  1. I have created a mission in the mission editor with 3 waypoints that show up in the PVI and ABRIS. In game, what I am trying to do is by using the ABRIS, add a 4th waypoint, get the coordinates and put these coordinates in the PVI. I have done all of that, but I am stuck on how to get the ABRIS to show a waypoint line from the 3rd waypoint to the newly created 4th waypoint. The choices in the ABRIS are very confusing and I have trouble finding the so-called "to" button as described in section 6.2, item 9, page 180 of Chuck's guide.
  2. These are the best and most informative videos on the Hind. After watching them, you can go on to watch all of the rest of the numerous YT videos. I downloaded the trimmer mission but it did not seem to be the same as in the video?
  3. I am having trouble locating radio beacons to practice radio navigation. Which type of map do they show up on? Is there a map that shows them? I seem to recall that Lino had such a map.
  4. Has the Hind been added yet?
  5. Has the Hind been added yet?
  6. Watching CasmoTV's YT videos as they are very informative. I notice that the Hind wants to move forward even though the collective is all the way back. Is that normal?
  7. Quatapus This was the answer. I can now trim (sort of) and the cyclic is dead centered at the start. I guess the "control helper" is sort of like a guide as to where your cyclic should be but it really through me off.
  8. "it looks like calibration problem (btw. what do see on Windows game controllers? The cross in the center?" In the Windows game controller, the cross is dead center. I already calibrated the stick in the Virpil software.
  9. It looks like I have given up on flying the HIND as I cannot seem to trim it properly. It is either my fault or a problem with my joystick (a Virpil base and TM stick combo). I have tried everything including both trim methods making sure no FF was listed anywhere making sure no double entries for the joystick and another axis device calibrating my joystick and watch several YT videos on trimming. I did notice that most videos start out with the stick in the very center of the cross hairs in the controls indicator. However, mine starts out about 1/3 rd of the way down and a little to the right. Perhaps it is a problem with my joystick as the TM handle is heavy and may not center properly with the Virpil base. I just do not know and until I can figure this out, it is back to my other modules.
  10. Yes. As an old hand on the screw ups of the controllers, I checked, but I will check again in about 1 hour.
  11. Double and triple checked FFB option and it is off. I also calibrated my joystick in the Virpil software. I am not sure what else to do before I just give up and go back to the F18.
  12. Trouble in trimmer land. I have a TM WH grip and a Virpil WB base. I have set the T for Trimmer to my TM WH pov up and the trimmer reset for the pov down. I am using the default trimmer option. So when I am in the game, I trim, press the trim button and let go of the joystick and the trim does not hold its position. I noticed that in one video, the trim was centered at the beginning, but mine is much lower on the controller diagram. Any thoughts?
  13. I notice in the Data.lua file, the following line exixts: Insert this code into "DCSWorld\Scripts\Input\Data.lua" above the function "loadDeviceProfileFromFile" However, I use the DCS Openbeta version. Is this the problem??
  14. Maxsenna Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need any more info from me on my problem, just let me know.
  15. I am only using the open beta version of DCS in my saved games and in my Eagle Dynamics folders. I put the zip of the input injector in my Ovgme saved games folder and enabled the mod. I then put the new inputCommands foldoer in my open beta saved games folder. However, the new commands do not appear. Is this because I do not use the regular DCS-only the open beta version-so I have to change something. If so what?
  16. The control indicator in the upper right corner has 4 letters. I know that the far left letter is for the yaw control, but what do the other letters stand for and how do you use them to control your flight?
  17. Has anyone figured out how to get LWIN as a modifer? For example, Active Pause is LSHIFT + LWIN + PAUSE.
  18. Has anyone figured out how to put the map on a second screen?
  19. UPDATE: I have found a work-around for now with my MFD #3. I deleted the MFD #3 column in the controls setup and instead sent the button presses to RS Mapper and used RS Mapper to send the commands to the game---and it works. The only issue is that RS Mapper does not use the LWIN key as a modifier, but otherwise it seems to work. I am still puzzled as to why this is an issue.
  20. I have 4 TM Cougar MFDs and until recently all worked fine. When I use a module that does not have MFDs, I use my MFDs as button boxes. I have no problems with MFDs 1, 2 and 4. Only with number 3. Number 3 responds perfectly to the Windows/TM game controller app and all buttons light up when pressed. In the controller screen in DCS, the MFD responds perfectly to the key commands assigned to each button. So everything would appear to be fine. HOWEVER, IN THE ACTUAL GAME, ONLY ABOUT 5 BUTTONS WORK PROPERLY AND THE OTHER BUTTONS DO NOTHING. I have used the same profile that is in MFD 3 in the other MFDs and they work fine so the problem seems to be only in MFD 3. I have reinstalled the TM software etc to the MFDs, unplugged them, etc but nothing seems to correct the problem. Has anyone come across this issue before?
  21. I am looking for a simple tutorial on how to set up smoke in order to mark targets. The only ones that have found were in a foreign language and hard to follow.
  22. Is there a way to raise the seat or adjust your view when trying to land?
  23. I reloaded the fix for VPC and of course everything worked. Not sure what happened before. I am finding that the Sky Hawk is becoming my favorite community mod.
  24. Thanks for the new mission. I think I have the latest version of the fix for the mod but I will check later. BTW, on the navigation mission, how do you know that you are at 5 degrees down and 15 to the right. I have tried it several times and I must not be getting it right as the mission does not move on.
