  1. What did you use for the brush
  2. Harlikwin, it’s not as big a dog as you think, an upgrade to a 1080ti minimum over the 980 you show in your signature will give you quite an improvement straight away. I went from the 1080 to a 1080ti and saw a good deal of improvement. I don’t want that to sound snarky, my step-son built a 980ti SLI rig and the next year I bought the 1080 and it beat his SLI bench marks by two fold. The only reason I haven’t jumped to try the 2080ti is the meager 30-35% increase in performance as we don’t get the benefit of the newer feature set in DCS, yet - fingers crossed.
  3. How about considering taking $50 deposits to ensure demand is met. I don’t care about waiting just that I can really acquire a set.
  4. Ranma13 sorry that spell check respelled your name wrong in the post above. I hope you will continue working to make a full fledged driver for the base. I am taking it that CLS2Sim is their proprietary driver for their bases. The feedback that I experienced when flying the military sims was incredible, I hope we can add that to DCS in the future.
  5. An F-18 grip mod for the warthog would be interesting
  6. Here’s the email I received: Hi, Implementation of DCS in CLS2Sim is planned and on the ToDo List Main Features will be Dynamic Forces.. Estimated approx. End of Q2/2019 maybe only a one aircraft will be supported on the beginning kind regards Stefan Brunner Brunner Elektronik AG Industriestrasse 27 8335 Hittnau Telefon: +41 44 953 10 10 Fax: +41 44 953 10 19 Direkt: +41 44 953 10 22 E-Mail: s.brunner@brunner-innovation.swiss Web: http://www.brunner-innovation.swiss
  7. I have been following this thread since I saw the base last year. I sent them an email asking for a hard number in a group purchase to prioritize creating a driver in DCS. Instead they responded by stating they will have drivers in Q2 of this year for what will likely be one module. Not sure if the FFB hooks Rama has seen in the DCS modules are standardized. But maybe it’s time to save in earnest toward one of these bases.
  8. Did you size the DDIs to fit displays?
  9. Miles, your time to bring this forward has been extremely fast and you are doing this on the side. You have been amazingly transparent in communicating milestones and set backs as this product has gone thru development. A lot can be learned from you by some of the “leaders” in this industry. Two years we have been waiting for an add-on stick from a certain company which refuses to communicate with their customer base. Bravo to you, I am sure you see the goal post now and are looking forward to finishing it off and getting them out the door as we are to get them. Thank you!
  10. Next week, next month or the month after. We are all lucky to have contributors like you in the forums.
  11. Nice job! Looking forward to the file release!
  12. At no point in this discussion have I ever suggested free parts or service. I have pointed out that RRhode as the North American extension of VKB could have used this opportunity to be a brand ambassador and helped directly facilitate getting the parts, instead he punted it off to another forum. If he chose to solve the problem immediately he could have been a hero. This is elementary customer service. He chooses to be defensive and point to fine print and legal agreements. I have no expectation Carmax is going to maintain parts for every car they sell and would never go to their service department. Carmax provided a one year old, well maintained, low mileage Range Rover for $28K lower than new from a dealer. Range Rover doesn’t maintain value so buying new is for folks that have money to burn in first year depreciation. A Range Rover Dealer is going to have parts and they aren’t going send me to another website for parts.
  13. No! I’d expect support for a VKB product (XYZ) from VKB. Target and Walmart are sellers for suppliers of products. I bought my Ranger Rover at Carmax but take it to Range Rover/Land Rover for repair. To the customer VKB is VKB. You had a chance to improve a perceived poor image of the company, the product you sell and service provided after the sale and totally missed capitalizing on it.
  14. You truly missed the point. The Wow was for your failure to take ownership for solving a problem faced by a VKB customer. You are the face of the company, yet you choose to deflect and blame 3rd party resellers. No customer cares who’s to blame only that VKB fixes the issue. If you have the time to monitor forums you have ample time to reach out to a customer to make the problem right.
  15. The thread has a common thought and it isn’t brand positive. You could have helped turn the tide of public sentiment. Instead you choose to provide additional steps for an unsatisfied customer and snarkily respond to criticism of your missed opportunity. Why doesn’t it occur in your personal response process to say, “Hey, one of my customers has a broken product, let ME reach out and solve it for them.”
  16. Or YOU could reach out to him for the support he can’t get instead of making him jump thru additional hoops. Just saying.....
  17. It’s still may be worthwhile to send an email for part, service or both. The worst they can do is say no. It would be interesting to see the company response posted here.
  18. I certainly don’t want to see delivery delayed. I only said anything because Miles actively asked for feedback. His answers completely answered and changed my thoughts and showed how thorough a developer he is. I am sure once a couple hundred of us have it on our heads and fingers we will find any needed improvements. I have bought two HMDs and multiple monitors, joysticks, rudders and throttles over the years. If I wind up buying several generations of I consider it the cost of improving our experience.
  19. Thanks for the info Miles. Just figured I would try to give feedback as requested. Your answers prove how much thought and detail you are working to implement. I can’t wait to try the set.
  20. Every headset is a little different, instead of mounting in an L shape over the top, could it just have a flat back. That way you could mount it anywhere on the face of the HMD. Maybe you need it that shape for the circuit board. It would be nice if you had an option to mount with double sided tape or Velcro. I would like to try it on both of my headsets.
  21. I use both Rift and the O+. I am sure you will find a solution for the vive lighthouses.
