  1. It's a long way for me, but I'm definitely tempted!
  2. Exactly my thoughts on the topic. Let's wait for the download release and some official statements.
  3. Sounds like fun! :D
  4. Not a dump question. Funny enough, there is a Russian thread with a similar subject :smilewink: You can buy the Russian DVD-Version only in Russia and the CIS, where it is distributed by 1C.
  5. Hm, is that so bad? I was in doubt wether to get the Russian version or not. Just to fiddle around a bit, even if supporting DCS, well, I don't grow money in my backyard. But knowing about the possibilities finally convinced me to get both, the Russian version now and the Western version later. Furthermore, I think I will get a couple of Russian versions and make them presents for my friends ;) - I did the same with LockOn when it was around 12 Euros here. @ graywo1fg: I also like the idea of getting one version for a server.
  6. Oh, thanks for the heads up - hopefully there will be something like a checklist once the download-version is available. :noexpression:
  7. I strongly recommend the startup-video from this page: http://www.thebattlesim.com/index.php?end_pos=133&scr=products&lang=en It's pretty boring compared to Wags' videos and based on an old build, but it shows the complete procedure and largely in closeup of the buttons used, together with descriptions step by step.
  8. Nah, that's this week for most of us already ;)
  9. Thanks for the link. The detail of the BS still amazes me, though I have seen dozens of screenshots.
  10. Just wait for next week and be pleasently surprised, either by your correct guess or by an early release. :smilewink:
  11. I think we all understand why. :smilewink: No problem with that, though. Everbody has to make up his own mind. ~S!~
  12. Polite is a wide area, swepain. And some things are out of it, even though you share the opinion. On the other hand, however, so far even Wags wrote his answer to his own knowledge, not as the ultimate answer. Most probably because he didn't have the Russian version and was relying on second hand information himself. Especially if you consider that the final version was not ready at the time the answer was given. It may not interest you, but the question was turned up several times, partially due to lack of official statements and having to rely on direct answers to only a limited aspects of the translation. Taking a devs word, even Wags' over first hand experience is surely not the way to deal with a question openminded. I know Peyoterus is your friend (Forum-tools are great, aren't they?) and you can revenge-neg-rep me, too, but that doesn't change the fact that his initial answer was neither friendly nor helpful, and in the meanwhile it turned out to doubtful, too. So it's up to you wether you want to continue the flamewar together with your friend or if you help seeking out an answer that helps us all.
  13. Only the DVD-Version in Russia and the CIS. :smilewink:
  14. Seems it is possible after all: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=547945&postcount=139
  15. Wow, that's cool! Thanks for that information! Now, when does the shop go online? :D
  16. +1 This is also in the wishlist-sticky for future DCS addons on top of this forum.
  17. The X52(pro) is a great stick, especially for the price. I just recently switched back to my Cougar, though. It has full Vista-Support, now, and the programming abilities are just awesome.
  18. According to Wags no English text in Russian BS: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?...&postcount=141
  19. Yes, I know - I was refering to Peyoteros :smilewink: Thanks for the info.
  20. Well, as I posted, that was not my question. This was asked several times in the last few hours and as many are interested in downloading the Russian version when it is released, I'd like to reasure them and myself, too. You can start a flamewar, of course, but if you KNOW 20 statements on these forums, maybe you can point me to one or two, so I can forward these links? There's plenty of time to vent after that.
