  1. Feel free to elaborate
  2. Sure, I'd be okay with that
  3. The Minnesota Air National Guard flies Block 50's as well, however they didn't get their Block 50's until 2010.
  4. Incorrect The F-35's are replacing their MiG-29's, not the F-16's
  5. As history shows...the initial skins will likely be USAF only Block 50 skins Afterwards as time goes on they'll add fictional, "what if" skins.
  6. Cool We don't have a Canadian Hornet in the game so that's irrelevant
  7. They'll still need ECM pods.
  8. The challenge with some sources is they paint a broad brush for general info and a 30,000 foot flyover. That's F-16.net at times Rogoway is just a pot stirring dingdong who will latch onto things in order to get clicks
  9. Rogoway is mistaken, and it's not the first time. He's a hot dog vendor that also writes military articles of questionable validity in his spare time. The USAF Block 50/52's are *incapable* of running CFT's. The CFT's weren't even a factor when the Block 50/52's were designed and delivered in the mid 90's and they've never been refit.
  10. I believe Thrustmaster did say they're seriously exploring updating their F-16 throttle.
  11. I think you're mistaken..no USAF F-16's are CFT capable.
  12. Because they're modeling a USAF/ANG F-16CM Block 50, not another version. This shouldn't be a difficult concept, yet for some reason it's proving to be a great conundrum for people.
  13. Tough. ED has chosen to model a USAF/ANG Block 50CM from 2007, not foreign versions.
  14. Maybe, or it could be released earlier too.
  15. More or less the same. Some people will bring up things like the SLAM-ER missile, but it's rarely used. For day to day stuff they're more or less comparable
  16. Steam requires a date to be able to do a pre-purchase like this. In the past they've allowed "fall" or something, but I think they revised it to require a specific date. It's likely to change.
  17. I'm positive he meant Tomcat.
  18. Because they are doing a 2007 F-16CM. They want it to be as absolutely accurate as possible for a 2007 CM. If you want a frakenviper of different years all mishmashed into one with no regard for specific year accuracy, there are other options.
  19. It would need: New engine model Engine control model Flight model (the Block 52 uses a different intake with different drag values) FCS model (different engine weights, etc)
  20. The Hornet guys that were primarily moved to the F-16 are no longer needed on the Hornet due to that portion being complete. Because the Hornet FM is complete and only needs occasional updates due to new weapons and equipment, it makes more sense for them to be moved to a project that can use them to 100% potential. You don't have a 3d modeler/texture guy working on avionics coding.
  21. Cool, good for you. Just don't flame ED for your personal choices.
  22. The team that is working on the Hornet is different from the team working on the Viper. The reason the Hornet progress has been slower is because the low hanging fruit has been plucked, and the only things left are very complex and difficult.
  23. DCS 3.0 Vulkan API Dynamic Campaign for both online and coop online multiplayer Full VOIP replacing SimpleRadio Dynamic weather engine
  24. So this is more so a ..kind of funny ha ha request, but it'd be cool Could we have Jason Gedrick (Doug Masters from Iron Eagle) be the voice over for the IP? :pilotfly:
  25. The USAF does not use them on the F-16 and the F-16 is incapable of using them in USAF service.
