It sounds like you're describing the crescendo sound that is indicating whether you're JHMCS is looking at off bore site or high off boresite. I cant find the actual number of degrees in the manual for each but Wags video on JHMCS explains it pretty well. I think its low pitch for 30 degrees off bore and high pitch for 60 degrees off bore. I'm not 100% on that one. Edit - ignore the above. The "pacman" sound is the seeker growl for the Aim-9x Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

I dont believe so, afaik the actual hornet hotas switch is spring loaded so the elevation only moves up and down with momentary presses of the switch. Therefore no ability to map it like a rotary like the Viper, Mirage or Tiger II. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

I seem to have made an error. I just read the manual and it does say to hold down the cage/uncaged button until the seeker has locked on. My bad. I think it works differently in the Viper and I've been switching back and forth alot. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Single press to designate/undesignate. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Same result. The only reason I noticed this was because I reassigned my rotaries from controlling the panel lights to controlling the HMD knob and left the second rotary empty. Once I started using the mouse to operate the knobs I found the weren't turning all the way up. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[NEED TRACK REPLAY]Incoming missile warning is 50/50 or worse
Darcwaynard replied to max22's topic in Bugs and Problems
What type of missiles are they? You will only receive a warning for radar guided missiles. IR guided missiles give no warning and need to be spotted visually. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
If the mav isn't locking on to your designated point from the TGP you need to make sure TGP is SOI and press undesignate/nws. Then sensor select the mav and sweeten the lock manually. I'm able to take out tanks without doing this usually but I have yet to try it on subs. Did you select ship mode for the mav? Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Well there is the trim hat of course. You could map the left hand trim wheels to an axis/buttons? Are the left hand console trim wheels even able to be mapped? Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

I had mentioned this in another thread but I'm not sure that it has been noticed so I'll start a fresh thread. Console, instrument panel and DED lights are unable to turned up to 100% by clicking and dragging the mouse or using the mouse wheel. To reproduce start hot on the ground or in the air. Set any of these functions to a hotas rotary knob and turn up all the way. I'm using an X55. If you look at the knob in the cockpit you'll see its turned all the way up. (roughly 5 o'clock.) Now, try and turn up any of these three knobs with your mouse and you'll notice that they only make it to the 3 o'clock position (roughly 80%) brightness. Another user has confirmed this issue on their end so I'm quite confident it isn't an issue on my end. Using the most current open beta.

If you're referring to wing up and down trim there isn't other than retrimming yourself. I dont think such a feature exists on the viper so I highly doubt they would model it. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[ACKNOWLEDGED] Cockpit lights and screens dim after last update?
Darcwaynard replied to Surrexen's topic in Bugs and Problems
Can we get another look at this? Console, instrument panel and DED lights, unable to turn up to 100% by clicking and dragging the mouse. To reproduce set any of these functions to a hotas rotary knob and turn up all the way. Please fix this I don't want to use my rotary knobs for cockpit lighting. :) -
No problem! The other issue could be that while in LTWS mode you need to have a tighter bar/azimuth scan to maintain the soft locks. Contacts will only update with each scan of the radar so I'm assuming this makes it more difficult to track said targets. I'd try again with LTWS except try a 2 bar scan with an 80 degree sweep. If you want to know more about LTWS check out Wags video here: Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Try unboxing LTWS. I was having the same issue. Once I disabled LTWS I was able to get solid locks. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[ACKNOWLEDGED] Cockpit lights and screens dim after last update?
Darcwaynard replied to Surrexen's topic in Bugs and Problems
I was testing the lights again and found that when set to an axis rotary the instrument panel lights are able to be turned up all the way. Afterwards I tested using the knobs with the mouse and they only turn up to about 80%. Seems like a bug to me. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -

[CANNOT REPRODUCE] instrument panel flood light
Darcwaynard replied to hflag's topic in Bugs and Problems
+1 I also noticed yesterday the lights seem dimmer. It looked like the knobs weren't rotating all the way to 100% but I could be mistaken. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
Installed new update this morning and decided to test out "home on the range" SP mission for the Viper. I ran a full alignment, set to NAV and went on my way. Steer points 2, 3 and 4 seem to be overlapped as the same way point. Not sure if this a bug or not, also forgot to grab a track. Is alignment bugged atm? Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Select QTY. Box stations. Step option is now available. There is a thread about this change on the Hornet forum. Could even be a sticky. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
Starting on page 151 of the current open beta hornet manual should help. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[ALREADY REPORTED] MULTIPLE TARGET LITENING POD
Darcwaynard replied to iPod's topic in Bugs and Problems
ED removed the ability to copy coordinates from TOO to PB as it wasn't accurate to the way the system works IRL. As far as your other issue I'm not sure. Did you select QTY and select each station? This is how you can access the ability to step through stations which was another change that was made. Hope this helps. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
