  1. on the NTTR map at Nellis all the acft parking structures are invisible. If I run into them they crunch the acft but no matter what I do I cannot see the textures... Sorry this should have been placed in the single player thread...
  2. "I look on the kneeboard and the F10 map but have not figured out how to find where the conflict is." That is what I meant by conflict, I don't see how to find where the mission location is to drop off the troops.
  3. fhog- The f10 menu will let you load troops of different types where there is Blue smoke but I have no idea how to find out where to take the troops and drop them off. I look on the kneeboard and the F10 map but have not figured out how to find where the conflict is. If you figure it out let me know how. Thanks
  4. The Las Vegas one does not load in 2.5 for me, the circle just sits there spinning. I tried to load it in the ME and it would not load there either.
  5. I found this interesting youtube on carrier ops and how to properly do it.
  6. I am glad they are having one in Vegas since I live in socal, I cannot make it to Texas but I can make it to Nevada.
  7. I really like the Helo's but the Harrier is by far the most fun fixed wing for me. I am able to lauch Mavs, Drop bombs and do some SEAD with the sidearms. The other fixed wings I have found to be so complex I never got as far as I have with the Harrier. Definitely Worth a Buy!
  8. Yep That made it work. Thanks
  9. Sorry this has already been reported... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=197478
  10. I know about the switch, it is the brake right, and the fuel shutoff on the left has to be down. I do that and the throttlle moves the full amout in game, it just does not affect the engine ThrottleProb.trk
  11. In Open Beta everything that is suppose to work in the early release does work. I updated DCS 2 Alpha and installed the AV8B I mapped eveything the same as I did in Beta. When I start the harrier it all works, I slide the throttle out of the shutoff position and the engine spools up, then when I am ready to taxi I move the throttle control, the throttle ingame moves exactly like it is suppose to but the engine rpm stays at idle and never changes? I'll make a track.
  12. I have the same problem with smoothness, I cannot get this plane to trim and fly straight no matter what I try with the Warthog setup, it is constantly either climbing or diving. This is not the case for others though, look at this video and how smooth the approach is, also I notice the dive angle and speed and I cannot see the piper There was another video where the guy did ccip and had similar dive angle but at the end around 1000 ft or less the pipper shows up and he release the bomb.

    LHA-1 Tawara

I slide back also if it is moving. Put it at a stop.
  14. Thanks, I watched the tutorial, wow there is like 15 steps to lock a mav, he makes it look so easy. Thanks
  15. Hi mvsgas, I am still trying to figure out the mav, I did get it to work once. AFter I have found a target and used tdc to slew to it when I hit the tdc action to lock it sometimes the lock jumps way out past the target. next question, if I do get a lock and get the mav to the tgt what steps are needed to lock the next tgt.
  16. All you gotta do is put some off runway tires on it.
  17. I think they fixed a lot of that when they went to the B model. I remember what your talking about though. This one we have has all kind of tendancies if you let pitch or roll get out of hand while hovering.
  18. weighs in at 35k and can unofficially lift 70k gross, engines 4,300+ shaft hp http://www.fi-powerweb.com/Engine/General-Electric-T64.html I don't rightly remember but I think the E model burned around 1200-1300lbs of fuel per hour per engine. As good as the E model is the K is much better. Yea, we will finally have a chopper we can do A2A refueling with.
  19. This is why I would like to see a H-53, preferably The Ch-53E model for power.
  20. Hi, this problem is in World and World 2 Alpha, when I select Mission on the left side of the box under the heading Modules all my aircraft are listed but the gazelle is not there. I can create a mission and it is available in the acft list to place, if I then save the mission to my missions and click on the mission the gazelle loads, so I know it is there and activated and working. How do I get it to appear along with my other aircraft. I completely removed and reinstalled everything which did fix my stuttering problems but did not help this problem. Thanks
  21. In the mean time I am flying Drakes in Shadow of War and bombing Ord's with fire
  22. WOW! Fantastic video! I think the vtol landing is going to be tough because when I asked about that...I noticed when I watched Harriers land on the deck they normally bounce when VTOL landing. The F35 does the same thing. Does anyone know what is the normal Decent rate to touchdown for the AV8B. Thanks... The response I got was... It is calculated on the spot by the pilot based on aircraft weight. By Zeus67. So if I get it, it means we are going to have to figure fuel expended, weapons expended then calculate how much thrust for a specific vector at a specific density altitude...I can do income tax math pretty good so I'll be doing a bunch of conventional fixed wing landings. LoL
  23. With World 2 I get a black screen if I assign any controls to my warthog. If I start the M2000 without changing anything it starts and sits on the ramp. I have tried to do a repair but it did not fix the problem. Anyone got an idea how to delete all the controller files and reinitialize them in world 2 alpha? thanks Update: Both the Beta and the Alpha 2 do the black screen after setting controls with the M2000C I think this is a Windows 10 issue so I am going to go back to a fresh install of Windows 7 and try again. Did not have to do win 7, I uninstalled all DCS world and world 2, reinstalled World Beta and Just the M2000c and everything is working.

    Decent Rate?

Thanks for the answer as far as manuals, I found these and know somewhere in the over 1000 pages there is probably a chart LoL Or go to this site and download both of these manuals... http://aviationarchives.blogspot.com/2016/05/av-8-harrier-tactical-manuals.html I found this on some helicopter forums that might help us.... To make an approach at a 45-deg. angle, and maintain a 300 fpm descent rate, you would have to have a ground speed of about 3 knots. For a 30-deg. angle, about 5 knots. For a standard steep approach angle of 15 degrees, it would be an 11-knot GS. The formula I've come up with is: h = v / (110.2 * tan (a)); where (h) is the ground speed in knots, (v) is the vertical speed in fpm, and (a) is the approach angle in degrees. For the airspeed, you would have to take your headwind component and airspeed calibration into account. A1-AV8BB-NFM-400.pdf
