My original flight game was Jetfighter on an IBM XT when the game was first released.

The other thing I had to do during the training missions was to frequently hit the Pause key so I had time to read that tiny font before it disappeared! Pause is your friend!

If they are selling for that much in NZ I might start selling them on Ebay for like $800 and call it a bargain!

Well Kinda, Lockheed Martin has gotten their hands on FSX and tweaked it to be more toward R/L training. It looks like what they have done is drastically reduced the number of cities and airports in order to increase the fidelity of the graphics and still maintain decent FPS. in reading I see that FSX add ons can still be used with it so I am wondering what have they actually changed? :music_whistling: Any way the link is here: http://www.prepar3d.com/

For that kind of money I can buy a laptop at Walmart and have the manual in color on it while I am flying on my desktop system :music_whistling:

Hi, Don't know if this will help or not but here is the warthog controller manual which shows pic's of the buttons,switches with their proper names. It helped me see what i am up against when setting my controller up. Plus it is as the real aircraft is and you know millions of $ were spent figuring out what the best position of the controls should be for the pilot. I think you have to go into options for each aircraft and set all the button presses on your joystick to the key press.

Problem is in RL if you fly that slow, that straight for any length of time you are toast ,well done and crispy,.:music_whistling: Of course if you have had sead teams completely clear the area, and fighters clear the sky then I guess you could fly in there with a C172 and drop grenades out the window. I have watched these guys in war time come in beaming the target, do a pop up and roll maneuver, take out the target and break away. It was awesome!:thumbup:

Same here I am running exclusively in XP 32 bit. I have tried renaming the files and I have tried applying the beta 2 fix. I can find no work around for this problem. I'm sure the next update will fix it so I will stay away from nellis till then no big deal. E6600 2.8 ghz 4 gig ram GTX 460 Well I went back and cleared the temp folder again like Nate said and it is working now... at 5 fps but it is working. Ok I'm going to shut up now until I know what I'm talking about. I turn off the HDR and the TSSAA or what ever it is and set the view distance to medium and now have a low fps of 17.

Also before you start A10 check your controls calibration from within windows. I was having problems and found the calibration was off in windows. hope it helps

OMG, I am running this on a E6600 (2.4ghz) oc'd to 2.8 with 4 gig of ram and a gtx 460 video card with textures on high and other settings on medium and it runs great. Now if I could learn to pilot...well thats another story

It is very cool, leave it in but move it to an area 51 hanger and put so much protection around area 51 that if anyone ever made it alive to see it they would be the greatest pilot in the world or the luckiest!. Set the base so that the sams respawn every 5 min when destroyed.

This is why after I install everything on a clean system I use clonezilla (free cloning software) and make an image of the whole disk on an external usb drive. Then if I restore it I loose missions that were flown but not the software installs.

Yes I had the same issue when I used a X52, I changed to CH pro throttle and never had the problem again.

Ram question To the guys having the HUD fail on them. How much video ram does your card have? I'm wondering if somehow you are running out of resources. I have not suffered it yet and am running a geforce GTX460 with 1gig on board.

Stick Assignments Hi, First off I had to go through all the default button and axis assignments in A10 game and in A10 sim and clear all the assignments one at a time in both profiles. Then I went to axis and under the column for my throttle I set it up in both A10 game and A10sim profiles. I had to do this for all button assignments and all axis assignments. The reason it is not working is it is conflicting with a setting in the other profile.

YES you can learn with this If you learn with the A10C everything else will be childs play! :music_whistling: Read the manual all the way through, even if you do not understand what it says just read it. It will sink in and make sense later. Remember real pilots spend a lot of time in ground school before they ever get close to an A10 so don't expect to learn a hi fidelity sim like this in 1 week or even 1 month.:smartass: This is one of those programs I can use for years and still learn a new tactic or a better way of killing a tank or a sam. :joystick: I don't know of to much I can buy for $60 and say that about.:thumbup:
