  2. thank you. been trying to find a solution and googling for over an hour. about to try you lower FOV and see if that helps. Really hard to fly a night mission.
  3. There are two pictures which show it different from the top pic which show the wide hud verse narrow hud. The harrier hud was upgraded for the NA to the new wide hud. The picture at the top is not from the NA but from the trainer. The picture used does not represent what you would see in the NA.
  4. Here is a pic of a Spanish 2+ with the upgrade. If you zoom in on the hud you can make out the 20 in the bottom right of the hud that would have been cut off in the older style hud.

    Laser JDAMs

    I have done it a few times... You have to remember the laser is only good for few miles so you might have been to far. I also always change the code off 1111 not sure if that matters. I dropped like a jdam and then after about 10 sec (I was up at 30k) sparkle on and it hit the new target.

  8. If it is close to after startup then it is INU is not aligned enough. Flight alignment is 3 minutes (speed appears), full alignment is 15 minutes. Not sure how long into the process till Autohover starts working as never timed it but it will not work for awhile after a normal startup.

Laser rangefinder operation mode for one flight, series: Each serie consists of 16 cycles of 10 seconds with 5 sec interval between the cycles. 5 Interval between the series, min: 30 pg 454 of the manual Everyone I train, I tell to hit the fire extinguisher and repair after each flight. It is rare but if you are using your laser range finding a lot during a flight you could loose it on your 2nd flight so best just get in the habit of repairing. Nothing worse than RTB cause laser burned out.
  11. if you are having issues try changing the language of the cockpit and then back. I had some bugs in the English one that went away such as shval not working and map not loading. The only bugs I have found so far is the lws power and test is well sorta missing and the hardpoint power lights are only orange when I turn away and look at them from 45% or so off center. Using track IR.
  12. Same issue on my side so I guess we are both missing something or its a bug. I usually am cold starting so I just enter current pos I used in aligning then the correct cords.

  14. You mean the 2 mfds? They export fine using the LEFT_MFCD and RIGHT_MFCD options like you would for the f-18/Harrier/A-10 ect.. If you need a copy of one to play with let me know
  15. It should be telling you in the error what file/files it is not able to delete. You said harrier so if I had to guess it would be one of the below 3. The 2nd one deletes your controls for the harrier if you have it installed. The other two will fix themselves thru a repair so no issues deleting them.   16. know you probably dont want to hear but work on your a-a refueling. Once you get the hang of it, harrier is actually pretty easy. A lot of times I take off 50% fuel or so to carry ord and then refuel after takeoff. GAW is great for that on the LHA slots. Really fun going up with 2 empty tanks, pod,2sw, 4x1000lbs gbus and doing a deep strike ;)

  18. Cant speak to real but you might try the below and try to isolate it down to what is actually happening. Might help if there is an actual issue with troubleshooting it. There could be all sorts of things going on that can cause a lock to break. The two main reasons I loose lock is pilot is cranking to hard and the radar just cant seem to keep up or the target is either to far away to a P-PD hand-off or I missed when I should have done it. To eliminate the tracking issue flying try straight and level and slow banks. To eliminate a P to PD hand-off issue stay under the target and don't let him get into ground clutter and keep the closure rate greater than + or - 150 (book says 100 but I hand-off at 150 to be safe. Try those and see if you can narrow it down to explain it better. Trying to troubleshoot an open comment is near impossible without more information.

  20. Is the chaff/flare working correctly or maybe it only works correct set in the mission editor? If it is I must be missing something . Pilot - Use ground crew to set amounts Pilot - re-arm/refuel without changing the amounts RIO - reset system (right 5 second) RIO - Set L10, L20 & R10 to C or F depending on what is loaded RIO - Set R20 to C RIO - Set correct amounts in the counters I have only gotten near the correct amounts once (10 off) and never been able to reload them after landing. Is something not implemented yet or am I just missing something as a RIO?
  21. Just curious but I see you probably have a fix for Jester but will it also fix the issue with RIO crashes or is that a separate issue? Rare before the patch but had quite a few over the weekend as a dedicated RIO. Great job btw with the module

  23. I have not had any real issues. Confirm the radios are set to Man, turn off then on if in a hot bird, set freq front seat back seat, use XMTR SEL to select if I want to talk on mine or the pilots radio. On a few servers I have had to fiddle with the KY-28 to get it working though. There might be a server setting or something but turning that on to C and then Pad-1 or Pad-2 usually gets the radio working. Also I have found a few issues in hot start planes so I try to always go cold start
  24. Just a couple of things from a dedicated Rio might help you guys <10 miles generally Pilot takes the radar and he is using his modes to get a lock. I go visual scanning. With a plane that close it is near impossible to see the target long enough to lock on the radar unless both planes are flying pretty straight and level STT track - it is generally 50/50 for loosing lock. 1/2 the time the pilot is jerking the plane around too much to maintain lock or I should have done a hand-off to PD. If he is using lock a lot try keeping banks under 15-20 deg. and see if that helps. If you pull a hard bank I will almost loose lock every time. If not, try keeping the plane above you as maybe he is not doing the P to PD hand-off required to maintain lock. This is a two seater and I know pilots want a good jester but as a rio we do not want jester near the ability of a human rio or else we would be out of a job #noai #humanriosonly #riounion hope that helps a bit
