  2. In the simplest of terms, DCSBios provides a library of commands for you to choose from. You attach your switch to one of the Arduino pins and ground. You then upload a sketch of the DCSBios commands to the Arduino you have attached to. In the sketch you specify what pin is associated to the switch you want to activate. You cut and paste the command lines to your sketch and fill in the pin assignments. It will take some time for a library to be created for the F-16 in DCSBios by one of the talented folks here on the forums. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I am using Leo Bodnar cards for switches and Arduino for leds. Bodnar cards have unique serial numbers so they don’t rearrange themselves and allow switches to be used across modules by assigning them in game. DCSBios works well with Arduino. For me using Arduino/DCSBios for switches made for a one plane pit, Unless you want to flash all your Arduino cards when changing modules. There is definitely 100 ways to skin this cat. I have one xkeys matrix board from years ago. If you assign keyboard commands in the game for the switches you want to activate you should be able to use your xkeys. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Have you considered using Helios with a single monitor or two monitors landscaped behind your physical mask? You should be able to adjust and size gauges and viewports to fit the holes you have made. The lower the number of monitors you have the higher your frame rates will be. 7. Post 191 of this thread and the quote from Cobra seems to paint a different picture than your “facts” Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. This one isn’t notchy, and is about the only thing around to let you feel when going into AB. It is robust enough to stop you from accidentally going into AB but smooth enough to let you select without sliding it across your desk. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  11. Well I will keep my fingers crossed for the UFC, DDI and MPCD. Not much around for F-18 builders. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. F-18 push to Jett on ebay Guessing we will see them again with a zero added to the price. I added an auto search for new posts from his shop and the item number. The hunt for the grail switches marches on....LOL Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. Having followed this mod over a couple threads, the group bought some aspects of the aircraft from a prior developer. The original developer had intended to make it a full fledged project until they got the price for licensing from the manufacturer and that seemed to kill the project based on projected sales vs cost to produce. And we got this mod when that endeavor lost steam. Free has significant limitations. Once the group takes money lots of folks want a part of the action. Hopefully, as time moves forward we will get this one as full fledged module along with a few other historical icons - F-4, P-38.
  17. I am having a go at making a custom layout for my pit build. I have completed the basic layout by editing in Captain Zeen’s 16:9. I am trying making a full physical front dash mask with homage to the F-18 layout. Would it be possible to get the F-18C RWR added to the gauges library? How can I edit the IFEI to not have the switch panel at the bottom so I can move the bezel lower? The image isn’t in the library? Can anyone share how to make the HSI, VVI, ALT, and Airspeed Indicator active. I have tried to mimic everything related to these gauges from the original file but the don’t register when the game is running. If I load the original they work fine. If there is a video I haven’t found as a tutorial that explains how to activate these gauges, please point me in that direction. Thanks in advance for any help offered.
  18. You might want to try FB or Email from the company webpage. The OP Bamse hasn’t been active since March. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  21. There are some issues noted on the install page related to how DCS was installed. Make sure you are installing where DCS is actually saving to by checking the dates files were updated. The read me helped me out.
  22. Are these MAX485 modules interchangeable with the MAX487 chips that are being used? The data sheets I found seem to have several MAX48x chips listed as RS485 transceivers. The modules seem to have the mentioned capacitor included on the board and could speed builds up if they are interchangeable. Thanks for any insight. https://www.ebay.com/itm/5PCS-MAX485-RS-485-Module-TTL-to-RS-485-module-for-Arduino-Raspberry-pi-JKHB9/193026204529?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D40719%26meid%3Dba1aff641af3465f8c6075975243099a%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D193026204529%26itm%3D193026204529%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Afbeb7849-cacd-11e9-a627-74dbd180e451%7Cparentrq%3Ae05b254a16c0a4b7b6c212c4ffd91cc5%7Ciid%3A1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Pcflights is still developing their center panels. They have the brow panels with lenses. http://pcflights.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=47_70_73 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Are you using and on/on or on/off switch. My understanding on this is the code change is essentially a release command. If you have an on/off switch wired backward changing the value would result in off/off or on/on. Wouldn’t it? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Reverse the actual wiring from the switch to card? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
