Thank goodness I bought the download version and not the steam version of A10C. My steam account has been stolen by hackers, it appears many people have had this happen. Even though I have submitted a support ticket to steam who knows how long it will take to fix this and in the mean time I can not play any of my steam games. But I can still fly my A10 :pilotfly::joystick::):):):) My advice from experience now is stay away from steam, even with steam guard they can still steal all your games on the steam network.

Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle Faulty
tusler replied to Dodgeza's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I bought mine last november and it just quit on me today:( No lights and Windows 7 or XP does not recognize it as a throttle. All it sees is something called Hotas Boot. I am taking it back to Walmart tomorrow and hope they will take it back. $500 paper weight:cry: -
I can take no claim for this POH (pilot operating handbook/help) I downloaded a long time ago and have used it with different sims. It is not really specific to the A10 environment or aircraft but there is some stuff that may help. It is in doc format so you can change it around to fit your needs. http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=651096

I am a diabetic so I am not allowed to fly even though I have a natural ability. I taught myself to fly Ultralight and have many, many years experience flying tree top and hill and valley. I got to fly the last Navy C121 around the North Pole on my Blue Nose flight back in 1977.;) I spent 16 years fixing H-53's and got a little stick time, that was fun. I just figure I was lucky to be around aircraft and work on them for such a long time.:P

I am not sure, but it looks like Win 7 is suppose to have stuff in the \user directory for sure. You might want to do a uninstall, delete the folders and then do a complete reinstall.

So uninstall the Norton and put M.S. Security essentials on there for free!

During war time I have seen jets approach much differently than in peace time. I have seen them come in fast at 90degree to the runway at about the runway half way mark and do a hard break for the down wind to loose their airspeed and get dirty quick while turning base for a short final. This got them on the ground really quick compared to using the normal full approach procedures.:book:

All I can tell you about the lights and combat is if you do like I did and leave your lights on (forget to turn them off-it can get busy quick at fence in) and the flight lead gets shot at because of it don't be surprised if lead swings around and shoots you:cry:-man he sure was upset:music_whistling:

Synchronize Cockpit Controls with HOTAS Controls at Mission Start
tusler replied to Matt18C's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
yea it works really good when you start a mission in the air and you have the throttles set to off and the fuel switches wrong. Be learning air-start procedures real quick:music_whistling: -
If I remember right there was talk of a patch so Black shark and A10C would play nice together, I wonder if that patch might wind up fixing a few other issues also. I do know we can trust ED! unlike some other developers they always come through with the goods. Instead of talking about it on the forums they are probably coding right now:P

if you are interested in a reality style money based multiplayer system you need to look into DCS Mercnaries http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ A good bunch!

Says it can transfer a complete HD Movie to your PC in less than 30 seconds! If we could use this with A10C we would have no stuttering during loading at all. http://newsroom.intel.com/community/intel_newsroom/blog/2011/02/24/thunderbolt-technology-the-fastest-data-connection-to-your-pc-just-arrived?cid=rss-258152-c1-264729

Yes, I was a jet engine mechanic for over 16 years in the U.S. Navy, with only a slight adjustment to the fuel control system a jet engine can burn anything from crude oil to gasoline. The problem is not finding stuff to burn the problem is it burns a lot of whatever you use! :D
