  1. Yes select the item in the axis list and then select axis Tune at the bottom and there is a place to put a check mark to reverse the axis.
  2. Do a search for Sundown, He has a complete ground school setup for FREE and you will be up an flying in no time!
  3. Map your throttle to the collective and use the yoke as your cyclic. it will work for a while till you get a stick
  4. This is my first try at mission building, no enemies are present, there is a carrier and a frigate cruising back and forth at 20. there are other aircraft operating at the airport. you can refuel at the field or the ships. Feel free to add to this mission. Thanks ShipPractice.miz ShipPractice.miz
  5. I can only imagine all the juicy tid bits that are going to be in the enhanced manual!
  6. Thanks for serving! Hi Sir, Having spent some time in H53's I too am lost without torque indications. Thanks for your service! Now you could do many of us a big favor and put together some guides on non-radar combat helicopter tactical procedures to help us stay alive in BlackShark:joystick:
  7. I notice the darn soldiers with the stingers wait until you are so close you don't have a chance and poof, you turn to dust!
  8. Just my 2 cents, but I think aborted starts require like real life procedures. 1. Let the engine completely spool down, verifying by the RPM gauge. 2. Put switch in crank/false start so engine spins on starter without fuel introduction, this will rid the combustion section of any excess fuel to prevent a hot start. manually abort the starter engagement within proper time IAW manual and allow the Eng to spool down again. 3. Move the crank switch to start position and repeat the correct start procedure.
  9. Don't worry on that mission it is near impossible to see the enemies in that weather and your helo would have wound up Holy anyway!
  10. Yes they are in there but have you been able to play any of the MP tracks in the replay, mine will not work. It works great playing SP tracks that have been saved but none of the MP tracks will replay!
  11. Try pushing the PageUp key 2 times
  12. Perhaps you have a connection after all check out this I found http://www.airforceworld.com/heli/eng/ka50.htm "ISRAEL AIRCRAFT Industries is also working on another Russian helicopter, the Ka-50-2 Erdogan ('born to be a fighter'). With Kamov...":music_whistling:
  13. I had the same problem, put your graphics in full screen instead of windowed mode. If you are in windowed mode you must first click the Pause/break dialog box and then select the pause /break key on the keyboard. Going to full screen corrected this for me. Hope it helps
  14. Hi, Well if the sams are hidden in the Trees there is no hope, Trees will be fixed in the new engine release in 09 from what I understand. Other than that what I have been doing is putting the bird in a forward flight of less than 50, with Altitude auto on and scan constantly with the shkval out between 4 and 8 clicks in front. i notice the sam accuracy past 3.5 clicks out is not that good if you are flying nap of the earth. You might also want to setup padlock incomming missles and when you hear missle launch, padlock it and see what direction it came from. Thats about all we can do now except like you say use the wingie for bait. I zoom in on the shkval so that it takes up the whole screen and can pick out stuff a surprising distance away.:joystick:
  15. WOW Great find thanks!:D
  16. Generally speaking, anytime you have a fire on an aircraft, you first isolate the fuel from the fire, typically this is done when the "T" handle is activated and fire surpression agent is released to the offending engine or compartment and simultainously the fuel system is shut off if it's and engine fire. The collective is then dropped in a controlled emergency decent to get the thing on the ground where the damages can be properly assessed. In the sim I notice when i am on fire it is because of enemy weapons, this {sam or stinger} missles to a helicopter are almost always fatal if it results in starting a fire. In the NATOPS manual even when going through the proceedures to initially fight a fire it is stated to begin emergency decent to any avaiable landing area. With hydraulics and overspeeds, if the altitude is available to deal with shutting down an engine, or switching the Hyd systems fine, but when you are operating close to ground or tree tops, there is usally only time to try and set it down in one piece. What will be nice is to learn in the new manual of the emergency operating restrictions such as max weight, max speed, manuvering, max weight allowed to still be able to hover on single eng. Density altitude charts and the effect. That is why I will buy the manual when it comes available. If you have any connections, as it sounds you may, if you could get the real 2-1 or whatever the manual is that has the emergency procedures for the real aircraft you could certianly use it in the sim. I have tried but the military did not respond back to me so I have to wait.
  17. If you feel like spending $3 there is a book available at Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Gunship-Academy-Maneuvers-Helicopter-Simulations/dp/0874551536
  18. I don't know if this stuff will help but I have found some stuff and maybe a littlle of it might apply. Here it is - Navy.txt Tactics.txt Helo_SimTecT2004.pdf Helo_SimTecT2004.pdf
  19. I think it might be difficult to perform on this map. Doomed to be a POW :music_whistling: ScreenShot_004.jpg
  20. Hi, even if you bring the pulldown box open and select all controls before clicking on the default button?
  21. Go into options ,controls and click on default button.
  22. You are mentioning zeroing your collective, If you do this, then yes you will get into a vortex ring. Instead do like the post are mentioning and maintain a zero VVI, you will be constantly using collective to accomplish this. I find if I trim below 12 Klicks then hit auto hover the system works well.
  23. In order to gain 20% authority over collective pitch I can see why it is necessary to automatically turn on altitude stabilization, after all we are trying to get a stable hover and not drift down to the ground or climb a bunch while focused on searching for targets. I suspect that altitude stabilization staying on is a safety feature in case auto hover gets knocked out or shuts down due to electrical malfunction Think like this, it may not be a big deal if you drift horizontally but it will be a Hugh deal if you drift down into a bunch of tree's.
  24. I can not let this by! I was there many years ago when Falcon 4 was first released, it was so bug ridden it was not playable. The FM for its time was great but it is not even close to BlackShark to day from the standpoint of aeronautical moment and inertia calculations. Now pay attention you don't want to miss this point- Falcon 4 is on version 200+ by now after 20 years of development by some of the greatest programming minds in the world. BlackShark is on Version 1 after only a few years of development by a handful of dedicated sim developers/very smart programmers and it's FM and entertainment value has F4 beat hands down. Put another way if all the people that worked on F4 charged that sim would cost Thousands of dollars by now. BS has it beat on all points and it's only the base product there is yet to be incorperated a new engine and many modules.
  25. Hi, Yes, that is what I would like to do, but after landing or crashing during online multiplayer if I hit the ESC key I am taken back to the screen where I can choose a slot, or disconnect, or exit. As a client there is no place to save the track file and there is no debriefing screen like there is in single player. That is why I am asking is there a record function or a key press to save it that I am not aware of. Thanks
