ED officials/developers...a few questions!
-Skipper- replied to pagadi-zaiet's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Why shoot yourself? If you have a gun, hijack a jet, fly to Moscow, buy the game! Just take your PC before you leave, so you have it, when you go to jail. :D -
Hm, Wags, that comment leaves some room for interpretation and I tend to like what I interpret into it. Nevertheless we have to wait for the western-release and your excellent PNs helped us waiting for the real thing - and we have still 3 month to go without the game and now even without your PNs

DCS: Black Shark English Key Command List and HOTAS assignments
-Skipper- replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
When you have the cursor mapped as axes, then you directly move the target designator with the stick. Where you point, it will move and if you let go, the designator centers with the ministick. If you use it as mouse, that problem doesn't occur. To the initial question: This bug was already confirmed to be gone with BlackShark. -
what would you like to have in demo??

Hell, my insurance doesn't cover that. Or does lightning-strike include Blitzkrieg? -

I've asked for that a while ago, too. No reply to that so far. It appears the page only shows a given number of links, as with each link added, we lose one older download-link. When I stated the question, video #2 was still available  Fixing that would be much appreciated, especially for Westerners with the Russian version. :smilewink: -
From how things are going here, I bet we'll get a briefing on that, just before the shop goes online. I doubt the devs have overseen the huge interest of outside CIS-lers in the Russian version, so I'm sure there will be some clarification about this.

Yeah, that's really cool. I also love to see the externals of the wingman. Even for the AI you can almost feel the weight of the helo from the movements and how he turns. Really immersive. PS: Why not a few more notes? Well, I guess we'll be flodded with videos in a few days, but a professional Wags-video about emergency-procedures, a quick overview over editor-usability or multiplayer-setup and stuff would be really appreciated, while us Westerners are waiting for the final. :(

Will you buy the russian version of Black Shark?

There is, for example to test how good the game runs on your PC, if you really want to fiddle around with a helo, etc. And then the demo will be release after the Russian version, but prior to the Western release. -

I fly the BlackHawk and bring in the beer. -
check out babelfish: http://de.babelfish.yahoo.com/ Just copy and paste the text. I started a complete translation, but I'm currently a bit short on time. :(

Indeed. If BS is optimized for anything, it's optimized for a fast CPU & RAM. :D

Will you buy the russian version of Black Shark?
-Skipper- replied to Kenan's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Yes. It translates pretty easy, if you can interpret some literally translations into military/aviation terms. -
Thanks for the link - hopefully the western versions are close, too. Edit: Easier to translate than I expected. After all I might get the Russian version, too....

Well, as I'm most likely not going to buy the Russian version, I'm still looking forward to October 17th, because the NDA will be lifted on that date and there will probably be tons of information, reports, screenshots and videos next week!

Wow - then I think I could have taken off in the Russian version, too. ;) -

Exactly my idea, RT. I can imagine flying a Flanker1 plane by trial and error for the key combinations. But how many keys does it need to start the engines? One? Two? Or as RT mentioned: Try starting Falcon4 from Rampstart without a manual. Or try to hit anything without reading the how-to's! I must confess I'm tempted to buy the Russian version, too, but considering the complexity of this sim, I'd rather welcome a release of the manual in a not too far future, to be able to study this monster before actually testing what I learned in the cockpit with maximum realism from day 1. -
You forgot that some banks charge a fee of 10 to 20 $ for transactions into the CIS :smilewink:

DCS: Black Shark, Russian Version has gone gold
-Skipper- replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Roger that. Head over to the 1C boards and check out people demanding things in a much worse tone because they waited and think they deserve something. But reading to that other thread, where you were hammered, I sometimes feel pressed to the conclusion, that some people don't ask questions because they want an answer, but because they want THE answer they want to hear. -

Actually he said "texts" - that does not neccessarily mean "manual". :smilewink:
