  1. It would be a nice alternative but would be too new compared to current in-game systems. https://www.navy.mil/navydata/fact_display.asp?cid=2100&tid=400&ct=2 "In September 2006, the Departments of the Navy and Air Force put in place a low-cost, non-developmental enhancement to the GBU-38 (500-pound) JDAM to address moving targets. Open competition and source selection completed in February 2010, and the Air Force awarded a contract to Boeing for a version of Laser JDAM (LJDAM) that provides a direct-attack moving-target capability. LJDAM (GBU-54) is a 500-pound dual-mode weapon that couples the GPS/INS precision of the JDAM and laser-designated accuracy of the laser-guided bomb into a single weapon. LJDAM also provides added capability and flexibility to the Fleets existing inventory of precision-guided munitions to satisfy the ground moving-target capability gap. LJDAM reached IOC in FY 2012. The Navy is developing the GBU-58 Laser JDAM for the BLU-109 penetrator to field in 2018 to replace the legacy GBU-24 Paveway III weapons systems."
  2. CATM-120s, LGTRs, AMA Pods and CAP-9s would look really nice
  3. - Ability to dictate aircraft taxi direction on cold start or hot start. ie at Nellis AFB, have the aircraft face the revetment/LOLA dirt barriers when taxi out and back in (aircraft with forward firing munitions can only face this direction in reality)
  4. Yes, I've been following Miles work for a while. This Wii remote could be considerably cheaper, would need more details. Ergonomics wise, Miles design is a much better setup.
  5. ok, I'm intrigued. I'm assuming this is using the Wii remote as a PC mouse as I saw that somewhere.
  6. In case someone needed skin references, here is a bump.
  7. The AIM-7 is also not rail launched like the AIM-120, the AIM-7 is ejected in most cases, unless there is an unknown variant out there some where.
  8. NTTR single player with a couple of different loads and a hot ramp start.
  9. Landing Gear does not compress, very noticeable on the NLG strut and the way the MLG wheels are angled. Reference actual aircraft
  10. That is indeed rapid development! Thanks for the reply Wags.
  11. I wish they would at least fix current issues of the NTTR map. It might be "feature complete" but it is not 100% complete and Nellis AFB is the biggest issue.
  12. I'll be happy with updated F-16C/D AI models which has been on the list for a while along with several others (B-52H, B-1B etc)
  13. I spent a lot of time at Nellis and know for a fact that all aircraft departing that carry Live ordnance depart via 03R/L and recover 21R/L and mass departures like those seen during Red Flags depart and recover the same way with occasional changes due to winds and weather. They try to limit the amount of air traffic over the highly populated areas. As far as DCS goes, I was not aware the AI would use 03L/21R but Nellis has a lot of other issues that also need addressed beyond just that, but I digress.
  14. These two videos, primarily Jays video is why I chose this case. It offers the options I was looking for at a pretty reasonable price.
  15. The motherboard choice was based on VRM setup, the use of PCI-e 4.0 and the number of USB ports available as well. The choice of using the 2080ti as opposed to the 5700 XT is based on VR performance and right now the 5700 XT doesn't offer the increase I'm looking for. If a custom PCB for the 5700 XT comes out that shows promise I might opt for that. The 3900X choice was having more headroom for OC with higher memory clocks as well. I need a system that will last a few years instead of the little upgrades I've done in the past.
  16. Probably two as both systems may not be running at the same time.
  17. Thanks for the video, I found a website that talked about the 570 chipset boards and it had similar information. I've decided on the MSI Prestige due to the shear number of USB and excellent VRM for Memory OC. I've also decided on the below build, now that I've seen all the info on the 3rd Gen AM4 CPU. The PCI-e 4.0 for the SSDs and excellent Memory OC was also a big factor. MSI Prestige X570 Creation $500 Ryzen 7 3800X $400 <--- May go with the 3900X if available 64GB Corsair 3200 $356 MSI RTX 2080 Ti Sea Hawk $1500 Total= $2756 ASUS ROG Strix B450-I $150 Ryzen 7 2600X $237 32GB Corsair 3200 $178 MSI 5700 XT $410 Total= $975
  18. lol, a project I started and never got to finish :( Learned a lot though
  19. I'll be using the Phanteks Revolt X 1200w dual power supply for this system. Case https://www.phanteksusa.com/collections/enthoo-series/products/phanteks-enthoo-luxe-2-gray https://www.phanteksusa.com/collections/power-supplies/products/phanteks-revolt-x-power-supply?variant=12550351257655
