Rudel_chw Your shore landing training mission will not load. It must be the VPC mod which I had installed with the fix. Could you remake the mission with the VPC mod?

I have assigned the switches on the AFCS to my TM Cougar MFD and so far it seems to work in the game. However, I do have some questions: First, how does the commands Altitude Mode and Altitude switch-ALT differ? Is the former used for the Hotas and the later for a button box, but they do the same function? Second, what are the two path modes as they are not listed on the AFCS panel. The second path mode states: path mode else altitude+heading (wh throttle). How does path mode differ from altitude+heading?

Is the compass on top of the HUD backwards or am I just looking at it wrong?

Two questions: After watching the training lesson on starting the jet, I had trouble (even using 2 hands) in turning the lat/long for D1 and D2. I finally figured out that you can press the button and then simply adjust the lat/long by holding the mouse cursor on the outside dial. Is this a change and am I correct? On the Nav computer, if you are going over land you use the land dial and if by sea, you use the sea dial. What happens if your trip takes you over both? Do you change the dial when that happens? By the way, my old VAC voice program works fine with this jet (except for some reason it will not recognize F 1). I use VAC for this jet so I don't have to mess with VA and Viacom as Viacom does not recognize this jet.

I want to thank JNelson for spending a significant amount of time with me last night in order to solve an issue with the Sky Hawk that was my own doing.

I just put the same beta 5 in both places and the icon is still grayed out even though it says beta 5. I have never had this happen to me before.

See attached. Weird that sometimes my user folder has my name spelled out and sometimes it uses "13057" but I never had any issues with it. Both my name user folder and 13057 seem to go to the same place.

JNelson When I do that, the little skyhawk icon on the start page of DCS is not colored (only grey) and the game crashes when i try to load a mission. If I copy beta 5 over beta 4, the icon is colored, but I then get the graphics issues. Nothing is every easy. I have attached my log file. dcs.log-20210529-143629.zip

Installed the latest version of the skyhawk and I seem to have some graphic issues with the HUD and the kneeboard. See the picture. Also, my kneeboard does not seem to include the 6 pages that are listed in the update. Where are they located?

Can you assign the speed hold and radar hold commands to a HOTAS? I seem to be unable.

Unzip a mission and the kneeboard docs will be in the new unzipped folder.

I have searched but there is no "pause" command only an active pause command. Why? I have to use the Pause button on my keyboard for the pause to work.

While I am a great fan of the DCS User Files in DCS World, I generally do not get involved with Skins as I have enough issues just flying. However, many users do post their colorful skins to the extent that sometimes the entire first page is all skin files. It would be nice if there was a simple button that excluded skins from the user files while a person was examining the various files. No big deal, just a suggestion.

This program is proving to be a little more complicated than I thought. I am still having issues. My guess is that I have not yet caught all of my typos and/or not placed the InputCommands folder in the right place. Oh well.

I thought that be the case, but the mission came with an ICLS signal of 10 so that confused me. Thanks.

nibbylot Don't get me wrong. I have no problem in your group doing what it wants with the sim. I was just pointing out that, at least for me, viewporting the 2 MFDs to a second screen is no longer doable. Having said that, my question would be-as apparently other modules are using .svg with no viewporting issues-is there a chance that in the future this may be resolved? I would be glad to help you but I don't even know what .svg stands for or how it differs from .dds. If you have any legal questions, I would be glad to offer my advice, but computer questions-a definite no. I will still be using your mod as at least I got the UFC working on my second screen. Finally, I would like to thank your group for giving us this mod. PS I think you underestimate the size of the group that uses viewports transferred to a second screen. Attached is a Helios two screen version of the T-45. Before the updated, the MFDs on the second screen were very clear. Now then are unreadable. The Change log does not indicate a modification of fonts, etc. In my profile, the UFC, except for the two dials, are controllable with key commands that I added. The two MFDs are controllable from my TM Cougar MFDs as there were just two many keys to added.

I am trying to do a Helios profile for this plane and I need to know what the internal name of the plane in DCS. Is it "T-45" or "VANO_T45"? The log does not make this choice clear. FROM THE HELIOS MANUAL: Getting the DCS internal airplane name OK, Let's works...the first you need to know the internal name of the airplane in DCS, so follow the next steps: 1- Run DCS and enter in a mission flying the airplane you need the internal name. In that example the F-5E 2- Press pause and then open SavedGames/DCS/Logs/dcs.log with a text editor. On the final lines you can find the Helios export message about the airplane flying in that moment:
