  2. We do not need aircraft anymore with all that life on the ground! Brilliant work. By the way, the Fehmarnsundbrücke (picture) could only crossed by diesel trains, the bridge isn‘t fitted for electric driven locomotives. Not in the 1980s, not even now … Edit: Info for @OneEyeRoss
  3. The Cold War Germany Map will be immediately after publishing the top map in DCS, I think. A WW2 version later would also be great, but it has not necessarily be on the same size. I would buy with pleasure.
  4. And the possibility to change from the modern helmets with the NVG mount to the older ones would be nice, especially for use in the upcoming Cold War Germany map!
  5. This map is so unbelievable cool !!!
  6. You are right, I am with You completely. The 1950s/1960s were Cold War era, too, and all the nice VW microbuses racing through the streets of Hamburg were built from 1950 onwards. So they still fit if we fly the map with F-86s and F-100s and MiG-17s and MiG-19s and so on.
  7. The last steam locos in West Germany were withdrawn 1972 ... From then only electric and diesel power, so that should be the way on this 1980s map. More important are the correct buildings/stations (infrastructure) and routes (logistic tagets).
  8. Hamburg in the 1980s ... before the big train stations were built ... like Dammtor at the base of the TV tower ... The tour through the city looks really great! But the train stuff could be a little bit improved in future updates. Trains and their lines and stations were and are always infrastructure targets and - also very important - the big stations are recognizable landmarks for setting up initial points for air strikes. Don't get me wrong, the town is impressive. Thank You and Your team for this great work, @MAESTR0!
  9. Pro Stück oder pro Paar?
  10. Ach so. Edit: @Air Joker, was haben Deine Vorsatzlinsen gekostet? So zum Vergleich?
  13. I see a DDR diesel loco BR118 (V180) in the middle of this pic beside the "sixpack". Am I right? But Hannover is deep in the west. Do we get a Bundesbahn diesel, too?
  14. Yep, and an upgrade of the Fw 190D-9 also ... long overdue ...
  15. I suppose the name is still legally protected ... Look at the Nevada map and the Murage hotel for example.
  16. The Lübeck area of the Baltic was not unimportant … Soviet HINDs tested the NATO here sometimes by violating the border in a low level flight if I remember right.
  17. I hope so, too, also that my first home base Husum is included in Phase 3 beside Jagel and Eggebek (without ck at the end, by the way). At least the main operating area in the Baltic will be there from Phase 2 on according to the map. But as I am no big fan of the Tornado (it is a clumsy bomber in real life), I would prefer going there with Kormorans in the F-104.
  18. I would suggest to wait for the announced official F-104 module from Aerges. But if You want the mod, You find it in the "Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World" section of the forum.
  19. If You take off with a FULCRUM at Laage instead of Preschen, it is not Cold War anymore ... and You have different markings on wings and fuselage ...
  20. Just found this thread - great! A real working Jag is exactly what we need for the upcoming Cold War Germany map! I love the Jag, flew it twice on photo missions in 1986 and 1989. First jet I encountered with a HUD in the backseat. 1986, dashing along the border to East Germany: And 1989 during Tactical Fighter Meet 89: @crazyeddie You are 1,88m tall in my measuring system and I am 1,84m - and I fitted well in.
