There's no reason the assume the A-6 is before a naval Phantom. Nick has said on this forum that they're going to be starting on the Naval F-4 immediately after the F-4E is complete

Classification is only one part of the story, ITAR is another factor that can block even non-class materials from getting used.

2023 and Beyond- F-4 Screenshots and Discussion

I really don't thik the A-6E will ever be a flyable module. HB has said they're struggling to get info to do the aircraft to their standard. They'll either need to revert to something like an A-6A or it'll stay AI only if the drought of info on the E persists. -
Going with the P-51D external model re-work, would it be possible please to introduce a D-5 tail? This is the non-fillet tail that was seen on P-51D's from June 1944 until the arrival of the D-10's later in the fall. Much of the action over Normandy and the breakout from the beaches would have been done with the earlier P-51's. I know it's probably not super simple, but it seems what would be needed is a new 3d model for the tail (ala the wingtips on the Spitfire) and a FM revision reducing the lateral stability due to reduced side space (no fillet). Likewise you would see the gunsight in the cockpit be replaced from the K14 gyro site to a fixed (n9? I think?) gunsight.

If possible, time permiting, stars aligning, etc.. Could the P-51 please be brought up to the external visual levels like the Spitfire, 190 Anton and P-47? The cockpit is nice, but the external models are painful and really limit creativity in skins. Thanks!

I know part of the challenge and joy of the Tomcat is its handling quirks, however a friend of mine recently got the Tomcat and is mobility bound (wheelchair, complete leg paralysis) and is having difficulty coordinating their rudder work with the jet using a HOTAS. Would it be possible/agreeable to have auto-rudder as a special option in this case? I know I'm likely to get some real charming responses from gatekeepers, but I figured I'd ask for those unable or unwilling to do so. Thanks for an amazing module, Heatblur!

FWIW, from what i've read from pilots that flew multiple Phantom variants, the F-4S was the absolute best dogfighter of all the Phantoms and would be a handful for many aircraft that were its "superior"

Since the F-8 is established as a M3 project and such, wouldn't it be appropriate to give it its own sub-forum here? I know it's not super far along but it seems to me it'd be nice to have a forum.

I know by and large the Spitfire is done, aside from occasional bug fixes and quality of life improvements. Would it be possible, the next time the Spitfire goes through a quality of life improvement or such, to add an E wing option? Since the coding for the .50 cals are in place already, "all that would be required"..I put it in quotations due to the fact I know it's not that simple, would be a new 3d model, a few minor FM tweaks due to the canon fairing and new gunport. I think this would be a worthwhile addition as it would expand the accurate option in mission and campaign planning as quite a few units flew IXE's. thanks!

The Legit Discussion for PTID on the F-14B and late F-14A
RaceFuel85 replied to SkyhawkDriver's topic in Heatblur Simulations
With the F-14 after about 1998 the general status of upgrades was a bit of a mess. The F-14A's and B's initially got the PTID, which for the most part is a high definition display of the existing TID displays. There were a few special pages, namely the Navigation screen (which there is an example of in documentation) and the JDAM data screen (same, which there is an example of). There is information missing about the entirety of the F-14BU program and the F-14D of course, however there is a reasonable enough amount of information available to model the standalone addition of a PTID to the existing F-14A and F-14B. Not all F-14B's got the full B Upgrade kit (GPS, Sparrowhawk, etc). Many just got the PTID screen and GPS systems to employ JDAM's, and some only got the PTID screen. Only VF-11, 32 and 103 got the full F-14BU kit, of which there isn't much public info. I suspect the reason is probably less an ability to get information in combination with SME's but more so wanting to just let the F-14 be done and move on from it. -
This is pure unadulterated fantasy.

One thing that really makes the P-51 stand out in DCS, and not in a good way, is the exterior 3d model and the corresponding fairly mediocre, by current standards, available skins for the P-51. It would be nice if in the not too distant future the P-51 receive and exterior 3d model rework to bring it up to the standards of the P-47, Spitfire and FW-190 Anton. The cockpit rework was tremendous and looks lovely, but it's sadly a bit let down by the exterior of the plane, which while isn't always super relevant considering you spend the majority of your time in your cockpit...you still see it when looking out

It'd probably be better to ask for modern airfields be added to the Normandy map

I really wish Decoy and Prowler would be on the same page. One says it's not in active development, the other says it is.

I'd happily buy a full fidelity MiG-29A or Su-27...so the belief that "americans wouldn't buy it" is generally false and probably a bit of an over-simplified point of view.

No.... I think you may have an issue with your control hardware sending multiple input impulses -
New modules rarely go on sale within 12 months of their initial release..it's only just recently that the Hornet has been discounted at all
