  1. Total agree with you, way over priced and for that price you definitely should have much more options available to you. Thanks for pointing out that the Slaw has better Axis precision and better materials. I appreciate your input. Cheers.
  2. I hear yah VpR81, But again it's still down to choice. Some people like their springs soft and some like them hard- like yourself, again this down to preference. I have mine situated under a desk without any issues. I measured the height of the TPR before I brought it and saw that it was about 20" tall which is not an issue my for desk. As for the Slaw been the best Rudders you can buy again this is down to opinion and choice. I looked at the Slaw but didn't take to it- again choice. Nice to know that you have had your TPR for 2 years without issue that is very reassuring to hear. Many thanks Rapid.
  3. I hear you about the price. If the spring hadn't broke in my Saitek, plus the fact that I had it since Black Shark was released I decided on a new set. I was looking around for a set that had toe brake as I had gotten used to using it on the A-10c and maybe the fact the I already had the Hotas and Throttle by TM I bit bullit. Was it worth the price well that's a big fat NO. But setting the price aside I do like the peace and quiet no more plastic clacking sounds when I use the Rudder system. Glad you are happy with your choice and that there is a market that offers choice and individuality for selecting components.
  4. Cheers for that, my desk is against the wall the unit is pressed against the wall so works out fine for me.
  5. I finally bit the bullet and replaced my old Saitek G Pro Flight Rudder had it for a while but got fed up with the clonking clacking sounds it would make when I used it plus one of the springs broke in one of the pedals yes its a known problem. Had it since DCS released the the first module BlackShark so it had a good innings. So I got myself a Thrustmaster tpr and I must say it is nice and quiet no clacking or clonking and so far so good. Did a search on the forums and only found one major issue but it may have just been one off - snapped nut. Took me a while to get one due to the present climate. I take it everyone who has one is satisfied with it?
  6. When I placed my order I had no contact from the company then it just arrived after a few weeks.
  7. I would go for the 1TB but if you can go for the 2 TB.
  8. So didn't go with a bigger Hard Drive I see.
  9. Will be interesting to see how ED works out the pilot and co-pilot / gunner for single player mode as no doubt they will implement a co-op mode.
  10. Nice post sir. How did your switch break in the first place was it just normal wear and tear ?
  11. I see, not checked mine yet.
  12. Are you using the games options to apply your settings?
  13. Stuff Me! Seems that the update changed some of my settings. I must have missed that one. Many thanks for pointing out the error on my side Flappie. Rapid
  14. All I can say is YESSSSSSS. Not sure how long it will take before it's finally released but it will be a waiting game for sure. I for one cannot wait, many like myself have posted on this thread that you cut your teeth on Longbow2 (1997)and got the Chopper bug. Longbow2 was good for it's time including the graphics. In today's standards it wouldn't come close visually but here's the crunch....the game play, campaign and even "Bitching Mary" has yet to be matched by anybody. You actually felt part of the war effort this is how immersive the game was. One minute you were playing pool then all hell breaks loose and you have to head out to theater. You could be Sam hunting, Lasering a target, dropping troops off , picking troops up or flying escorts all for the war effort and I for one miss this "game". So let's see what ED can bring to the table. It's never going to be like Jane's that's for sure but let's see what magic ED can do to bring this Bird into a modern era. And for ol time sake ........
  15. Hi Flappie, I can confirm that FXAA is "off".
  16. Hi, Since the newest update to DCS World . The lettering around the UFC and the AAP is now out of focus and blurry. Infact all the lettering looks the same around the cockpit. Noticed on the A-10c ll Rapid
  17. Cheers but I am waiting for the release of the b-fighter M:thumbup: I posted a link to the sneak video above
  18. Great news well done:thumbup:
  19. I think what is requred first is you need to tell us what steps you have done i.e where have you placed your files which folder where used, where you added the line in your Script Lua and where have you placed the Raygun software. Just so we can advise on each steps rather than bomabrd you with do this and that.
  20. Can you get the Raygun software to work with the Buddyfox? i.e flash the lights?
  21. I managed to get mine working. Just download Raygun 2.4 and place this line at the bottom of your Scripts Lua file: local dcsRg=require('lfs');dofile(dcsRg.writedir()..[[scripts\DCS-raygun.lua]]) Make sure you run Raygun first before you start up DCS. You can even test the operation of the light with Raygun.
  22. On second thoughts...I think i'll wait on the b-fighter M
