I figured out that win 10, in settings under privacy I had to allow the Microphone to be accessed by apps and now everything is working. I got SRS installed and working so that will be fun and a new experience using radios to comm while on a DCS server instead of typing in chat. As far as discord for me too many options brings a feeling of more complexity so I will see how it goes, I have never been much into chatting and have always done it on a forum.

Why is discord better than teamspeak? I have no problem setting my Hotas with teamspeak as a push to talk, but in discord I'm finding it difficult to even get the microphone to work. I'm just wondering why alot of people are migrating toward discord.

I had to right click on my folders and make the permissions change to "Everyone" and give it full control. I did this for all my dcs folders and all my track ir folders to get things to work right and save correctly. Also check the versions of your missions, make sure they will run in 2.5x Hope this helps

In the article they were saying how the f-14 would float on final and so the pilot had to cut the engines back more to get it down but if he missed the approach it took a long time for them to spool up. he also wrote about it not wanting to hold a course or attitude, he made it sound like the pilots were working up a sweat the whole approach sounds like it will be a lot of fun landing on the boat in DCS..

The October issue of Combat Aircraft magazine has started a series of articles on the F-14 beginning with the A model and it iis very informative. ROE says they have to shoot first before you can engage, at least that was how they did it on our first visit to Libya with the U.S.S J.F.K. CV-67. But once they did shoot the Tomcats claws came out...it was a short fight.

When you get this boat done make it a little bigger and put CV67 John F. Kennedy on it . I spent many days and hours launching and recovering CVW-1 Tomcats while working Fly 2 and Fly 3 in the early 1980's. I remember how exciting it was parked off Libia and they launched ACFT toward us, we launched the F-14's on cat 1 and 2 standing alert 5. The Airboss let us listen in on the chatter between pilots as they dispatched those Migs.

As strongharm says, if you are unsure, use the F11 feature to ensure that the airfiled does actually belong to your coalition. Bottom Left hand side denotes this via colour block. Grey is neutral and will not Rearm, Repair or refuel anyone.

The next version to do is to keep the basic system but use powerful magnets to suspend the cockpit and move it instead of using wheels. The response time will be much quicker and it would be super smooth.

I ran into the low FPS problem also in the latest Beta release. I was trying the ME-109 on interesting mission 1 and the fps was "1", So I reloaded everything and tried Mission 2 and it worked ok. It looks like only some missions are causing the problem. Alos Processexplorer seemed to help alot.
