I wish a game chair manufacturer would make an offering for flight sims. Seat bottom adjustment (back down front up) Middle cutout for the stick, and narrow back to allow arms to reach switches next to you. I bought a dedicated seat after looking at trade show demo videos and found that you can’t reach anything closer to you than mid thigh and the lack of seat adjustment very uncomfortable. Chairs on wheels are an invitation to disaster for me.

Thanks Guppy. I just got my last center panels from Hispapanels so it’s time to finish the front. Given Helios state of flux, Ikarus is something I need to look more into. I printed Brun’s UFC which looks great but I can’t find displays that fit so a hybrid super hornet style UFC that displays info is very promising.

The English version is new, one step in the right direction as he said a translated website was forthcoming. Really strange nothing is for sale directly on either website. Hopefully winwing can answer that for us. Right now to me, he is doing nothing but gauging market interest in a product under development. There is no better (or more critical) of a focus group than these forums.

From your links in the video, It looks like you are getting data from Helios, is this correct? Are you going to share once finished, because this is awesome. Can you share the screen manufacturer?

Seems like the physical pit would press up close into the blank area if you are scaling to the height of the HUD image. Any stray projection onto the physical pit panels would be minimized by the dark image.

ED sends us a news letter each week highlighting benchmarks and milestones. It may not have everything one hopes to hear about but it makes us feel like we are valued as customers. Companies have the freedom to develop products in secrecy, but once they publicly display them at industry shows they are on the hook for updates. TM fails miserably at customer communication. Most of us would be happy with a simple “still in development” or “not happening”. TM spends a fortune attending and sponsoring auto racing simulation events and that seems that is where their focus is. They have several wheels for different cars so they understand the desire to touch what you see onscreen. Many of us would like the same experience when flying. I would buy an F-18 and F-14 stick as well as dedicated F-18, F-14 and Harrier throttles. It’s a hobby and spending money on enjoyment is what we do to make it more immersive. I have supported TM over the years by purchasing the F-16 (plastic, gameport), Cougar, Warthog, MFDs and two rudder pedals. That support is dwindling with the addition of Virpil to the marketplace. Virpil’s communication is outstanding, hopefully they can sort out the poor online purchase/preorder experience. If Virpil can build a factory and repeatedly introduce new products that sellout in minutes, I fail to understand why TM can’t add anything new.

Hate asking last minute questions. Will extra mounts be available for folks with multiple types of headsets?

So hang a bag of 13 apples on the end of a 12" ruler and that will give you some idea.” Nm is a measure few would seem to have any exposure to, much like mm/ml to those raised using the imperial system. It would seem the force perceived would be less the longer the extension used between grip and base.

Ugh, mixed messages from internal sources within the same company. A company without clear direction, focus and corporate messaging is troubling. I was surprised by the answer I received to my email as I had also gotten the “maybe someday, not a priority” from them previously. I am always amazed by the talent and capabilities of the DCS community here on the forums to do what the hardware “big guys” refuse to do. I am more than hopeful that Ranma13 can develop a driver that is universal for DCS modules.

It wouldn’t be a simple mod and would require using a separate I/O card. The photos I have of the F-18 throttle show a braided cable running down the right throttle arm into the base. Had to try to plant the seed. Lol
