Could be a number of reasons. Aee they set up properly? Are they giving you a 9 line read back? Check this video out. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Once they implemented the ability to edit the programs within the ICP the ability to edit the programs in the lua file stopped working. Not sure why. Perhaps the code changed? I haven't had time to go back through the file so I ended up using the ICP lol. You get pretty fast after a few dozen cold starts. [emoji14] Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

JTAC information about target. Please help.
Darcwaynard replied to jimblue74's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
As parxuk stated you should search in the user files section of the DCS site and get the mod for coordinates DD.MM.SS. Attack heading is relative to your own ship and the target. Eg: "make your attack heading" 090 means put the target at heading 090 before you roll in. Egress West: After weapons release head west and await further instructions. I highly recommend searching for the Fighter Pilot Podcast episode about FAC-A's. Lots of info in there that applies to JTAC ops in DCS and provides a bunch of context. Not to mention the guy has some awesome stories! Also, welcome to study sim life. Download the manuals, chucks guides and get reading! YouTube is a gold mine of information as well. Good hunting. It's used for IFF interrogation on SA page and for NTCR print on radar page. Basically you put curser over target. Depress sensor select switch and you may may not get an identification. If you search for IFF DCS F-18C on YouTube there should be a few decent explanations. Its much more in depth than what I've stated. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[ACKNOWLEDGED] Cockpit lights and screens dim after last update?

I'm working on a SEAD/Escort mission and I'm a bit stuck on something. Hopefully someone can help me out. :) I have 2 AI B1s set to orbit at the IP until SAM radars are damaged/destroyed. After they are taken out the bombers are meant to continue to their target and drop their bombs. Instead they just continue orbiting. I'm sure its just that I don't fully understand how to use flags. Or perhaps I should be going about this totally different. I made a trigger that once all three SAM radars are damaged then a flag value 1 is triggered. In the AI STOP CONDITION for the orbit I checked user flag is 1. The following action is the bombing run. If anyone can take a look at this and figure out what I'm doing wrong it would be much appreciated! Escort B-1's Against Bandar Abbas TEST..miz

I'm trying to build a SEAD mission where you have to fly ahead of some B-1B's and take out sam radars before they enter the area. I have the bombers set to orbit for a set duration. Afterwards they fly to the IP and begin bombing run. When I tested the mission without SAM's on the map the bombers would fly the routes and perform all actions as expected. Once I added some SA-6 sites it seems that once the bombers are being painted (assuming here) by the sam site they dive down low and begin to egress without completing the bombing action. Is this normal behaviour or is there some action I need to add to the bombers so they will charge ahead despite the surface to air threat? Thanks in advance! Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

F-16C UFC panel not working (as intended)
Darcwaynard replied to Tinysnipe's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Press DCS Left (rtn) to return to main icp page. After that you can access the different pages via the number pad. Otherwise press LIST followed by subsequent keypad number to access LIST pages. Try taking a look through the manual found in the mods/F-16C/docs folder. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
Make sure weapons delivery mode is in CCRP. Make sure you've selected A/G within the TGP. Make tgp SOI. Should be good to go after that. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[NEED TRACK REPLAY]Bombs stil release with Hardpoints off
Darcwaynard replied to SUBS17's topic in Bugs and Problems
Right and left hard point switches are for the cheek stations. Eg: right hardpoint switch needs to be on only if the targetting pod is mounted. Left isn't used for anything currently. Therefore no ordinance is powered up or down with them. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
When mav is selected it takes priority over FOV hotas button no matter what sensor is selected. This has been covered in many older threads and apparantly works as intended in the real jet. You can also press the push button on the DDI to cycle FOV, you dont necessarily have to go through your fiddly work around. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

AI wingmen - Comm menu and other wingman commands
Darcwaynard replied to Notso's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Regarding presets. If you want to switch to channel 2 you need to type 2 into the field where you would type the frequency and hit enter. Afaik cycling the presets only shows you what frequencies occupy each channel. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
