A study aid Powerpoint file for noobs like me
tusler replied to mooshim's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Please re save this as a office XP document like a .ppt instead of a ppsx there are a few poor guys like me that cannot afford Office 2007. I downloaded Microsoft's 2007 power point viewer but it would not show any thing but a black screen when I opened the document.:helpsmilie: -
You don't need to save money for it, get it from wallmart.com with your credit card and just pay 1bill a month for 5 months. That is what I did.:P
-
I got mine at Walmart.com, had them ship it to my nearest store that way I saved on the shipping:)

159th Viper, Sorry,:noexpression: it was not my purpose to put your integrity or knowledge in question, that would be way out of my pay grade anyway:doh: My bad, I am glad that is how it will work. In this day and age of anti piracy gone crazy I am shocked that a publisher would take care of the people that actually purchase the sim. Usually us paying customers pay in frustration also due to the extremes company's go to in order to protect their product. Once again it is refreshing to have a group like ED who not only strive for realism and programming excellence but have great forward thinking in customer service also.
-
Well in this thread here according to 159th Viper activations are renewed and you never run out? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=62964 That would be wonderful of ED to do that but I don't think that is how it works:music_whistling:

Hi, I have seen hotrod pilots:smartass: flip the gear up when they are beginning their takeoff run and as soon as the weight is taken off the wheels the gear immediately retracts. But if their is a problem with the weight on wheels switch it could be the end of a pilots career:cry:

Thrustmaster Warthog for DCS:BlackShark
tusler replied to STP Dragon's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Woohoo, I found it, Open here and put the files in: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ka-50\joystick Then when you go into the options screen in the sim, open the controls tab. Then click on an empty slot under the joystick column then click load in upper right and navigate to where you stored the DCS HOTAS Stick file and select it then click ok and do the same thing in the throttle column for the throttle and your done. If you want his keys map then do the keys column also  -

Cool, I have Windows XP 32bit 4gig ddr2 1066 mhz E6600 2.4 ghz clocked to 2.8ghz GTX 460 1 gig video DCS A10C runs smooth on medium settings with 1024 cockpit res and High textures, water is low, and I am not using HDR or TSSAA. I am using full screen and a resolution of 1680x1050:thumbup: There are a few minor annoyances because it is a beta but it is great fun already! :joystick:

i have scoured the internet and my publications looking for any mention of a fuel dump system on the A10 Warthog, I cannot find any:huh: . Understanding that aircraft normally have to meet a criteria of weight when they land I would expect it to have a dump system, I know all naval aircraft do..., large helicopters do also... but maybe the A10 because it can carry so much and is made to run on 1 eng,1 rudder and 1 elevator...naaa:cry: It has to have a dump system. I doubt that we will ever need it in the sim though:music_whistling: You are killing me with hard questions stop already:surrender:

In XP it is located in C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX Hope this helps

I have not done it myself but I think I read in the forums something about if the buttons are pushed to no allow fueling and then the crossfeed is opened and pumps are on that it will vent the fuel overboard. It was something like that anyway. Here is the thread I was thinking of: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58665&highlight=fuel

Well, considering that humans are crooked, not symmetrical and will walk in circles if blind folded cause one leg is shorter than the other, are imperfect making mistakes all the time, using imperfect materials to make components for the KA50 that was designed by imperfect people and then are using an imperfect person to assemble the flawed, imperfect parts into a complete helicopter. Then an imperfect pilot gets in and reads an imperfect gauge and trys to fly a perfectly straight line or make a perfect turn:lol::lol::lol: That's just too rich, heck they are lucky the thing even gets off the ground without coming apart:megalol::megalol::megalol:

I started Black Shark and went to options/controls and individually mapped everything I wanted and I am amazed at how stable the black shark flies and hovers :cheer3nc:with this Hotas because there is no slop in the stick I guess. I use to have the 568B Flight stick and the pro throttle hooked up and while I thought it was good I had no idea how lacking it was until I hooked the WH. Wow what a difference. In time CH might get the Target software right so it works but for now  to many folks are having problems getting DCS sims to work with it. So I am not installing it.:no_sad:
-
I wonder if reinstalling over the top of your current install would fix the problem. I'm thinking it might replace the corrupted files. But if this problem is because of an freeware plane install, I would uninstall the plane first and see if that would help. What is the last thing you installed before this happened? Might try uninstalling that.

Need ideas for Multiplayer mission making.. lets hear them please!
tusler replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
like real life How about a road with enemy vehicles approaching, infantry across a field east of the road hunkered down in a ditch, a dirt road to the south of their position, have the enemy vehicles turning down the dirt road going toward our guys. have enemy infantry spread in a north to south line heading from the N/S road walking slowly eastward across the big field heading toward our troops. Have mountain behind our troops to the east cutting off their escape that direction. Cause us to get in danger close and see if we can kill the advancing enemy before they kill our troops and not accidentally kill our troops with friendly fire. -
The campaign in this game is great fun! I really liked the ability to fly to where fighting is going on in the map and helping out the war effort. Great campaign
