Hi all, In my Huey the forward/backward camera movement is very very slow suddenly. I assigned these movements to my hat switch TM warthog joystick. Until recently the movement was ok. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!! Jozeff

Ok Guys, wonderful stuff! Are the commands in dcs named exactly as you mentioned above? I get confused by the 100s of commands in dcs .... I discovered that I can assign modifier buttons in in dcs ???? Is there a special "trim a little up or down" function or is this done by trimmer disable, pulling the stick a bit and enable trim buttun again? I'm trying to set my coolie hat to shift, r-shift, Ctrl, r-ctrl and then assign as many functions to my hat switch on the joystick. Is that a good idea? Thanks again guys!! Jozeff

Ok thanks Guys! Is it better to l Ave the key combo's alone in dcs and set up my joysticks directly in dcs or... Alter the key bindings so that I can use joy2key for assigning a shift, Ctrl or alt key to a joystick button? This gives me a lot of possible combinations to bind to let's say the hat of my joystick. I'll have to change some key bindings in dcs however. Any advice on that? Thanks a lot! Jozeff

Wow, tippis! This is, by far, the best advice on TARGET that I have ever read. Thanks so much for convincing me to drop the whole target experience! I'll dive into the bindings that d s had to offer. Dobi need bindings to trim the heli or olis trim only possible by using the force trim option? Can I use my warthog lever/button(s4) as a shift/Ctrl key bindings? Cheers Thx! Jozeff Jozrff

Ok thanks, thats it? There a a lot more controls needed I guess? I have pedals so that's no problem. So you advice not to use target? I have the feeling that it's quite heavy on CPU or something..... Why does everyone use target if dcs has good options to bind controls?

Hi guys, Still struggling to set op my controls for the Huey and my thrustmaster warthog.... I tried several profiles for TARGET but there are a lot of bindings for views that I don't use because I fly vr exclusively. There is a profile available for vr and Target but I don't like the script editor because it's too complicated for my needs. I like separate profiles that I load into dcs in the right category so keyboard, throttle and joystick. Is anyone willing to share their profiles/bindings ( no TARGET files..) that I can use? I'm also looking for an overview of all necessary key bindings for the Huey. There are hundreds of bindings available in dcs but I'd like to bind just those that are essential in vr. The navigation and radios are easier to operate by mouse clicks in VR. So, which keys should I bind in dcs for my Huey? An overview would be awesome so that I can finally start flying. Thanks a lot!! High guys, I guess this topic has been here before some time ago but couldn't find the right answer. My Huey us absolutely lovely but it exploded al.ost every time I try to land the damn thing. I guess it's overstressed blades or egt temp too high but I don't know for sure! How do I prevent this from happening and how do I figure out what exactly happened after I crash? Thanks a lot!!

Hi guys, Thanks. I figured it out. Press alt+' and them choose a different livery. By olive meant the standard greenish color from us 1972 model. DCS is quite complex sometimes and the key combinations are endless.,.. Thanks again Jozeff

Hi guys, How can I change the cockpit color/textures. The olive green looks very bleak in my oculus... Thanks!! Jozeff

Oh no, it's my holiday week here in the Netherlands..... A bit of Huey fun in my oculus was planned but my hopes are almost gone...

Does pitools also do something for oculus rift? Guess not.... Cheers Jozeff

I've read the story below somewhere.....I'm pretty interested in what happens when you turn off the screen .. On the VGA port, there is 2 pins which you connect each other it will recognized as you connected to a monitor. If you connect VGA jack to monitor, the GPU will know that a monitor is added even it's turned off, only the information of the monitor won't transmitted to GPU, GPU will ignore it. When you using a monitor and turn it off, the GPU will know that you still connect to that monitor but it's turned of and it'll not ignore that monitor, rendering on that monitor will still be there. I've test this on HDMI also.

Thanks for your post, Do you mean actually turning the monitor off? I mean, you graphics card doesn't know if the thing is turned on or off I guess...

Hi guys, Flying the Huey in VR and I am extremely excited about that lately. The instruments, especially in the mid console are very hard to read in my rift however Is it possible to save a close up view of the instruments or gauges and attach that view to a key so I can snap between views? In xplane11 and P3d there are many options to achieve that but I don't know how to in DCS. Thanks for your advice! Jozeff

Where can I download the Huey profile? The link doesn't seem to work! I used it in the past and it is awesome. Thanks Jozeff

Would this work for the Huey?

This is fantastic news! When can we expect this update? Just curious... Thanks Jozeff

Thanks! Which Nvidia and oculus processing are you talking about exactly? I mean, the Oculus processing application is always running when flying in VR right? Thanks again! Jozeff

Which is best, in game SS or in tray tool? Thanks Jozeff

Hi guys, Interesting thread. I have the absolute minimum specs.... An overclocked 2600k and a GTX 970 slightly oc. I play a lot DCS and P3d in VR and it's ok. Not Perfect by any means.but doable. Clear sky and pretty low settings but I have the immersion. If you have any questions let me know. I have the rift btw. Cheers Jozeff

Which training missions come with the mi8
jozeff replied to jozeff's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Ok thanks! One more question.... Is the mi8 very hard to fly compared to the Huey? I'm a bit scared of literally hundreds of switches.... I want to focus on transport like flying and not so much shooting stuff. The problem I have with the Huey is that it's so unstable. As soon as i'm focusing on other things I crash. Is the oilfield campaign for the mi8 focussed on transport or fighting? Thanks again!! Jozeff -
Hi everyone, I have the Huey but I'm also interested in the mi8. Does it have training or tutorial missions? Or are there training missions available? I found the training missions for the Huey a bit minimal. I want to fly the mi8 in VR. Is it possible to switch views? It's a large aircraft so I need to be able to switch views I Guess. Thanks for your thoughts Jozeff
