  1. Except it wasn't certified on USAF F-16's and they're not capable of using them.
  2. The Block 50/52 can indeed support the Harpoon. However the USAF/ANG did not elect to support the Harpoon on their Block 50/52's, and thus this module, which is a USAF/ANG Block 50 CM from 2007 will not have the Harpoon available.
  3. Vipers in the Storm is by far the superior book, as is "Eye of the Viper", which is a book about F-16 flight training. Viper Pilot is insufferable trash, lots of bullshit, lots of needless space filler.
  4. The Sufa is almost certainly way beyond the public available info sphere to be done properly. A F-16 Block 30 or Block 40 would likely be a case of being so close to a Block 50 that fundamentally they'd be redundant. The F-16A is a good option, however I don't think people would particularly enjoy the severe limitations in terms of stores that would come with it.

  6. The BLU-107 is not a cleared or valid store for the CM circa 2007, and I’m not sure it was ever cleared for the Block 50
  7. Best not tell the USAF Viper Demo Team
  8. I wish my old one hadn't crapped out...period
  9. I'm sure the molds exist, but getting them to just do the Hornet stick has been an exercise in frustration. I'd sooner be able to lodge a piece of coal in my ass and squeeze it into a diamond before they actually take the bull by the horns and do the F-16 throttle again.
  10. My next payday is a week from today...that's the time for me

    F-16 Ai

A family model (F-16D) aircraft would require an entirely new 3D model, entirely new skins, entirely new flight model, AI requirements, etc.
  12. F-16 flight data is available due to extensive testing by NASA with the F-16 and has been published in open sources. I have no doubt that the flight model is going to be as exacting and refined as the Hornet and Tomcat have been.
  13. The TFR wasn't available on the F-16 Block 50's until after the time frame ED is doing. The only other USAF/ANG F-16's with TFR's are the Block 40/42's with the navigation pod as part of the complete LANTIRN system
  14. Thank you Wags and the ED team for getting the F-16 this far this fast..you guys catch a lot of gripes and crap from people, but in the end, we all thank you!
  15. But yes...I'm hoping they'll simulate the proper resting position of the LEF's when shut down or with WOW
  16. Mmm buddy... Weapons School Vipers!
  17. Unfortunately you're correct, ED gave in to the screaming children
  18. The latest year with the most complete public info available is the 2007 F-16. After that you get into versions and info that is much more vague and sparse
  19. It's never been used in war time, ever. The only TER's that F-16's have used are for the Mk82 family of unguided bombs and *maybe* a CBU but I can't confirm that
  20. So...to clear this up. The first F-16 that was theoretically capable of supporting an Aim-7 was the Block 25. Prior to that the radar was not able to support the Aim-7 from launch, guidance and terminal impact. In response to the retirement of the F-4's in the late 80's and the lack of availability of the F-15A's for transfer to the Air National Guard's Air Defense Forces..the USAF elected to take the newest F-16A, the Block 15, and create a limited run of F-16's that were capable of supporting the Aim-7 as the Aim-120 was still in development and testing at that time (1987-1988, etc). The F-16 Air Defense Fighter (ADF) could haul two Sparrows and was used by a few different ANG units...North Dakota, Florida, California, New York, and possibly a few others that I'm forgetting. A few export only Block 30 F-16's were equipped to support the Aim-7, but otherwise no USAF F-16C's (Block 25+) officially were equipped to use the Sparrow. By 1991/1992 this point was moot anyway due to the Aim-120A being introduced into service and the F-16 was rapidly refit to support it almost as soon as it hit formal introduction. So while the F-16 did carry the sparrow, no USAF/ANG F-16's ever did, and the Block 50 certainly never did.
  21. No, the Block 50/52 never was outfitted to carry the Aim-7.
  22. Yeah..the "great" Pierre Sprey. He's a founding member of the "fighter mafia" and derided the F-15 as being too big, fat, slow, complicated, etc. He's mostly laughed at now, but he's gotten back into headlines by bashing the F-35, despite being utterly taken to the woodshed by a USMC F-35 pilot in a debate.
  23. I bailed on Hoggit six months ago...it was genuinely making me miserable to even read stuff there, much less interact.
