  1. I cannot see the HUD symbols at all. Sometimes if I turn the HUD brightness knob, for a brief second I can see some symbols but then they disappear. So the question is- what is the secret? This happens when the glass is up or down.
  2. Does this mod go into the saved games folder or main game folder
  3. I assum that you have to choose between the English cockpit mod and this mod. Is that correct?
  4. MD44 For the time being, I went to the cold start tutorial and used Chuck's guide and was able to taxi. Next step is to figure out the navigation waypoints, etc and dealing with that bug.
  5. Thanks that was perfect.
  6. I am just getting into the Viggen when I found out about this issue. Could someone explain to me how to do waypoints for the Viggen in the F10 map while in the jet? Also where is the init file that you can modify for waypoints? Thanks
  7. When I set the QFE dial to 1031 and it is set at zero per the training speaker, I then hit the space bar to continue the lesson but nothing happens. Is it me or the lesson?
  8. I have tried this mod several times without success. Yesterday, I tried it again as I wanted the extra keys for the Viggen. Finally success. Great program.
  9. draconus Thanks for the response. However, today there is no red circle. Maybe there is a G-d for virtual flyers.
  10. The "Target Lock" key command has a red circle next to it in the key command list. I have tried to change the command from the Enter key to something else and the red circle remains. As a result, neither the Enter key, nor any other key combination works to lock a target. Weird. This is the only key command with a red circle. This occurs on the Mig-29c which as I understand it, is the S version. I just tested the Su-27 and the target lock key (Enter) worked fine.
  11. Yes. Viewports work in Ikarus, but you have to cut out space for them to show up on the second screen and then add the viewports to your monitor config page.
  12. Does this mod still work with the latest open beta?
  13. The top right number, labeled "COURSE," is the course direction: this is the heading along the course line from the previous waypoint to the current waypoint. This will be your heading if you are flying towards the current waypoint along the course line. So if you go off course, will the number send you back on course first and then follow the course to the wp or will it take you directly to the wp?
  14. I think I got that now. Sometimes you just have to read what is written and not what you think is written. One more question. The course degree in the upper right of the HSI. If you are off course, will the degree take you back on course or take you directly to the intended WP? I am now doing the missile lesson. PS One of the reasons that I have gone back to the F15 is that as I get older, the more complex modules are just to hard to remember all of the different modes for the radar, TPOD, etc and I just lost the fun of flying. So back to the F15 and it would be get if you did a similar set of lessons for the Mig 29S/Su 27 set of planes as these are my next venture.
  15. I am a little confused. I know that the dagger on the HSI is for the course line and the triangle is for the bearing. However, on the HUD, what does the line on the heading scale and the bank angle line represent? The direction to the course line or the bearing?

  17. Some additional news related to this enhancement mod. I spoke to Grinnelli this morning on Discord as I was interested in the ability to add these new pages to MFD's w/o having to replace an existing page. Of course, that would require access to the MFD_Systems.lua file which is encrypted. He showed me how the encryption process works and provided me an unencrypted copy of the file to add new pages to the MFD's. The stipulation is that I re-encrypt the file prior to distribution. @GrinnelliDesigns I want to thank him for his assistance and for proving the file! Now I should be able to figure out how to add additional pages to the MFD's as well as retain the original ones. That sounds pretty cool to me! *EDIT* Initial tests revealed a couple of issues that need to be resolved. The code for the FCS modes is missing so that doesn't work for any of the FCS pages yet and for some reason, keyboard binding won't work with the unencrypted file. This version appears to be an older copy as there were other aspects missing. I've added a few back in but there are a couple of obstacles to overcome.
  18. Tangentorf I was able to open the Cockpit_F-15C.EDM file and with the help of a EDM reader, the only line with RWR in it is: \R[RbRbR[RaR]RdRcR]R^RdR_RMReR`R_RfRfR_ReRaR`RgRgR`RfRbRaRhRhRaRgRcRdRiRiRdRjReRMRkRfReRlRlReRkRgRfRmRmRfRlRhRgRnRnRgRmRiRpRoRiRjRpRkRMRqRlRkRrRrRkRqRmRlRsRsRlRrRnRmRtRtRmRsRoRpRuRuRpRvRqRMRwRrRqRxRxRqRwRsRrRyRyRrRxRtRsRzRzRsRyRuR|R{RuRvR|RwRMR}RxRwR~R~RwR}RyRxR The other 2 Edm files for the F15 did not contain any reference to the RWR that I could locate. You seem to be far more advanced in computer programing than I am. I also have no idea what the Connector Tool plugin does or where to find it. Therefore, on behalf of the F-15c community, if you could explain how to do what you did (it seems like a combination of voodoo and magic), that would be greatly appreciated. Any thoughts on the MPCD?
  19. Nightstorm Getting back to the F15, is there any way you can convince your friend to "lend" you the unencrypted lua file that controls at least the RWR so I can put the RWR on my second screen?
  20. Very good question, but there is no solution. Unfortunately, not. There's nothing the the MFD_Systems.lua directly related to the functionality of those pages. They are still embedded with the F15C avionics. I too would like to be able and export those views. I have three Cougar MFD's set up with screens and I know exactly what you're talking about. Aside from the calls to select the SMS/RWR page on the left and right MFD and the RWR priority mode there's nothing in the MFD System that will allow for anything like that. The only thing I can adjust is what OSB takes you back to the main menu page or to a different page. There's another issue that those pages have no "dimmable" mode. If you go into Night mode, they stay at full brightness. The limits of the avionics.
  21. Nightstorm Thank you for your response. Many years ago someone did develop a mod that enabled the RWR to be exported to a second monitor, but It appears that such mod is now located in the same place as the Holy Grail. As far as I know, the MFD was never able to be exported. FYI, here is what I am flying now with the F15.
  22. Nightstorm I am flying the F15 module in FC3 and two issues have always been present from day one. They are that the RWR and the MFD screens cannot be exported to a second monitor. The radar view port can be exported to a second monitor. I am wondering with your access to the MFD_Systems.lua, if there is any way that you can assist with this problem.
  23. I must be dumb as I still do not understand how to turn on the NVG in the game.
  24. How do the different variants of the Mig-29 differ and which one is most used by DCS flyers?
