There is a manual in the docs folder that should cover a vast amount of info about the editor although I feel as though it has no been updated in a loooooong time. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Thoughts on the best way to lock 60FPS...?
Darcwaynard replied to The_Bullet_Chef's topic in Game Performance Bugs
If you open graphics.lua in notepad++ you can set max maxframes = 60 and see if they locks you at 60fps. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
I can't seem to find it in the user files anymore. I downloaded it over a year ago so maybe it's not available anymore? I could re-up the mod to the user files at some point and link you. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

You shouldn't have to waste your time looking for what sensor is SOI when you're trying to assign it elsewhere. EG: if you need to make harm mfd or TGP SOI just do it and check for the diamond as you do it. With regards to mpcd map readability it seems most pilots disable the map or in my case I use a mod that allows dimming of the map while leaving symbology bright. Re: why JSOW is listed under A/G missiles. Its literally called an AGM-154 IRL. So...... Not to be rude but this stuff is either in the manuals, youtube tutorials or a search engine. We call it a study sim because we have to study the material to figure out how to use the gear. GLHF. ;-) Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

You can also press shift-k to bring up the kneeboard and use ] and [ to cycle through the kneeboard pages to bring up the various airport charts which will have your desired frequencies and tacan channels. Or you can fix the F10 keybind and get them through the map by clicking on the airport's. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[REPORTED] --- MAV won't lock TPOD desig'd target
Darcwaynard replied to SDsc0rch's topic in Bugs and Problems
I tested this mission out a few times (tracks attached) and didn't have an issue with using waypoint designate. I had a slight issue with locking the SA-6 radar during one pass but after spamming TDC depress a few times it locked up. One issue I noticed is that you're very close to the target at high altitude in level flight. Try setting up a bit farther away and point more towards your target so the mav seeker head as a better chance at locking up the target. Are you flying OB or stable? EDIT: After looking over your track it looks like you're almost on top of the targets, banking the aircraft or way off angle by the time you are ready to commit to a shot. The mav seeker head isn't able to look around like the targeting pod. By the time you're at 10 miles from the target you should have already picked the target and be more or less pointed at it. Hope this helps. Do use any mods or graphics file tweaks by any chance? I've noticed this can bung up weapons from time to time. IRMAV TEST NTTR - 2.trk IRMAV TEST NTTR - 3.trk -
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Those apps look great. I'll be getting a midrange android tablet at some point for this. [emoji106] Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Good day everyone! I have been considering getting an el cheapo tablet or kindle with a kneeboard strap to display all my pdf charts and whatnot. So I was just curious to see if anyone else does this and if they have any hints, suggestions or feedback. Cheers and thanks. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[NO BUG]MAV-F (IR MAV) + TPOD ---- difficulty controlling
Darcwaynard replied to SDsc0rch's topic in Bugs and Problems
This is a really good video on using the TGP and Mav F in tandem. If the maverick doesnt uncage automatically when you sensor select the mav page you can manually uncage and it should snap to the designated target. If you slew the TGP and hit TDC depress on another target the mav will snap to the new point. There shouldn't really be any reason to slew the mav manually if you are using the TGP. Hope this helps Also I could post a track later of how I quickly fire on 4 different targets using the TGP with Mav Fs. Cheers Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -

Darcwaynard replied to SDsc0rch's topic in Bugs and Problems
Dont forget you have to press and hold tdc depress if you want to slew the mav. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
They do have a dedicated programmer on Mavericks so maybe the viper will still get some love along the way. Honestly once it has Mavs and JDAMs I'd be happy to watch the systems and sensors get picked at along the way. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

IFA is for In Flight Alignment which isnt modelled yet. If Tricker said that it must have been a mistake or misinterpreted. Once you're aligned you always set to NAV. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[NO BUG]MAV-F (IR MAV) + TPOD ---- difficulty controlling
Darcwaynard replied to SDsc0rch's topic in Bugs and Problems
Once you lock your first target via TGP, switch SOI to mav and uncage. Then switch SOI back to TGP you should be able fire all 4 mavs with TGP as SOI. It's one of those things where you just need to learn the tricks to make it work. Its hella easier than doing the dance in the Hog that's for sure. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
So hopefully its feature complete in 2021. As long as it gets finished with all the features it's supposed to have to provide the most accurate simulation possible I'm happy. There's a delay, no problem, everyone's working from home and we are in the middle of a global pandemic. Fighting with the community over what is considered EA/Beta/complete is fruitless. Even talking about it seems to be toxic. I'm sure once the updates and fixes start rolling out everyone will relax a bit. Just get it done and when it's done its done. Just like everything else. I just finished working on a project worth millions if dollars that has been delayed 2 years past it's original completion date. Everyone is calm and dealing with it just fine. It's about getting through it with a cool head. Set backs happen. Everyone that is bunging up the thread with complaints and micro BS needs to chill out and realise what we are talking about here. It's a game, sim or whatever you want to call it. Yeah it isn't cheap but when you buy the product you check the little box that says no refunds and all is subject to change. That includes features and timelines. Let's just let these people do their work and get this thing rollin! And once again let's get the systems, (hotas as well please), AG radar, flight model fixes, data card and ATFLIR bumped up to the top. :) Peace! Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

More systems, AG radar, flight model fixes, data card, proper flare count, ATFLIR, mpcd rockers, etc. Let's put new weapons on the back burner and get the guts of the hornet up to snuff. Very happy to hear the team is redirecting its efforts. I own both the Hornet and Viper and as much as I love both aircraft, the Hornet has seniority and needs to get all the lovin' first. Thanks ED! Speaking of which check out this friggin hoser eh. Not the Charlie hornet but at least an example of an RL hornet driver talking about what he uses in the mpcd. Skip to around 1:40. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

I can't seem to be able to find it in the user files but there is a mod that let's you dim the map with the brightness knob. It makes seeing the text and symbology much easier while still being able to use the map for referencing where you're at. Still waiting to see of the rocker switches will be implemented and if they will allow the same amount of brightness/contrast control that we have in the Hog. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
