  1. Let me stop you there, wikipedia is utter shite in these scenario's. The summarising specifications are usually a mix and mash of whatever the previous models are capable of. If you carefully read the page, you'll see only Singaporean F-5E Tiger III's get a different X-band radar for firing the AMRAAM. If you follow our version, F-5E Tiger II: If you follow up on that radar, it'll state: If it's not able to fire sparrows, don't count on it guiding AMRAAMs.
  2. I knew I read somewhere it had a self-destruct capability, but my logic was flawed to apply it to 'failing to acquire the target' in most cases. I was thinking a little too much of SAMs which tend to self-detonate after losing lock. Thanks for the source/correction.
  3. That's what i said :) I think I heard somewhere the SA-11 does a trick like that with its TELARS when you put the AI on something high, not sure though.
  4. Ah yes it does have some form of mechanical INS for navigating to where the Command Launch Computer tells it to go, before going active. Terminal guidance is solely relied upon with the passive RF seeker though, and otherwise detonates if it can't find anything. So its INS doesn't help too much.
  5. This is inaccurate for the HARM version we're getting, INS/GPS was implemented in AGM-88D+ versions, which essentially makes it a rocket powered JDAM. Whenever you launch the D+ versions just map an INS/GPS position to fly to, in case the radar switches off. AGM-88A/B/C just have an HARM Command Launch Computer (CLC) which takes the emissions on launch and hands them off to the missile's *basic INS* to determine a point for the missile to go pitbull on its own seeker at a fixed point and where to kinda find the target. Hornet won't get any pod since none were ever used (though HTS was tested just about once I believe it doesn't justify modelling it). So we are limited to pre-planned, or launch via RWR and the seeker's own seeker head - these last two will severely limit the range compared to pre-planned or transfer of data from HTS. All in all, if a radar switches off the Hornet's HARM, it will miss, lock on another target or self-destroy (read that somewhere, it will self-detonate if it can't find anything).
  6. KNEW I'd seen a recent statement somewhere, cheers Inf
  7. Fair point, and I love your optimism, but just a quick 5m stint with the search tool on these forums reveals: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2682973&postcount=8 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2874454&postcount=3 Here's a few more recent posts by Skate, little over 2 years ago. If I were a dev/Mod i wouldn't want to keep repeating every post i made every few years, if you've been active for over 8. But it was a fair question since the lasermav has seen some new love between the harrier and the hornet.
  8. Aye, they've already stated it will involve at least one iteration of OB update to get it right as far as the stuff from previous OOB update is concerned. I mean, the IRMavs don't even give IR video yet
  9. Hi, please see this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=987145&postcount=70 No AGM-65E(L) will be added.
  10. Alright cheers, could you link that in your post as well? Good to shed some new light on it via my post.
  11. While in A/G mode, while i was testing the Mavs, i could just mash the Bar button on my Radar DDI page, to infinity, results below. Not sure if this behavior is normal, please correct me if so. Steps to reproduce: 1. airstarted with mavericks and amraams 2. went into A/G mode, and to Mav page (not sure if relevant) 3. radar screen goes undesignated, but i can spam the BAR button to infinity, autoincrementing all the way
  12. Can you include pictures or better yet, some footage of your HUD, DDI, or a vid on you going through setting up the mav/JTAC interaction? It's hard for me to judge whether it's due to the JTAC not being in type 2, your armament being SAFE'd, laser code just set to 1 mav or all.. Even including your procedure in text format helps tremendously in detecting errors. Just throwing a single sentence on here 'stuff don't work' doesn't help people to help you :) give us more info, and we'll probably be able to fix whatever's going on
  13. Russian forums have their own section if you scroll down on the dashboard of the forum, you could repost this thread there :)
  14. This might be a translation error, as shown below, in the English version correctly states mine as an SA-2 TR (SNR). I don't believe Iran has ever held the S-125//SA-3 in-game, and they shouldn't, because I don't believe they've ever fielded it. Try and edit your top post, to show that it is probably a translation / naming error so it can be fixed.
  15. Hi there, can you please list the country you are having issues with? I can't read Cyrillic and I can't google translate stuff from your screenshot. I checked my russian ground units and found both SA-3 (S-125) and SA-2 (S-75) to correctly have their own TR's (SNR's). Screenshots in the spoiler below.

Epic, a couple Sadjad's skins have been added and the Tor has been added to Iran. Whoever's monitoring this thread, thanks ED! :D
  17. Make sure to call TERMINATE after your first maverick hits, so the next time you request LASER ON, the JTAC lasers a new target.
  18. Hey dude! Check the image below for my JTAC settings, Assign Group is configured the same, i think you only need one or the other but this works for my training maps. As for the lasing after the first target, confirm that your JTAC's laser isn't snagging on any poles or trees, mine always snags a pole near the airfield after 3/4 targets so I had to go in and move him around in the ME. Ensure that after you've destroyed your first target, send Terminate call over the radio, so when you recall LASER ON when you fence in again, he starts putting the laser downrange again (on another target!). My implementation/procedures are quite noobish but its how I've got things to work on my end.
  19. Confirmed reproducable, hit IMAV display, then switch to A/A by weapon select switch, IMAV display changes to IIR image of nothing.
  20. Cheers for the info! Wondering what implementation they'll choose for this, though I wouldn't entirely be opposed if they chose for the canister to deploy to whatever you set the weapon to.

Yessss very awesome! :worthy:Would be grand to also get the Tor system in there
  22. VT denotes the Mfuse will go off in airburst format (since the canister needs to release mid-air) and HT stands for the Height at which this will occur. Currently the cluster munitions can't be customised and will only go off at 1500ft I believe. The E-fuse needs to be kept on INST since that's the fuse of the bomblets i believe. I might have used some wrong nomenclature here, feel free to correct me folks and I'll edit.
  23. Youtube link for the others
  24. Every weapon added to the Hornet has also been improved in some way in the game, maybe they've just as much work to do for GBU's as they do for Mavs. Second to that, and probably the main reaon why Mav-E vs Gbu-12: By adding the Mav-E, they also make it easier to implement the Mav-H/G, which provides more parameters in which to deploy the Mav then just the GBU (without tgps as of yet).
  25. They lower the weight of your aircraft, that's the part of the calculation that's already in the game. As for the aerodynamic difference, probably not, but I wouldn't put it high up on the priority list of an EA plane. Especially as they were hardly ever removed on an actual cruise.
