Oh lord, the level of bickering between the two opposing view points here is nauseating. While you're undoubtedly allowed to support HB and defended it where you feel necessary, you can't just attack people over their criticism. People forget because of the nicheness of this community that HB are a business and while we all know the owner and employees, it means that the business is open to the criticism of its customers. While obviously a common courtesy should be applied to that criticism as to not make it too personal or berating, it doesn't mean people should go all white knight and act like children because someone said something in a negative light against HB. That being said people really need to in general just take a calm backwards step from the forums and just breath a little while the module is literally only weeks away now and all these tantrums will be forgotten until the next module to be embraced by the DCS community over its release.

Gee wiz I've gotten to the point where the release has me excited for another reason, because threads like this can finally die until the next module :lol:

Will be great to also see what the community comes up with in the coming months!

This is great news, this sub forum has gotten to the point where I'm just as excited for the launch because it also means it will be the death of the endlessly stupid and moronic topics in regards to the Tomcats release and replace them with legitimate topics about our favourite fighter!

So is this considered the release date that you're "really close" to announcing, especially after the stress test that you had on the weekend? I'm happy either way, just hope you'll clear up any confusion about your comment. Thanks for your time as always in the forums Cobra, I'm sure you're currently a man whom has very little time for Forum browsing.

So my sentiment is that HB can bring a swift end to all this bickering and speculation by simply stating that either the module will be released no earlier or later than the 20th, or that they will definitely get it out before then. Because regardless of maturity clearly the patience of people has been strained by all the ambiguity.

Great work! Curious to why the RIO pit wasn’t shown or why the next episode won’t be converting it? I thought with the reveal we’d finally get some RIO content? Regardless this was a very professional video Jabbers!

Oh the humanity! It feels slightly cruel but awesome at the same time to see!

While I'm sure the team is working to their maximum abilities on many vital things for the RC1, I'm curious to the state of the texture template and when can we expect its release? I remember with the Hornet it came out some bit before the release, it was awesome to get a start on the many skins that then were ready for release. Can we expect to see the .PSD files before release or will it come after? Cheers.

The BuNo for this Tomcat is 159437, which is an F-14A of VF-142 and VF-32. Whilst in VF-32 it was one of the two Cats whom shot down the two Libyan MiG-23's in 1989!

Yeah looks like the two videos slated for this week are to be placed in the DCS world "this week" ward. Though looking forward to next week as usual, hopefully we'll have the manual and some videos on the RIO pit.

Then they should just say this Sunday, rather than this week. Bit like how if they simply said coming on the 20th of March all the bickering and speculation would cease to exist and it would make HB’s life just that little bit easier, it would also take away all the hasseling that has asrised over the release date.

Or the two Heatblur videos that were slated to be released this week, strange that they’re going to drop them both at the same time now or just back the the usual?

Where did you hear that Feb 27th was their internal date? All that has been said by Wags was ‘this month’ and all that Cobra stated was that they communicated a intended date to ED. I don’t know where you have gathered an actual date from, I’m just curious to see where you heard it from. Thank-you in advanced, certainly is getting close!

Sure they might release the long awaited follow up to the fight model video released a year ago? :thumbup:

The Tomcat has completely burned the whole ‘two weeks’ moto out for me. Something inside me buckles over whenever I read it now.

Awesome reply! I think we all know that once the Tomcat is released all this bickering and immaturity will largely disappear and all thing in the past will be forgotten! Oh and that 70,000 pound weight on your shoulders will also be largely lifted! :thumbup:

Thank-you for commenting so quickly Cobra. So what should we make of Wags/NineLines comments? Disregard them until we hear it from you? Seems like there is some real communication issues between ED and HB if they went public with this before you were ready to announce anything yourselves. Puts everything in an uncomfortable position if you’re not ready.
