i have looked in there and when I load the file to replay all I get is a F10 Map picture, no flying enemies or anything. Just a static picture of the map.

Hi, Rockets to me are worthless, but I have seen some guys do diving rocket attacks with great precision! I'm not sure but I think they are point and shoot. The gun on the other hand is awesome, lockup the target in the Shkval and then hit C to turn on the gun, yaw the helo a little left so the gun can see the target, hit the trigger and watch things die. Don't forget to select the proper rate of fire and AP or HE for the target.:joystick:

I don't know what causes it but I do know if you get it flying in that configuration and you push hard right pedal trying to straighten things out the rotors will hit and you will crash:joystick:

Hold the trim button down while you are yawing till you get where you want to point and then relase the trim button, or hit flight director and yaw or turn off the autopilot yaw channel. Half the fun is finding out what works for your style of flying! :book:

Hi, This has been addressed in other threads but basically what i understand is this type of rotor system trims completely different when on the ground or in a hover. If you have the stick set for a proper hover and you are on the ground I guess the helo will be moving and not sitting still. If you trim on the ground so the helo is still-not rolling with the brakes off, then when you hover you will be going backwards. i am learning to sense from sight and move the stick ever so slightly foreward as I lift off and when the drift is not to bad trim there, if you want to hover use auto hover otherwise you will go where the wind sends you, which is all over the place for me.:joystick:

Hi, I don't know if this will help but what I did is I went on google maps and looked up Maikop City and then printed maps of the entire region the game is in with City Names and all, then just fill in the Farps as needed. :book:

If you are thinking of using an X52 or Pro check the forums, many of us are getting errors and BS is shutting down because of the Saitek software drivers. I think I read of a workaround but am not sure . It is something to do with direct input.

Not only do the blades flap but they also have lead and lag and if you have the upper and lower blades with upper drooping, lower flapping up and the lead and lag going wrong yes they could hit each other. In the sim get up a little speed and do some violent:joystick: pitch changes with the cyclic and you will see.

I think you are very lucky, I am sure if you have both versions on the same hdd that they are Sharing registry keys and there possibly could be conflicts because of differences in the programs! :doh:

Inside your temp folder the one in the KA50 list there is a errors.log in there, does it show anything that might point to something causing this?:noexpression: And are you running the Saitek software, I was and I was having CTD problems, I removed the software and just use the USB parts of my Saitek controllers and the CTD's stopped happening.

I found a work around I checked all the accelerations settings and DirectX and they are all good. I have found that the PS2 mouse disappears also after playing just a short while in Single player and Multiplayer. What I have to do is Alt+C, two times when I can not see the mouse or the yellow cross in the cockpit. I turn the click-able cockpit off and then turn it back on again and the mouse shows back up immediately every time. Other than that it is working fine so, I will just map ALT+C to a button and be good. Thanks:joystick:

Sir, This is just a generic mouse that plugs into USB, I have never had any drivers for it and it works in everything except the BS english version. I have no Saitek drivers installed at all so they are not conflicting, I also removed all joysticks and the mouse problem persisted. The PS2 mouse I have installed is working but even it is weird turning to a black pointer and then back to a white one after the sim starts. However I will try moving the mouse to a different USB port, that should be the equivalent of reinstalling it, and let you know how it's working. Thanks for the quick reply.:thumbup:

Hi, I got the English version, Yea!. I setup a 80 gig drive with a new install of XP SP3 with all updates and the latest drivers on Drive C, Then I installed BS on Drive D, I was using a USB mouse, same as with the Russian version and it works fine there but when I start the English version and get into the cockpit -the mouse completely disappears- not to be seen again until I reboot the machine. So I reached into my bag o tricks and hooked up a PS2 optical mouse, when in windows the mouse pointer is white [i am using the default setup for mousepointer] but when I start BS the mouse turns black, then when I get into the cockpit it goes back to being white and a yellow cross. What is causing my mouse to go nuts only with BS? I have only the new install of windows xp and BS on this drive, I have the russian version on a different physical hard drive. :huh: Asus P5n E6600, 4gig ram, Nividia 8800gt video

From what I've seen the Russian version which I have is all in Russian except the tool tips in the cockpit which can be in english. The english version is all english, labels,tool tips, bitchin Betty, campaign speech, training speech,wingman coms,plus you get a lot more tutorial videos. It will definately be worth getting the english version and the real manual which ED is producing.

It's the saitek software I had problems galore when I install the Saitek software and x52 drivers. I was getting ctd and errors. I uninstalled the Saitek software and drivers, plugged in the controllers and set them up as best I could in the sim with just USB and I can fly all day now without a hick-up or glitzch of anykind.

Hi, BS consistently crashes to the desktop during multiplayer at 3minutes and 14 seconds after takeoff and heading toward WP4 on only 1 server. The server is =TuAF=Server (Dedicated) 85.97.129.4:10308 Ping is 252 MP-CTD.JPG If I fly on any other server it does not crash, I am running unmodified BS on a Asus B5N E6600 with 4 gig of PC6400 ram and 8800GT video,I use Saitek X52 but with no drivers installed just usb recognized by Windows XP. I am using embedded sound since I can not hear so good anymore anyway!. I know the answer is play on a different server, but I wonder why it crashes only on this one that is Dedicated? :huh:

H3 and H53's are prone to this during startup of the rotor they wobble like a weeble but don't fall over. On aircraft carrier we chain down all helo's and planes, during heavy seas the chains stay on the helo until it is actually ready to lift off, but what we did was loosen the chains so they had lots of play, if the chains we not slack enough the helo would enter resonance and vibrate itself to pieces.

In the manual there is a page labeled Engines and Equipment Shut Down I do not know the page# it is in chap 6 about the 15th page right before Route Descent and Hover Modes

Look at How to recover an activation post. I put a PDF I found in there that keeps you from loosing your activation or key! Oh, sorry, i see your problem, Starforce register key, I would be asking the Starforce folks I'm sure they would know.

Try this There was a post on this but I cannot find it but I did print it out. 1. click protect.exe with admin rights and select deactivate & click next. 2.On This product requires activation screen enter serial # and press OK. then press AeakTNBNpoatb to start the deactivation. For the next steps you need an internet connection 3. A screen opens warning DCS will be deactivated. and after deactivation you will not be able to use it until you reactivate it. Press the top selection AeakTNBNpoatb Then you get a last warning screen press the top selection marked Aa to deactivate DCS. Then you get another screen with an OK button on the top right and a box on the bottom with a code in it. Write down the code in the box on the bottom, it is your deactivation number and you will need it to reactivate DCS. The next time you activate it use the syntax: Your Serial Number : Deactivation code Here you go : How to deactivate DCS.pdf I think the original post was done by kaos.dll if you have questions.
