A clip from a real A10C student. http://www.dm.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123206789 You can see a short video here http://www.dm.af.mil/shared/widgets/popup.asp?url=http://www.dm.af.mil/shared/xml/rssVideo.asp?mrsstype=2&id=122&cid=224&cnt=6&pos=3 :pilotfly:

Yea, Thank you very much!

Track Please I would love a track showing setting up the Mav, getting a lock and fireing. I printed the manual and am reading it till I am blue, the manual seems to say different than what the training sortie shows to do. I got the thing blinking once but could not get anything to launch. Some of us are going to need a much better version of training than what this has now:noexpression: A track showing the process from beginning to end would help me a lot:helpsmilie: Thanks

The cheap way to print Hi, I picked up one of these laser printers, it pumps out 18 pages a minute, the toner cartridge cost $38 from "precision roller" and is good for 10,000 pages. Its not in color but I have markers for that... http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=HPLJ4000-R&cat=PRN

Love that CCIP I am amazed at how complex it is to setup a simple dumb drop. I have a new respect for the pilots of these things :drink: I really like the idea of using the smoke to identify the target instead of using labels! Great job ED

Not very demanding My system is a Duo core E6600 cpu at 2.8 ghz, I have 4 gig of Ram, and am running Nividia GF 9800GT 512. I have the settings on medium with shadows on low and water on low. The real help is I'm running XP, I find a lot of games run better concerning FPS on XP. Anyway my eyes are'nt that great and neither is my hearing so I'm easy to please. The terrain, other aircraft and equipment on the ground look good and I have not had any stuttering problems. I'm sure it would look nicer with more power but it is very playable and fun as is. And this is the beta, its not optimized yet!

We are lucky They could have made it real true to life and when you get everything setup and #1 eng is running, you go to start #2 and you hear aloud BANG as the eng catches fire, you pull the T handle and quickly shut down everything as the crew chief says it sucked the flashlight that he forgot, down the intake. Now you have to wait for 4 hours while they change the eng. I enjoy watching the EGT gauge when starting the APU or any engine. In 16 years of being an engine mech and running engines to certify them prior to the pilot showing up I have seen that EGT guage do some really wild and crazy things. Once I started and APU and the turbine shaft sheared which made the rpm go wild. The rpm gauge and the egt gauge both went all the way around the circle 3 times before I could shut it down.:megalol: Yea for me them gauges bring back alot of memories.:book:

Works in real life Check out this video of an F15 flying and landing with only 1 wing, the right wing was torn off in a mid air. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7PBHawwpeM:joystick:

Hi, I have a CH 568 Combatstick USB connected with a CH Pro Throttle and am using Saitek rudder pedals. Everything works great in Black Shark and in FC2 but I have noticed in the A10C when I create any kind of mission either by manually doing it or by having it generated the pro throttle will not move the throttles and the buttons on the sticks (either of them ) are not recognized. When I run a training session all the sticks work and all the buttons I have set work perfectly. What am I doing wrong? When I create a mission the keyboard keys continue to work as they should. Thanks

No. No.

That pilot is hardcore...He has not ejected yet:huh: I truly find it amazing that we can get this level of programing expertise for $49.95 with the finished product. Even the US mail does not provide this great a bargain. Mind you I am not complaining but merely grateful.

Take a Real Flight The one thing a sim cannot do is replicate reality correctly...even though the BS team has come closer than anyone before them. Take a flight at your local airport in a small helicopter, the training kind, they will usally give you a introductory flight cheap. What you want to watch is how far he has to move a control stick and how much response is achieved and how much lag there is between the input and the airframe response. Things will make much more sense once you do this:thumbup: I have flown an H53E while in the Navy and I can tell you I was shocked at what 1/4" of cyclic movement translated into with a 35000LB airframe. If in a real helo you were to take the stick and quickly, like slam it to the control stop, you defiantlyhave broken something and you probably just committed Helocide:cry: Yanking and banking is for the A10 or the SU27:joystick:

3D not For Me! Something no one talks much about is what 3D does when you have a fast Astigmatism eye problem or in my case I have Nystagmis which cause my eyes to flick from side to side very quickly in order to find and focus on anything. Sure fire recipe for a massive headache. Have fun!

It usally happens just as you have the tank scoped out for a kill and he has you scoped also. You loose you aim ...tank does not:megalol:

No Radar warning, no radar guidance, no radar SAMs?
tusler replied to oho's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Its not the role that matters, you just have to find a pilot with stones the size of a goats to fly the mission! :megalol: -
Blades clashing ( Again, but different reason)
tusler replied to mrtube's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Ok Here is what I found. I was flying to fast "with the rotors on auto". Thats the key. set your throttle to a good key press for you, I think it is PageUp and PageDn default. Now when you get going to fast reduce the throttle (rotor rpm) I have found coming down from cresting a mountain I can attain very high speed without crashing rotors just by reducing the speed of the rotors. Even flying level if you start to get any kind of warning dropping rotor speed instantly helps, of course you have to feed the spped back in slowly inorder to recover and continue. Hope it helps. -
dcs multi-player, how to keep %^%$^%$ out of my server?
tusler replied to hyperfighter's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
another thing to do Hi, Since it sounds like the good guys know each other or at least know the name of the TKr everytime he enters the game after he is known, everyone blow him out of the sky. especially if he is the only one not on Team speak, just gang up on him, he will tire of it quickly. -
Hi, Well I'll tell you what i got and it runs Black Shark and FSX well enough, will not run FSX with everything maxed but It was cheap to build and runs stuff set to about 70% of max. Mainboard: Asus P5N-D CPU: E6600 dual core Ram: 4 gig ddr2 pc 6400 Video: Nvidia GF 8800gt 512 ram Dual layer DVD/RW You can always do a search for Dell refurbished and they have some really great deals on scratch and dent stuff on their site. Back when I built my system it cost about $900, you could probably build it now for 5 or 6. Hope it helps

Hi, When you installed Black Shark did you right click and install as administrator? If you did not that may be your problem, a lot of guys with vista have had that happen to them

Get In CLOSE- GUNS! GUNS! GUNS! Best of luck to you! I get slaughtered everytime in Air to Air fights.:megalol:

Hi, I'm no expert but it looks like you are having a conflict with starforce. To uninstall starforce look in your device listing and if you find it you can uninstall it there. I would do a uninstall of BS first then the starforce driver. I had a similar problem so I took a 40gig drive and put XP with SP3 and all updates on fresh then installed black shark, it worked and I have no more conflict. If you use any virtual cd programs, alchol120 or anything like that starforce may not like it. All I can say is Black Shark is a good enough program that to format and reinstall fresh is worth it for me. Hope this helps

Yep your right it is the mini stick, I tried to set the a dead area, but the mini stick is not one of the things that I can set. It definitely goes off center just enough to drive the mouse. I installed the latest driver and programming software but that made no difference. What did work is I went to the device manager and disabled the Magic mouse. Now the mini stick does not bother anything. I am calling Saitek tomorrow, I have only had this stick about 2 months and it is already junk, has led's not working and ministick not centering. My old 568 combat stick is like 8 years old and still works perfect, so I will eventually go with the pro throttle setup. Thanks for all the advice.:joystick:

Found the Problem Its not the ministick, good thought! It's the wheel on the front of the throttle that corresponds to buttons 34,35 I think. When the mouse starts creeping in the game if I move that wheel back and forth a little, the mouse stops creeping and works fine. I think I'm going to go CH products with BS, saitek has too much trouble for me.

Hi, When I run BS everything starts out fine but after about 5 min the mouse cursor in game creeps to the top of the screen, I can move it down but it constantly then goes back to the top of the screen. I tried the ALT+C, changing to a diffrent PS2 mouse, PS2 optical mouse, USB optical mouse. If I do not run BS I have no mouse problems. When I run BS and the mouse starts creeping, I then exit BS and the mouse is creeping in windows. I reset the PC and the problem goes away. What in BS is causing the mouse to get that messed up? I also tried the USB mouse on 6 different ports, same problem. I have a fresh install of XP SP3 latest patches and only BS on this HDD. I have a Asus P5N-D mobo E6600 Dual core CPU GF8800gt video Using onboard sound Saitek X52 all buttons are set in BS, not using saitek software

Great Sim I give this a 100% simply as a Helicopter simulator, once the fighters and other helicopters are released and incorporated into this sim I don't think it's been fully realized yet that this will be a better flying for fun sim the MSFS. Hook into teamspeak for live ATC and you've got a total winner here without blowing anything up or shooting anything down, those are just freebies:thumbup:
