspect with RB74 is not working right now. Rear-aspect is fine. 2024-06-08_AJS-37_RB74_no_front_aspect_vs_MiG21.trk

Training mission 2: taxi. "Wait until..." not advance.
TOViper replied to Tarres's topic in Bugs & Problems
Hey Tarres & Mr. Farknocker! The lesson you want to play should show this dev info in the mission briefing "SITUATION" (at the very bottom): MIZ: 2024-05-23 15:00:00 (CEST) CN: 2024-06-05 11:52:00 (CEST) This is the correct dev info for the latest DCS Update version 2.9.5.55918. Your track shows another timestamp, so I think - if you have updated to the latest version - the update didn't catch these files. Please make sure to either repair DCS or update to the newest version! -

Sounds good Antonio, have fun!! -
You guessed right; it is to make sure all changes that might be codewise implemented until then have a real chance to be in the manual.

TOViper replied to joker62's topic in Bugs & Problems
Hey Joker62! After reading your latest post, I am pretty sure your computer has a hardware issue. Maybe overheat or undervoltage caused by high system load. -
Info: Next update of Viggen manual is planned for the DCS WORLD patch coming mid of June or later (not the patch coming on June 5th).

TOViper replied to joker62's topic in Bugs & Problems
Hey Antonio, thanks for the information. Sometimes the reason for problems cannot be seen at first glance, but I really hope you can somehow figure out whats blocking your enjoyment. I would go for video driver, the video cache settings and the video settings first, then swap space (also if enough space is free on the hard disc), then check the integrity of the harddisc, then for USB drivers where your controls are connected, and then for software issues like virus scanner and other bullshid software, etc. Thats how I would start without having any more infos at that stage. -
[Resolved] Training mission 2 - Pilot taxi get stuck
TOViper replied to Gianky's topic in Bugs & Problems
@IronMike: Can you make a new thread out of that please? The other stuff is resolved, so this posting would be lost otherwise. Thanks! -

TOViper replied to joker62's topic in Bugs & Problems
@IronMike I wasn't able to re-produce this issue in 250 (it is Lesson 02 - Taxi, not Lesson 01 - Startup). During the radar altimeter test, the light worked as intended (see reference marker slightly below and slightly above the pointer). -

@IronMike: Can you please take a look to these ZIPs? -

Oh, that sounds like you had something really bad happening with the filesystem, and good to hear you managed that! Maybe I find a minute or two in the evening to fly exactly that lesson with exactly your configuration (console lights and autopilot), maybe there is something hidden we currently can't see. If you have any new information, please post it here, I will keep monitoring this thread. -

TOViper replied to joker62's topic in Bugs & Problems
Hello joker62! I read carefully through your posting, but I am not sure if I got you right on your first sentence. 1. Is DCS freezing, or 2. Does the lesson just not continue at some point? In case of 1: I cannot really help out without any more infos. In case of 2: Which step is the last one that you can see written on-screen in the right top corner of the screen? Maybe you have the track or a screenshot that I can check too. Regarding the other notes, I will check them ASAP. Thanks in any case for taking the time to write this feedback! Kind regards, TOViper -
This is when DCS is so real, that even your computer starts overheating when using the radar for too long without adequate cooling. Like in the the F-4 on ground. Isn't DCS F-4E a great sim in that sense? It seems easy to turn radar off on ground, but what if you use it in air? Does your computer feel ram air then?
